A few days ago Rangpur Riders team was at the bottom of the points table. But now this team is second in the points table. Rangpur Riders are just two points behind Sylhet at the top of the table. Rangpur has won all their last 6 matches. The interesting thing is that Rangpur won in the last 5 matches by batting later. This team performs very well when batting on target. If Rangpur wins the next match, they have a chance to go to the top of the table.

Comilla team have won all their last 8 matches. At the start of the season, we saw Sylhet and Barisal at the top of the table. But due to the return of Rangpur and Comilla trucks, Barisal has fallen behind. It has become difficult to predict which team is going to win this year's BPL title.

In the 40th Match, Chattogram Challengers set a target of just 132 runs against Rangpur Riders. Ziaur Rahman managed to score some runs for Chattogram Challengers but almost all the other players failed there. Most of the players had very little collection in today's match. Rangpur Riders won the match losing only 3 wickets. There are only two group stage match left in the BPL season 2023, these two matches will be held on the 10th February after that the desired matches will be seen. Eliminator, Qualifier and Final matches will hopefully be competitive as per the expectations of the spectators.

Actually, both of today's match has not been high scoring. Both of them have been very low scoring. And in the Chattogram Challengers vs Rangpur Riders match, it was obviously a very easy chase for Rangpur because they won the match very comfortably in the end with seven wickets and almost 4 overs to spare.

I have to mention one thing. We thought this is going to be good for Bangladesh to find some young talents. But almost no Bangladeshi players are actually being able to perform well in this BPL, at least not consistently. Almost all of the special innings or special performances we see are from overseas players. So I do not think this is going to be actually good for finding players for Bangladesh. This might be good for the revenue.

Well if you think people do not watch these tournaments because there are only a few teams taking part, what do you say about this tournament being played by women? People are already losing interest in men's cricket. And imagine what the situation is going to be when the skill on display is going to be almost nonexistent.

I am not saying these because I just want to hate women's cricket. I am saying these because I think it is time ICC starts realizing that Cricket is not going to survive for a long period of time if nothing changes. Whenever I see a Women cricketer bowling, I think it is "fast bowling in slow motion" lol  . And I cannot sit and watch that for hours.

I was also expecting things like good for this match and event which is going to play in South Africa but sadly due to BGT which is currently under progress in India and two big teams are involved for the supremacy of test cricket mostly Indian channels are also not doing any advertisement for this event and match which is not positive because we need good coverage about this all and also something masala about this match as well because still this is big match for the both countries women's and these are also coming from tough selections and good process which is never been easy in these regions due to many restrictions.

With good thing happen again we have four teams from the Asia and six other rest of the world even quality is still problem, but good changes are happening and surely one day we will have good results as well.

Anyone following the SA20? In a high scoring encounter yesterday, the Sunrisers Eastern Cape managed to defeat Joburg Super Kings by 14 runs. The target for JSK was set at 214, but then some accurate bowling from the 38-year old Roelof van der Merwe wrecked their chase. The final will be now played between Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape. I would say that Sunrisers would be the favorites, as their players are in great form (Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen and Roelof van der Merwe).

For the ILT20 also, the semi-final stage is ongoing now. Today there is a qualifier match between Gulf Giants and MI Emirates, and the winner will play against Desert Vipers in the final. Vipers is the first venture into cricket by Avram Glazer (the owner of Manchester United F.C.). He would be extremely happy with their performance so far. But it needs to be seen whether they can left trophy in the inaugural season.

Comilla team gave a huge target of 178. I don't think the pitch was batting-friendly. Liton Das returned to the fold with 47 off 33 balls. And Kushdil Shah scored 40 off just 20 balls. On the other hand, Rangpur Riders could not start their innings well. They lost their first wicket for 12 runs and lost 4 key top-order batsmen for just 31 runs. Without a good performance from the top order, it is almost impossible to win by batting at such a big target. And Comilla is going to win the match quite easily. The Rangpur team collected 105 runs in 15.2 overs losing 9 wickets.
