And how can you say that it will continue to drop to $2500? do you have any reason that might affect the price to go down on that price range? most people who start a topic like OP or comment on the price, are not sharing their speculation about what price can be. they are instead sharing their wishes about what they want price to be. and that is the clear case of this topic. Well i think the worst thing is really depend on us or maybe on our own decision on the feild of crypto. The only worst thing occur when we are going to lose our self control and on our emotions. I believe that we can earn a huge amount of profit if only we have a great patience because from the beginning of crypto we can all see that it is unstable and mostly it will always rise after the dip. in my experience whenever you wait around for bitcoin price to come down you are either going to be disappointed and miss the chance to buy at the price that it used to be because now there has been a rise.
or the price can fall and because of your mentality you will end up waiting for more drop (cheaper coins) and then you end up missing out.

I agree with everything written and to be honest, I noticed that this apocalyptic topics are growing all the time. We are in 'the worst' and as we speak, we are pulling ourselves out of it right now. The price will continue to oscillate a bit in the weeks to come, but I don't think that it will go below 2.5k, that's what a lot of experts are saying these days. We should always remember that bitcoin like other currencies (say fiat) has its bad times too.
The difference between bitcoin and fiat currency is that unlike bitcoin when a country's fiat is down in value...the country could put up several deliberate economic policies to instigate a rise in value.

For bitcoin and other cryptos....we have to wait for demand forces, the big wig bitcoin traders (whose identity are unknown) among others to scale up the value of bitcoin through their activities.

The honest question is this, will bitcoin further fall?
I think non can give an accurate answer to this question, in the first place no one would have believed that the coin could fall to even $4000 from an all high of about $19,000. As such we can only hope for the best.

Buy and hold is the best way to do rather than just doing nothing and see prices going down. I know not all the time that there is plummet so good for those who are wise and has patience for they will soon be having paid for their good decissions. Perhaps the OP has already sold his crypto currencies and wishes to buy cheap promising coins again. I believe the worst times stay behind. The BTC local bottom is $3150 and this is its current strong support level. I agree with you that the market is unsteady and the Bitcoin price can quickly surge or decline at any time, so traders should keep abreast and be willing to buy or sell coins in order to make profits on such volatile crypto exchange markets.

I don't think that we are currently are having situation that would need preparation for the worst case scenario. Still every good investor and trader has a back up plan and escape strategy for rainy days. But I don't expect some deep dump and bigger problem on the market so I don't think this will be necessary.

Thats true. Incase something went wrong we must have a back up plan to count on if the situation is getting worse. However it doesnt mean the market will stays in deep forever, lets keep in mind especially to newbies that its high volatile therefore everything can change without specific timeframe.

Well if you have been in crypto for few years already this statement is not different to other news circulating on how bad the status of crypto market for not increasing after the last ATH. Its better to have your own analysis to make a decision on whether to stay or believe those who always state their worries due to the downtrend.

Let's all be prepared ,the way I'm seeing things I think bitcoin hasn't find its bottom yet ,I'm guessing around 2500$ before we see better recovery ,always remember cryptocurrency is never for the weak ,be prepared and do what you do best ,things will surely turn around but good things never comes easily .

I like how this post was timed, when people get realistic in recognising the bottom is not where you want it to be exactly then the ironic effect is for the market to be more likely to put in a base to rise from.
When we're optimistic and out of touch or just hoping, the market is more likely to continue slipping as the hopes of people is a weak grip rather then the determination to hold despite a lower price being possible.

That would bring another panic in the market, and I think it will be hard to recover if we will fail at that price again.

When the price was cheaper, the risk-takers have gained. I can not lie about the lack of risk, but the investment will be acceptable as much as you can risk. My only suggestion is to try to evaluate opportunities.

Many posters at first had been seriously thinking that Bitcoin couldn't crash below 6k as that was considered the ultimate lower limit determined by the profitability of mining. I don't know if the real mining costs (averaged) were close to that figure but we crashed almost two times below 6k without taking into account this consideration (and then Bitcoin miners started to sell out their mining rigs for the lack of profits)

In this way, any price is speculative or even random (think a random walk here). It is not determined by real use and adoption which would prevent sudden dumps, and as such there is nothing that could potentially arrest "the worst case scenario" if it is set to happen

It doesn't matter for long term holders. And this should be the attitude of most long term holders and I think everyone is learning to not depend with such news, FUD or anything that can change our way of making decision.

Those that has made it very big has the same mind you have and the wise investor said "buying when others are fearful and sell when they are greed is the best investment process" if you can keep holding no matter what happened to the market there is no way you will not make it because the good bitcoin price is still yet to come.

But you should keep in mind that blindly buying something in the down market is no guarantee of success. On the contrary, it is in fact a recipe for disaster. What Warren Buffett meant is that valuable assets in such a market are heavily oversold and undervalued, so you can buy them really cheap, that's true indeed, but valuable asset is not equal any asset. Thus, you should first find such an asset and distinguish it from other assets, i.e. do what every wise investor does all the time
