Nobody is saying that PCB must not test new talent from PSL but the way new players are tested is not a wise move. If you see team of first 2 t20Is then majority are making debut or coming back to national team after a long break. Lets not forget that Pakistan is team that is playing more T20 then Test and ODIs. Already Pakistan has lost home series against NZ, Aus and England, and now this series is also lost. If you history of Pak vs Afghanistan then all matches are very narrow win for Pakistan. Still PCB decided to send a new team against mighty Afghanistan.

Tbh that's how you build a strong bench in any format, new guys need more experience in international too and this series wasn't high profile so it make sense.

First choice players need some breaks as well, as most of them just took part in PSL so the board needs to take care of the player's workload.

Best review about this series from your side because I was reading many posts mostly were feeling not happy with this result even for me this was good from youngsters those are looking for the better future in this game because after PSL big players need rest and Afghanistan was also not good side, so they take this chance for better things which are need of the time as well.

Few players have good future because their performance was better than expectations and few needs to check their own technique if they want to have better things in near future we always need to be positive but still good win for the Afghanistan and well played by all Pakistanis in this useless series.

Afghanistan over the time has emerged as one of arch rivals of Pakistan in cricket along with India. You can see the intensity of heat whenever Afghanistan play with Pakistan. That's why people is Pakistan are upset because of this decision that resulted in loss of series.
You know the biggest beneficiary of this series loss? Muhammad Rizwan. He was criticized for his slow Strike rate in T20I and now he is all set to make a come back for at least a year. Pakistan team is full of giving surprises and this is just another surprise.

Before this series loss, it was a genuinely one-sided rivalry from Afghanistan's side, similar to the Ind-Pak rivalry. To my knowledge, in the last decade or so Indian team (at least fans) never took the Pakistan team very seriously in WC or other ICC tournaments because the winning gap was too big (the score was 0 to 13/14 in the ICC tourney) but this mindset changed in the Champions trophy finals (2017) a bit. So I would advise that don't dwell on this series too much, move on and take this as an experiment.

It's up to selectors if they go with the Rizwan but we don't have T-20 WC this year so they have a window to improve their gameplay. Having said that IMHO Rizwan and Babar are the worst T-20 batters in the modern world so I won't defend them.

Also if he can use this transformation to smash the  bowlers around the park I guess no one will really complain, but we all should be realistic too that at his age there’s not much he can do so I wouldn’t saddle him with unnecessary expectations too.

What you stated is understandable, but the magical thing about MSD is that he is capable of doing great things even when the odds are stacked against him which is why people around the world have such high expectations.

As an MSD fan myself, I feel great to see him play just for the sake of his fans even though he is way past his prime.

It doesn't matter whether they win this series or not. What is the significance of this series? It was setup as a last minute replacement by the ACB after Australia cancelled their Afghan tour. Even if Pakistan lose this series, it is not going to impact them in a big way. Matches against teams such as New Zealand and England are far more important. Anyway, we don't even know whether Afghanistan will have the full member status in the long run. That is one of the topics to be discussed during the next general meeting of the ICC.

Afghanistan is better side then many full member teams and rightly deserve a place as full member. The only hurdle is strict Afghan government rule of no women cricket team. So Afghanistan will have same status until they introduce women cricket team which is very much unlikely. Rashid Khan desire that they want Pakistan team to come and play in Kabul. The security situation in Afghanistan is getting better and may be we can have international cricket in Kabul in coming years.

Afghanistan won two of the three matches Afghanistan played against Pakistan.  And Pakistan won one.  Although Pakistan is a good team then Afghanistan.  Pakistan have played very poorly in T20 this year and Afghanistan took advantage of this opportunity to defeat Pakistan in two matches. Afghanistan are improving themselves a bit in the game. and Playing very well.

South Africa vs West Indies
Today is West Indies third T20 match against South Africa.  Both teams have won one match each in the last two matches and today West Indies batted first and they played brilliantly at the start and scored 90 runs in just 8 overs which is a great performance by them. The way West Indies are running looks like they can target South Africa above 200 runs so today's match will be challenging for South Africa.

In the second match, the West Indies team made a huge collection of 258. Even then they were defeated. The West Indies team will probably collect more than 200 in today's match. However, there is no guarantee that they will win. Because the bowling line-up of West Indies is very weak. At the end of 9.3 overs, West Indies managed to collect 107 runs. They scored 11 runs per over. But they lost four wickets. Nicholas Pooran remains unbeaten with 41 off 18 balls. If the batsmen cannot survive at the crease then the West Indies team will not be able to collect 200 runs.

That's why I was saying that the biggest beneficiary of this series loss is Muhammad Rizwan. As now everyone saying Pakistan can't win without Rizwan and Babar. In T20I Rizwan performance was awful as he take too much time to score runs and that put pressure on middle order like Iftikhar, Asif and Khushdil. Pakistan performance in recent series was really unpredictable as Pakistani players are much more capable as they seem to be in matches against Afghanistan.

After watching their game, I predicted that they will target more than 200 runs.  And they set a target of 220 which was very challenging for South Africa even though South Africa also played very well and managed to reach 213 runs each. pooran & shepherd played Brilliantly. And both of them scored an average of two runs per ball.  These two deserve the most credit for winning the West Indies.

The Good innings from Pooran and Romario Shepherd helped them set such a big target. 220 against South Africa is naturally a big score. South Africa had to lose to reach that goal from close wining situation. After all the game was full of great excitement. They managed to win the series by winning the last match of the T20 series.
