Ohhhh. At long last the betting thread is back with some fresh betting options. Not sure I’m ready myself to start placing bets, but I am happy to see that one of my favorite forms of entertainment is right around the corner. It won’t be too much longer now before I’ll be at a bar with a beer and a burger cheering on my favorite sport.

There's no rush to bet early on the regular season since it’s still about a month away. But for the preseason, we can start placing bets as it kicks off on October 5 with just two games: Nuggets vs Celtics (which could be a potential NBA Finals preview) and Lakers vs Wolves (LeBron vs the "Son of MJ").

I am eyeing two teams in the outrights. Minnesota Timberwolves is one of my choices and Dallas Mavericks.

Great odds for both teams, and at +1100, that’s solid! Good pick, mate. These two teams are definitely on the rise, especially Dallas now with Thompson. As for the Wolves, their playoff experience is huge, and they can build on that to elevate their game next season. If there’s a "to win the West" bet available, even at +600, that’s worth considering too, I'll definitely take it. 

If you can place a spare amount as early as now then treat as it's already gone then it will surprise you if ever both teams performs again this season, we can't conclude but the winning chance of both squads are decent, Dallas and Wolves both are great teams in the west just place your bet and let it go, enjoy every game you watch and surely you'll be betting along the way with each games they've played and all the rest of the games that you feel the desire of throwing spares for entertainment.

Yeah, I do not think that we should rush right now, although some of us are eager to bet because we might have missed the NBA so much. But we will just have to wait for a couple of weeks and then we can go and start again. As per my experience, it's better to bet though early, as some of the 'favorites', could have a early advantage and so they can cover the handicap very easy.

So we shall see, as everyone might be focusing on the US election betting, October 23, we have two games already, defending champion Boston is the favorite against the Knicks, and then Lakers vs the Wolves. The latter though might be a interesting and great matchup. The Wolves are the slight favorite here.

In two days the preseason is starting.
The Denver Nuggets will be playing against the Boston Celtics.
Then, the LA Lakers versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.

That was posted in February but I just recently saw the new logo after checking the preseason schedule. I was surprised with the new color and the new image. Just shared it here in case someone was surprised about what team is that new logo. 
Also, they will be playing at their new Dome, the Intuit Dome, and I guess that will now completely separate them from the LA Lakers.

Yup! for sure it is too early for us to make a bets and we are just knowing the new teams and what they can do, but we can make a bet for sure, and the Nuggets VS Celtics game was won by the champion but for sure the Nuggets is just hiding something this is the preseason and we can not take this games into consideration as this is a preseason and teams are not focus in the preseason.

Right now the New Orleans Pelicans VS Orlando Magic game had started and it is the 2nd quarter right now it was a close match and right now the score are 35 for the Pelicans and 36 for the Magic.

God damn they are hot using their bench.
Kuminga is hot, Podziemski is hot, Moody is hot. and so they made the Lakers suffer. I am not a fan of the Warriors anymore but this shows how deep their bench is.
No Steph, no Draymond, no more Klay but it all work out fine for them in the preseason. But like what I have said on the other threads, I don't count preseason as the actual talent showing of the NBA players. We will still have to wait on what they will show during the start of the season to tell if they are good enough for their team. Yeah, just like Knecht who connect.

They’re perfect in the preseason so far, and that’s a great sign that this team will perform well in the upcoming regular season. Buddy Hield will be a huge factor in their success. If he keeps playing with the same consistency, it’s not far-fetched to think the Warriors could make it back to the NBA Finals. The thing is, the Warriors are built as a team of shooters, no matter who they put on the floor, they can all contribute. So, seeing them dominate their opponents isn’t surprising at all.

Maybe we can see some minutes from Bronny James if there is garbage time in the 4th quarter. Weeks ago I played a little bet on his season stats. I made a bet that he will make +82.5 points for the season. Also I just need over 5.5 3s from him for the season to win a bet. That doesn't seem too far fetched doesn't it?

Oh man, we are so back… I need to take a look at the tv schedule and see if I can watch any of the games. Not sure I’d want to bet against the Timberwolves but a fresh Lakers squad is pretty dangerous and Minnesota has some major roster moves to contend with. I’m so happy that NBA basketball is back.

