Let's be honest, Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik, and Lomror are the reasons why RCB was able to win this match. Otherwise, there was no chance for them to actually win this one. Every other batter either was on single digit score or wasted a lot of balls. If Dinesh Karthik and Lomror did not have that partnership towards the end, it was almost impossible for RCB to win. I thought Kings did good enough with batting. But the bowlers let them down.

In my calculation, it's close to zero chance unless Kohli or SKY gets injured and one of them is ruled out from the upcoming t-20 WC, even after this IPL will surely throw more exciting prospects for one down or second down.

You have to remember that even the likes of Rinku Singh might find difficulties getting into Playing XI or in some scenarios even in the squad and as far as T-20 goes Gill is way down in the pecking order.

Rinku should not be left out of WC playing XI no mstter what because we know what he is capable of and he is something special and he is going to finish the matches for team India in the future.

That's good squad you have made, as long as Pandya and Jadeja are included that's enough for all rounder slots imo, so bowling all rounder's slot can be given to Rinku, of course in match he will come prior to Pandya and Jadeja.

Regarding wk slot, I also think it's KL who is going to get the wk slot, on alternative candidates you mentioned I personally think they have 0 chance.

Chennai Super Kings have been very similar to Real Madrid in terms of signing players this season of the IPL. CSK has bought the best players for relatively less money this season and the best players have been contributing brilliantly to the team's win in every match. Just like Real Madrid don't spend much money in transfer window on the contrary they buy good quality players similarly CSK didn't spend much money in IPL auction but CSK managed to buy the right player for the team. CSK have won the IPL title five times so far, but it will not surprise the fans if they complete their sixth title this time.  

CSK has performed really well in the first two matches, but the first two matches they have played at their home ground, whether they can maintain this consistency in the away field is a big issue.

I feel like the catch drop of Ruturaj in very first over by Sai Kishore kind of demotivated the team, Ruturaj getting out early would have changed things drastically and Chennai would have likely mustered up much less score than what they actually did.

Regarding pitches being batsman friendly, iirc Rachin in post inning interview said it's a good track to bat on. GT got demolished because there is huge psychological barrier when you are chasing 200+ score and then to add salt to the wound Gill also departed early. Aside from Gill, Miller also looked out of form, he was trying to hit but there was no timing.

On Umesh Yadav, I personally do not find him a good player, honestly someone else should take his spot.
