I kept getting eliminated even after re-entering three times. But it was pretty fun. 

It was fun until Betwrong showed his two Aces... and I thought that the ladies would bring me luck, eh...

I don't like re-buys, and I rarely use that option... Generally, I don't like tournaments with rebuys. When rebuys are allowed, games can last pretty long, and I don't have that time. I like raw games, when we play without rebuys, with what we have, and that's it... than it's more about poker than about the bankroll.

He's not talking about holding funds in casino, but he's referring to the general deposits and withdrawals that we make on the platform. For example, if you make a deposit using Bitcoin, the deposit amount at the time of deposit equals $100, but then you play poker with it for a couple of days, for example, and you manage to win some money on top of your deposit, but meanwhile, Bitcoin's price drops and it loses value. So, when you decide to finally withdraw the funds, you might get less than $100 even after winning some money on top of your deposit which was already worth $100, and that's only because Bitcoin lost value in those two days.

So, that's how this thing can affect you as a gambler or poker player, but as you said, it could go either way, sometimes you might lose some value for your chips, and sometimes they may gain value if Bitcoin's price goes up. That's why, it's not that big of a problem, and most people would barely think much about this thing or be bothered.

Yeah, I remember it in the past that there were users that would like to do it. Just like with my account, it's disabled but I've seen those users who were able to do that. So, I thought that it's not also available to others but I was wrong. This gives them an option that even if the price of bitcoin is going down, they have an option to deposit with stable coin and have it converted.

That means the system is not available in your account? If that's the case, really bad for you. This service has been available to me since I created the account. I use the web version via mobile and it works very well for me. I don't know what device you are using and whether it is an error for your account. However, if you want, you can use the web version through mobile. Maybe this service can work on your account.

Moreover after depositing any currency, chips are given based on the current price of value. So if you deposit BTC and others currency there is no problem.

It's okay, don't feel bad for me and yes it's not available in my account and maybe it's also because of my location. I have no idea and I am just guessing it. And it's good that it's available to you so whenever you want to deposit and don't want to spend some btc, you have the option to do that with USDT. I also use the web version at most times, and I am more convenient with that and so if it's not available in that version maybe on the other ver, it is. But using web version through mobile, I am not a fan of that and I don't want to lie in bed while playing online poker, mostly sticking to desktop version.

Even though I personally don't have a problem with it, I think it would also be nice to have the option to choose whether you want your chips to be pegged to Bitcoin's price or have them pegged to a stable coin, like USDT. For example, one USDT should be equal to maybe 100 chips or something, like 1 chips is equal to 1 cent, but I think it's going to create a lot of problems, like then the tables will also have to be different for each chip type, etc.

Chips must have the same value for each player, so it's not possible for one player to have it pegged to Bitcoin, while another has it pegged to a stable coin.
The only way I can think of that would allow players to protect themselves against price fluctuation, while SwC would remain its chips linked to BTC is to introduce a feature allowing converting unused balance into stable coins. And if you wanted to play with it or withdraw, it would have to be converted back to BTC. It's easier said than done, such feature would likely be really complicated to implement, unless SwC would use a third party to get that part sorted.

But as I said before, I don't see that as necessary. The risk of huge, sudden drops in price is not as high as it was in the past.

Already I've been late for several hours and it's over now. Unfortunately I was not active, but I am in such a situation. When you are free and ready to have fun but I am busy. I don't take notice of the changes but as long as they're free for me, I'd join them. Just a recap of what happened to me, I'm actually about to end up like in 60th place but with some few all in that I did, I was able to be up and reached the 1 at some point like this in the image but still, there are other better players than me and I've ended I think around 23rd. At least I was able to experience in #1 in few minutes.

If a platform is good, has no technical problems, has good customer service, etc., then I see no reason for why it wouldn't be profitable if it's marketed well. Your friend should have spent some money on marketing the platform, and should have worked in that area for some time at least, and I'm pretty sure the platform could do good. No business will start making you a lot of money in the initial stage, you will need to only be getting at least the expenses for the business and that's enough.

Did he also try promoting the platform outside the forum, like on the internet in general through Google Ads or Meta, etc? If he didn't, then that was probably the reason why his platform lacked the attention it should have gotten, because even though this forum or any other crypto-related forum might have large audiences with crypto interests, it's still not enough for a platform to only rely on these, there has to be different channels and sources for promoting the platform, and it might require a higher budget, but the results will be better as well.

Even though I have not seen any myself, I'm pretty confident that SwC is using multiple sources for promotions, especially when tournament series and stuff like that are announced, they should be promoted to attract new players, and that should be done on multiple channels and not only a single one.

Finally, the secret behind SwC's constant success over the years is probably dedication.

Am I reading this right?? You think those numbers are good?? Dude, they are BAD. This site is running for a decade and they can't break 200 players online at the same time.
61 tables also doesn't mean they are running. Mostly it's like a couple of tables running and the rest has 1 person sitting on them waiting.

Look at right now for example. 171 online, 61 tables, but only 5 tables have more than one player, while 3 tables of those 5 are super micro stakes playing for cents and no rake.



Also of the 171 players online there are probably only 20-30 sitting on a table (mostly waiting by themselves), the rest doesn't do anything but maybe chat in the trollbox.

I think SWC could be so much bigger if they actually did it right. A signature campaign in 1 single forum doesn't change anything. They need real advertisement to actually grow.

It's extremely hard to start a new, successful poker site.
I remember being loosely involved in promoting some of such sites here, on this forum, years ago. People would come when offered free tournament tickets with guaranteed prizes but retaining them and turning them into regular users was a completely different story. It's hard to offer players something new that they don't already have in other, more established platforms.
SwC is different. It's the first proper bitcoin poker platform, with a long (and interesting) history, so they offered something new and built their reputation on that.

To be honest, I also don't play other poker variations other than Hold'em, and that's mostly because I have never played them much. Not only in tournaments, but also on cash tables, I sometimes try a different variant, and I don't know what's happening because I don't have much experience with them. I have tried joining them, though, only to practice and understand, but I like Hold'em the most, so I always try to only join tables or tournaments that have this variant so that I can enjoy the experience instead of focusing on understanding the game itself.

As guilty as I should be, I think we should learn all the variants regardless of the fact that we enjoy only one variant, because it could be possible that we sometime participate in a tournament or something, and we have to play other variants too because sometimes, tournaments will have the feature where the variant gets changed after every few games, so you have to know each game if you want to stay in the game.

Yeah, that's another thing. The duration of the tournaments need to be taken care of by the participant. If he's willing to stay for that long then that's up to you. But you can always make a way to just enjoy the games even if it's going to take that long. You're free to sit out if you want to and that's how you're looking to save your time. Tournaments are very time consuming, at the moment it is not suitable for me because I am too busy, only occasionally play cash, opponents are so good at bluffing even though I bet with a small nominal, my mentality is still not ready to face the players, I only play occasionally at SWCpoker not that often
