There are still companies that conduct ICOs and many investors invest in these companies, but most of these companies cannot reach softcap or simply turn out to be a scam. Now is the time when cryptocurrency is experiencing bad times and there are many more scammers who want to steal money from investors.

I do not think the ico will ever fall out until the crypto marketat increases because of the good it shows that many are fascinated to release a new ICO project. But if the market falls further then the ico loses due to the lack of appetite of investors to invest in it.
well when some ICOs become scams or fail, it does not reflect that the whole ICO has become a scam and is not good. as far as I can see, there are still so many ICOs that are worth supporting and fighting for. I myself have supported a project that is quite good and continues to grow this year.

Not ICOs are not really dead. But its numbers are declining as compared to the past. Due to regulatory measures, ICOs are declining in number.
I am pretty much sure that unlike in the past, the market is becoming stable and more competitive. So only the projects with much to deliver can sustain.
More of the existing coins will disappear by the year of 2025.

After participating in several ICO project, which turned out to be scam projects. My hard earned money disappeared in to thin air, with no way to trace or recover my money back. I had to act like it never happened to get it off my mind and move on.

Are ICOs really dead and do you still invest in ICO projects?

As for this very moment, ICO investments are hard to distinguish whether they are legit or not. However, lossing your money doesn't mean ICO is dead, it's just that you need to study more about the projects you are about to invest and dig deep on what could be the possible future of that project. In that way, you might be able to invest in a promising projects.

There are already more reliable methods of investing in new projects, ICO is already associated with fraud for all people, and IEO, for example, is gaining momentum and attracting many investors, because it is created so that it gives people confidence that the project will not die as another dummy

but if later all new projects use the IEO, it will be the same as ICO in the end. so it's only a matter of time, until that happens. I think IEO and ICO are the same.

Yes, Most of the legitimate projects are being privately funded. Its better to stay-away from ICO, I participated in a ICO and it turns out that its being managed by greedy corporate crooks.
Not all because there are good ICO also that are working now and made some public investors gain. I have known a good project like the CHT to which even in the bear market it still grow up to this present. The process is very simple. They have a group of professional traders work for them and made the work using the public funds doing trading. Now the value of the coin continue to grow with the team professionally manage the project.

The wave of fraudsters who, having passed through recently, has crossed all expectations about ICO into people. And in fact there are a large number of projects that are worthy of your attention.

The ICO will not die completely in the near future, but lately the ICO has got a fairly strong competitor in the form of an IEO from large exchanges.
The only reason why ICO will continue to exist is that the exchanges are trying to choose projects with a small Hard Cap for an IEO, so that it is easy to pump these projects and create profits for themselves and investors.
This competition makes investors no longer interested in ICO projects and this is the reason why all ICO projects die in the future. Most people are eager to earn the fastest and liquidity possible at any time and the IEO is offering investors all that so the IEO is being considered the current trend and If you can buy, you will become very rich

It cannot be denied that ICO is slowly shifting to IEO, and most of the project in IEO now are successful especially those who are using a Binance platform.
This is actually good for the community and slowly some other exchanges are also joining the party, like Bittrex for instance.
Some said binance has manipulated its IEO but it looks good to see the trend will be back again. There was a lot of good icos are still using independent ico but that's not a big problem because bitcoin gives a signal about the next bull trend will happen.

ICOs are the ones that suffer the most from the current situation. Because the problem of trust and money losing caused everyone to stay away. They are still trying to continue with the other types of ICO.

My opinion is that when I invest in ICO, there are also many benefits in 2017, but I think this year, we must be careful to invest in the ICO, because not all ICO projects can benefit.

indeed, in 2017 the ICO was very promising results and this year was the best year for crypto currencies and ICO programs as well so that there were already many people who made huge profits or results. so for this year choosing ICO for investment is better to be careful because most of the ICO now is not producing waste

Now is definitely not the best time for the ico , but I think it's better to skip them now , and wait for the return of the bullish trend then I think the ico will return!

Could you tell me which projects are success once listed on market? I have seen this for long time yet still there is no ICO that could exceed the performance of market in 2018.

so for this year choosing ICO for investment is better to be careful because most of the ICO now is not producing waste
I certainly doubt about this one.

With this market, eventually supposedly good ICO's cannot survive that's why they exit and will turned to scam. Those projects are the ones who have no experience on how to survive on this bearish market.

Probably that is true that those ICOs they will not continue their sales because of the situation of bad condition of the market but i do not think so they turn into scam maybe they will launching again when the market is stable.

Some ICO just don't get enough funds now a days, the project you have supported didn't get it too. If they are not fraud they should be able to refund investors but if I'm to assume were not refunded to which you can say you are robbed. Its not surprising in this crypto winter season. There ain't nothing you can do but about it anymore but post a warning to all.

I agree on this statement, ICO nowadays serves as a milking cow for fraud projects, if not they should refund its investors, but ive known a lot of good projects during ICO phase, but it ended being gone, its really hard which project is good, some are just being created to scam people.
