HODL can be one of the most applied strategies and may be effective but it's not how it works all the time. It needs proper planning and should take actions for its welfare. It's very important that we know what we are dealing with, we should stay updated and informed to be able to take the appropriate approach. To be honest, I never thought this way, I am always focusing on the investment potential BTC has, I am never looking at it as a simple payment method that can even be balanced with the USD. That is completely legit, to have 1btc for 1$. It is a bit misfortune because this way BTC will lose all his potential as an asset worth investing in. I am totally agree with you. Sell your bitcoin if you are contented to the current market price of cryptocurrency. Well i really appreciated, now HOLD is a best option instead of selling at cheap price and i am sure prices will rise but it will take time.

Yeah, the benefit of bitcoin is not confined only with money-making through trading. You can hodl it for future use, since it is heading to be the main payment method. Once it goes mainstream, it'll be beneficial to conduct commerce, which it is largely capable of now undoubtedly. So what are they afraid of about hodling BTC? No matter what its current price is now, there's no loss in hodling BTC. We'll all know someday when we get there.

well that would be a very good thing when you hold bitcoin only to use it in accordance with its benefits. when you use that, you might not even feel that holding back in a few years is quite easy. maybe this also applies to altcoins.

I will NEVER return my money into a bank. I have no any intention to ask 3 to 5 days before a large cash-out, to pay taxes when I do receive MY money into "my" bank account, to pay taxes to STORE MY money in "my" bank account, to pay taxes to use their terrible internet banking to operate with MY money, to pay additional taxes for various transactions, to pay ridiculous fees for every paypal transaction and/or withdrawal, to wait a week for approval on a large transactions..

I have no any intention to get surprised one day with a bank account locked without notice; with transaction blocked by some reason, with funds frozen because some someone decided the origin is "unclear"..
