I call it lackluster, I don't feel iota of hype watching it, doesn't represent all teams or prominent players either. The players represented are Pant, Iyer, Rahul and Pandya, players who are currently injured, looks like they went to NCA to shoot the promo.

Lmao. Silly ad. It's really good to see Pant back in action which is truly a miracle considering the accident he faced. Rahul's acting was robotic as usual while Iyer looked weird when he lost it.

Pandya looked hilarious thanks to his suit and hairstyle. The T20 World Cup advertisement was a lot better in comparison.

Between the IPL 2024 ad and the T20 World Cup advertisement, there is no comparison. The T20 World Cup advertisement is far better. And I feel like they have not realized that acting is not the strong point of players. So you should look to make an advertisement like the T20 World Cup advertisement. If you actually want to make a decent advertisement, get actual actors. Otherwise, the players are always going to act like they did for the IPL. Not going to lie those players really looked stupid.

It's definitely not about acting, players involved can act, they have been part of various promos and ads before — if you watch Indian media you'd know. I just don't feel there is any substance here or what creators are implying with it, this promo feels like something that's done in hurry.

I agree with you Multan Sultan is doing really well in the league. Usman Khan scored a lot of runs in the match against Karachi but he didn't quite make it to a century in the last match. Karachi bowling isn't as good since Amir left and Pollard not playing in the middle is hurting their team. Multan Sultan is a strong team and they are winning a lot. Karachi and Lahore need to play better if they want to do well in the tournament.

I disagree partially. Almost all cricketers can't act. They seem like robots who just read out lines in order to get paid asap. Very few actors like Kohli etc can actually act decently and don't look like bots.

So Pat Cummins has been appointed as new captain for SRH this IPL season, dunno if Cummins is a good T20 player but definitely a better choice than Markram from the looks of it (Yea, I know he won in SA20 but I feel it was due to playing at home and with familiar faces), also SRH has paid huge to have Cummins, must utilize to full extent, hope Cummins will also be passionate to take SRH to heights, or at least help them do better than last couple seasons.

Cummins is good but not superior in the T-20 format and if he fails to deliver with the ball then I strongly believe that he won't fit in 4 foreign players spot in the playing XI.
