Invest in the ico is not bad but due to many scam ico, people are not trusting on the ico and USA SEC is also ready to regulate the ico first after that ico can launch in the crypto market. ICO is less profitable because no body can tell that a particular ico will be give the highest reward for investment in future.

I will recommend you consider investing in project that are already had a succesfull ICO and are on coinmarket, research and checkout there roadmap, better if they have a product they have launch into the space, you can be sure if the bull run commence good project will increase drastically, to invest in new ICO ensure a well detailed research, as there are several scam in the crypto space.

I do not think there is any reason not to invest whenever you have found a high quality project, i mean even if the market situation is not good if you invest in a good project that will definitely give you returns sooner or later, so go for it.
Yes, it is good time to buy or invest on ICO, the price value are affordable. We can choose good coin with clear market structure, good fundamentals, with support system inplace, but one should always remember the risk factor involved in investment. I suggest invest only what you can afford, money which is not committed. Good luck guys. There are a number of factors that make ICO projects including quality projects difficult to find investors. They lowered the hardcap, then did not dare to list on the floor for fear of the bear market. So it makes the situation worse. There seems to be a new wave of ICOs coming up again. The crypto market also appears to be getting ready for a bull run.
I am wondering if buying some decent ICOs will be wise at this point.
Will be glad if those who are knowledgeable of past market cycles can advice me on this.
I appreciate all reasoned contributions

It seems to me that there are two reasons for the real recovery of interest in the market of ico companies. First of all, you need to be an enthusiast and really want to support new projects. I haven't seen any news or sign about the upcoming bull run! ICO projects will be coming always, the tough condition of the market doesn't fact here! Because most of them come to scam people's hard money! Personally, I don't think it is a good decision to invest full money in ICOs right now! You may invest your 25% of the money in only good ICOs which have good potential!

I have seen many projects that are very sound technically and there seems to be some positive excitement about ICO promotion. What I am not sure of however is the willingness of investors to start investing in ICO market again!

In January 2019 I think if you want to invest in ICO, of course, it's a good step. However, in searching for ICO projects, it is better to do research and find ICO who have experienced teams and developers. And they have a very real vision and mission.

i think you should consider only very good ICO if you want to invest at current market situation, we all know this price will not return you as big as your expectation, but i still believe that we have very good ICO who offer excellent project provided by responsible developer team and bounty manager. no one can exactly predict where the price will goes until we have game changer ICO which can attract many investors to join. the most important thing is to be patient for your ICO investment do not hope for instant big benefit at this moment.

Just try to bring another example of the fraudulent project and that's called as ethereum nowa which claim to be apart of ethereum hardfork but it has created by scammer by stole others identity and put it to the nowa site. |

Buy from an exchange after they've fallen 90%.. there are lot of interesting projects sold at bargain prices. Not saying they can't go down more though but this game is not without it's risks.

Nice topic, but honestly I don't think the market have recovered. As for ICO's, I don't think now is the right time. You can channel your freetime to performing research on promising projects which are still standing in this bad market. Ledu for example.

90% reduction is really too much, maybe we should think again when buying it because if the price falls too much compared to the ICO price, the project is not good enough and may be scam in the future. |

I don't advise to go through with ICOs for this year but I think there will be another way of investing through STOs. I'm still not sure on how it will be implemented, I'm waiting for the announcement on news on the following days.

The key point for me is always the question: will this ICO hit hardcap? If it doesn't then there is more supply than demand, and prices will fall once it hits the exchanges. |

Should not. How do you judge the new wave of ICO? I don't think the cryptocurrency market will be excellent in 2019. And ICO still has a lot of scams. Investing in ICO is worthless. Maybe you should wait patiently for two years.