I am genuinely excited about the start of the new season. There are so many storylines to follow...curious to see if Luka, SGA, or Ant can take the MVP off the big boys.  We haven't had a guard win the MVP in like forever...what was it Harden in 2017-18?

This is also the farewell tour for TNT's Inside the NBA, those guys provided one the best coverage of any sport with their show...they will be missed.


I couldn't catch many of the preseason games, but it would be a shame not to have any bets on opening day, so yeah...

Brunson & KAT looked great in the only Knicks preseason game i watched, that PnR action between the two looked unstoppable. I like Towns dominating the boards over Horford though.

I don't see anyone on the Lakers roster that can match up well against Ant, so yeah i expect him to have a strong game.

JJ Redick has repeatedly stated that he wants the Lakers to run their offense through AD. I expect him to lead the team in FG attempts throughout the season, that's of course, assuming he stays healthy.

I wanted to put something on DiVincenzo, but his new role off the bench for the T'wolves is a wait-and-see for now.

I'm all over the Wolves tonight.  Everyone overbets the Lakers, yankees and cowboys in the beginning of the year.  Deep value going against them early on.

Bronny hitting one 3 pointer this year woukd shock me to be honest.  That under is gonna bang.  Also taking the under on his points.  I had it in the mid 70s though.  He is going to collect a lot of minutes in the g league.

Yeah, I think it's very easy to bet on the Wolves right now, I'm taking -1.5 at 1.97. Wolves still looks solid despite looking KAT to the Knicks, but they got Donte and Randle which is going to be a big help for them.

Plus, ANT could be a year better and smarter. His stint in the Olympics, playing along side Curry, Lebron and KD is enough for this kid to bring his game on the next level as he had seen this legends first hand on their discipline and of course their clutch plays and so it will be a big confident booster for him this season.

Well well, good thing I chose not to put my hope onto the Wolfes. I am actually surprised how bad they looked. Edwards with a terrible off night despite 27 points. But shooting 10/25 with 5 turnovers is not what you are looking for from your go 2 guy. Also he didn't get ANY help today with the next best scorer having only 16 points.
Off to the next one for them, can only get better from here. Lakers starting solid is not what I expected and they managed to get this one even though they also kind of had an off night, shooting wise. How you can beat the Wolfes despite shooting 5/30 from 3 looks crazy actually but Davis made the difference today.
Oh and Bronny, well he and his dad have to wait for the first points and the father's assist I guess. 

My Bronny season bet didn't start well with 0 points but actually I didn't expect any playing time today and he got 3 min, so I will go from here as well.

That's a good start for the Lakers, especially since losing a home opener would've been pretty embarrassing. The Wolves don’t seem like the same team with KAT, or maybe it’s just me. It’s only the first game, and they still have time to adjust. I forgot to bet on that game, but tomorrow I'll make sure to drop my prediction here.

Also, the Celtics made 29 three-pointers in that game. Does that tie the Milwaukee Bucks for the most three-pointers made in a single game in NBA history?

As for those who bet on the Wolves to bet the Lakers, totally different outcome as the Lakers comes strong in the first quarter and hold on that lead for good.

Detroit will host the Pacers, we all know how bad Detroit was from last season, and the Pacers had one of their best, so with that, I might go with the Pacers at -3.5 at 1.82 odds.

From what we’ve seen in the first two games, the winning team usually wins by a big margin, so I think they can cover the spread. The Pacers are strong and score a lot, so if they dominate, a double-digit win seems pretty likely. Good luck, I’m tailing too but with a higher spread.

If Pacers will push the win I agree that it can be a double digit lead seems that bookies favoring a bit the homecourt advantage of Detroit but comparing how these two team played the game  Pacers is more superior than Detriot not unless there's something that bookies are seeing to give this kind of a close margins, no spare for now but I like the handicap for Pacers. I haven’t dipped my toe in the gambling pool yet for this NBA season, but I somewhat regret not betting on the Celtics yesterday. I may also regret not betting on the Suns today but I likely won’t have the opportunity to do so. I will however be watching and hoping this may be the year the Suns get it together and make a run for the Finals. If not this year, I think their opportunity slipped away with DeAndre Ayton.

You may have missed that betting on Celtics yesterday, they'll be playing against the Washington Wizards next.

I guess that's a good match for them to win again if you want to bet on them. But it's still the opening season and most of these games aren't that important to them.
