As ICOs are international it is hard to regulate, unless done by the united nations but I don't see that happening. Each nation could regulate their own ICOs but there will always be one place where you can do it from e.g. Panama

Considering the high level of scam associated with ICOs presently, many investors are at risk of loosing their investments. Bounty hunters like us are not spared as we may be rendering free services to some scammers and also risking our personal data.

I suppose a regulatory body be set up to audit the ICO process and the  founders, and if anything goes wrong or should the project fail, they will be liable. This will reduce drastically investors risk and also keep scammers away. What do you think?

That should be regulated to capture those scammed ico's running or planned to run their ico' s to cheat people . Im a bounty hunter and I dont want my work for free benefited with these scammer. Hope these forum make some remedy to manipulate these cheaters.

Absolutely not, regulation is harmful and does not affect scam. Scammers will find a way to bypass the regulation and we will just get extra difficulties.
We dont need no regulation.

Without any regulation whatsoever this is going to end badly. You do need some regulation. Sure scammers will keep scamming, but that will be the case forever.

I also think that ICO needs regulation. Maybe this regulations will not help in fundraising, but they will certainly help to punish scammers.
The only regulation that's needed by ico is a verification to prove if that was a real team that creating the ico. As you can see the scammers have become the main problem in the ico dude. So many people are still talking about this till this time.

Of course, in my opinion, I have to have a rule and also supervision for dev people who want to make ico because there are a lot of ico currently doing manipulations and also going away when ico is finished. so trust decreases

In my opinion, the ICO needs to be regulated by a regulatory body so that it can audit good ICO and fraud. thus investors do not lose their investment. and the regulatory body can block ico scammers.

Obviously. The way the number of crypto currency is increasing it must be regulated by authority or else all the price of coins will be around 0$

Yes I think that icos should need some regulations. Not banned or something we need some good kind of regulations. For last few months we see many icos which scammed people . either they collected money and dissapared or successful during ico phase then failed at the development stage. Some of them just don't go with the roadmap or dump token from company site. So if there we got some regulations maybe the ratio of project would be less. But we will be able to get more good project.

There is already some platform that do just that for example kickico they are ofcourse verifying the team and documents therefore lowering the risk of scam ICO but unfortunately people seem not that interested to use that platform, really confusing while at the same time they demand it.

Not only the ICOs, but the whole market needs regulation now. With a high degree of probability we will come to this in a few years, but the question of what form it will all be at the end.

in the words you are talking about wishing at the end, then I think it is only a hope that regulations will be held because I think before there is regulation you have to have an analysis that will occur after that so I think regulation must be mature not just hope

Yep ICO s need it and all we need it ,because every time scammers come and leave with investors money so we need regulations investors must understand who are team members and everything about the project.

Am on the opinion that ICO should undergo some level of scrutiny and regulation to seive the scam projects and make the cryptocurrency space safer for investors. Unscrupulous individuals are taking advantage of the deregulation in the industry to exploit the investing public and regulatory bodies needs to bring them to book.

I also hope that in the future there will be people who are fully responsible for the construction of the ICO project so that the fraudsters are defeated and the hunters are not harmed anymore because they receive feedback from their hard work. Given how raw the ICO is fraud and investors who continue to complain the ICO supervisory body must be formed as soon as possible because otherwise fraud will not stop and hurt each other.

I believe that everything needs some form of regulation to prevent exploits. I know that some won't like this answer but reality is that people are getting scammed off of some investment schemes revolving around crypto.

Certainly. The astronomical volatilities of cryptocurrency caused by incessant launch of ICOs is distasteful and that has made the crypto sphere loose alot of enthusiast especially newbies in 2018. ICOs should be fully regulated in my opinion

I strongly agree with that, with the team auditing each ICO that will enter, it will minimize circulation of scam ICO, especially if there are laws that cover ICO, then the solution to all this will be found by requiring each team and everyone those who are related to ICO to provide their personal data in full, so I am sure they will not dare to do a scam because there are law enforcers who will hunt them down

Looking at the current situation, I think ico's should be regulated.
This will introduce strict rules on what will be the cost toons that ico can be initiated.
There are many factors which are important to decide the faith of the ico which includes development of the project, area, exchanges listing and other technical details.
With regulations, there will be transparency and people can easily invest in genuine project.

ICO is in dire need of such measures, of course it will not help to completely get rid of scams, but it will give a second chance to all the sphere, return the trust of investors and their money

but even though like that I am sure there will still be fraudsters because it is impossible for all ICOs to be successful so they can just use that reason in cheating.

in my opinion ICO really needs to be regulated, so that someone is responsible. the problem now is that many of the many people sometimes misuse ICO as they like, like doing a fraud, and sometimes there are also hackers, and it all makes a lot of people nervous
