Babar Azam hit another 100-run milestone in T20 cricket.  But the beginning was not so easy for Babur Azam. Initially, Babar Azam had to struggle to deal with the New Zealand bowlers. Later, he set himself on the wicket and started an extraordinary innings. This Pakistan captain remained unbeaten by playing a devastating innings of 101 runs off 58 balls. 

But one thing that the fans at the ground really liked was their respect and love for Babar Azam. Every Pakistani fan in the gallery chanted Babar Azam several times before he scored a century. When Harpreet Brar got out, Punjab Kings still needed 7 runs from 7 balls, with just 2 wickets remaining. Fortunately for them, Kagiso Rabada survived the last ball of the 19th over and then Shahrukh Khan scored the necessary runs in the next over, which was bowled by Ravi Bishnoi. BTW, the Kings need to rethink about their top order. Prabhsimran Singh failed once again, while Atharva Taide got out for a duck. It maybe a good idea to promote Matthew Short to open the batting along with Shikhar Dhawan (if he is free from injury).

The score is 47/1 and most of the runs have been scored by V. Iyer (32 from 14). Also, 10 extra runs have been given by the Mumbai Indian teams already.

I think the opening pair needs to be changed. It would be interesting to see how Liton Das can perform if given a chance on the opening pair.

As usual DC made a mess of yesterday's match. Their batting is in shambles, niether the captain nor the team management has a clue as to what needs to be done. RCB bowlers were very effective and their fielding was spot on. I was expecting a close game as the target was not that big. I guess DC men need a word of advice from DC women team on how to play in a highly competitive tournament.

It is very sad that Delhi Capitals(DC) have already completed their five matches but they have not won a single match. Blaming the team management and team of Delhi Capitals will not help here because Delhi team is completely unbalanced. Both batting and bowling department of Delhi Capitals are off form. But one thing is very important that the domestic players of Delhi Capitals are performing very poorly compared to the foreign players. I hope that with some tactical changes in the team management along with the team players maybe Delhi Capitals will be able to compete well in the upcoming matches.

It was another splendid performance from the Pakistan team. Many of the players are fresh from the Pakistan Super League and the impact was quite visible in their performances. Yesterday the partnership between Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan added close to 100 runs on board for Pakistan, and then Iftikhar Ahmed performed some fireworks towards the end. The inexperienced Kiwi bowlers (Henry Shipley, Ben Lister, Rachin Ravindra and Cole McConchie) struggled against the Pakistani batsmen. And apart from Mark Chapman, none of the other New Zealand players contributed with the bat.

Pakistan is thoroughly enjoying this series as they are winning and performing excellently . Newzealand inexperienced team is having difficulty infront of Pakistan's batting and balling too.
No one Is playing good from their side the reason is might be all their experience players are playing IPL.

Venkatesh Iyer gave a very good start to KKR. Unfortunately some tight bowling and good fielding restricted them below 190 score. I was expecting some fire works from Rinku Singh. It seem he is just a sizzler in this season. Good capataincy by SKY! Hoping he would deliver runs through his bat too. Arjun Tendulkar is playing in today's match. I did not find him impressive with the ball. Can he be good with the bat?

Mumbai Indians in their fourth match and Kolkata Knight Riders in their fifth match against each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. 
This is the first time that Mumbai Indians and KKR are playing against each other in the 2023 season of IPL.  Today's match is very important for both teams. But so far, the result of today's match is largely in the hands of Mumbai Indians. 

Kolkata Knight Riders scored 185 runs batting first against Mumbai Indians. With a target of 186, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan collected 64 runs without a wicket in the power play when Mumbai Indians came down to bat. After a brilliant start in the power play, Mumbai Indians came very close to victory. 

Mumbai Indians have a great chance to move to the seventh position in the points table today. Mumbai Indians must win today to take that opportunity.  Hopefully it's just a matter of time for Mumbai Indians to win.

Kolkata Knight Riders had some captain mistakes. Russell bowled over number 13 and scored 17 runs. And if current spinner Suyash Sharma was placed in place of fast ball then there would not have been so many runs. Suyash Sharma lost 1 wicket in his over and gave only 1 run in the space of one over. Kolkata Knight Riders' spinners should be given more possession in the middle of the game. Mumbai Indians hit four massive sixes to win the match. It is certain that Kolkata will lose because Mumbai Indians are not under any pressure. I think fast balls should be replaced by spinners.

Kolkata Knight Riders started the season with a loss Duckworth Lewes lost by just 7 runs due to rain in the away match against Punjab Kings. Then a huge win against Royal Challengers Bangalore at home KKR's turning point was the away match against Gujarat Titans. Rupkatha's win came courtesy of Rinku Singh who hit five sixes in the last over. Kolkata Knight Riders were aiming for a hat trick of victories at the Eden on Friday. Skipper Nitish Rana has scored runs in the last two matches Russell took 3 wickets against Sunrisers bowling for the first time this season.

The only team that looks like they won't make it to the playoffs at the moment is Delhi Capitals since every other team in the table have 4-6 points and the competition between them is getting crazier.

NRR became even more important now. Am expecting GT and RR to claim two playoff spots even though it's still early days.

Coming to RR vs GT, it looks like RR will comfortably win unless they collapse like dominoes. Also, Sandeep Sharma is an underrated bowler who has been performing really well in this season.

GT and RR both are strong. In today's match Rajasthan won the toss and decided to bowl. GT collect 177. It will be difficult for any team to beat Gujarat Titans by such a big score. If the GT team can have a good bowling attack then RR will be bound to fall behind. If Rashid Khan along with Mohammed Shami can pick up some early wickets then Gujarat Titans have the possibility win the match. As the first innings has just ended, we have to wait and after 10 overs we can predict who will be the winner of the match. At present Rajasthan Royals is at the top of the points table in this tournament. That place will change shortly with a win or loss in today's match.

The Kolkata team definitely needs some changes. Even after flopping so many times from the beginning, Kolkata is entering the field again and again with the same squad.  Those who failed to perform after so many opportunities should be replaced and new ones should be given a chance. 

If David Wiese is fielded instead of Lockie Ferguson, Kolkata will have the benefit of bowling and batting. Rahmanullah Gurbaz failed to prove himself despite getting multiple opportunities. As such, Jason Roy or Liton Das should be given a chance instead.

If some changes result in a change in the performance of the team, then that change is definitely necessary for Kolkata.  There is still a chance for Kolkata Kolkata should enter the field with some changes.

I think 185 runs is not a big target in a league like IPL. If Kolkata could have collected more than 200 runs, it would have been a great fight against the opposition. However, the result of the match could have been different if Kolkata's bowlers performed exceptionally well in this short run.

Without the Indian players, I am not sure how this league will take off. From what we have seen form the recent ICC media rights auctions, 90% of the cricket revenues originate from India. If Indian players are not there, then the interest, and thereby revenue potential from India will be on the lower side. And they have very high ambitions. They want to overtake the IPL and become the "richest" cricket league in the world. In the end they may become the "richest" league, but by no means they will be able to become the most "popular" league in the world.

Yes, without India in cricket having any big league is not possible even Saudi are doing amazing huge investments in sports and trying to change view of their country specially while Crown Prince is still involved in many off the record issues which are not good for the Kingdom and I have personal view about their World Cup bidding is not going to successful because things are still not favorable for them around the world like Qatar.

Back to cricket as BCCI announces things completely down and out of their way because right now India is the biggest brand in cricket and if they want to do something it's not possible without India, and they will not do anything which bring down IPL image for me this dream is not going to be become into reality.
