And from this score, Rashid Khan took them to 191/8 after 20 overs (Alzarri Joseph at the other end scored just 7 runs, from 12 balls). Mumbai bowlers failed to keep Rashid away from strike, and got paranoid after he hit them for a few sixes. Anyway, a win is a win. Mumbai got 2 valuable points. Yes, Afghanistan spin bowling all-rounder Rashid Khan gave such a spectacular performance yesterday. Gujarat Titans fans who are out there will no doubt not regret losing this match at all as they have seen such batting from Rashid Khan. He tried his best for the victory of the team, maybe if he had some balls in hand, he would have won his team and then left the field but it did not happen. 

In his innings of 79 runs, the star hit ten spectacular sixes and hit only three boundaries, which means that this statistic shows how aggressively he batted against Mumbai Indians yesterday.

But I am most surprised that he did not get the Man of the Match trophy. If he takes four wickets in T20 cricket, he is ahead of everyone in the race for man of the match but he scored 79 runs in 32 balls along with four wickets, so why didn't he get the man of the match award?

There is no doubt bowling quality is not as par standard for few teams in this season, but I am adding one point we also have mostly pitches are batting friendly which is also creating problems for the young guns, and they are not able to perform as expectation conditions are difficult and batting quality is surely much improved which are having big impact on big chases in this season.

The target was big due to which if few balls were missed, the pressure on the team's batting increased. Gujarat Titans lost a few early wickets  and the same time they missed some balls. In this regard Rahul Tewatia scored just 14 runs off 13 balls when a lot of runs were needed at that moment. I am fully astonished that 32 balls 79 runs with 10 sixes and 3 fours...means

6×10=60+3×4=72 runs in boundaries and over boundaries...and only 7 runs single..

& 4 over 30 runs and collected 4 wickets...why not Rashid Khan but SKY... Very much astonished.

Although Mumbai Indians won the match tomorrow but Rashid Khan got the man of the match but SKY of the winning team was declared the man of the match. One of the main reasons for giving Suraya Kumar Yadav the Man of the Match here is that he was the only batsman to get the team to a targeting score of 218 with a century. Here Mumbai Indians won by 218 runs and Surya Kumar Yadav contributed the most behind this big collection. Although Rashid Khan played a stormy innings, his team Gujarat Titans could not win the match tomorrow, that's why Rashid Khan was not declared the man of the match.

Obviously one can argue in favor of Rashid as it was an extraordinary all round performance but his batting didn't make any difference, his team lost by 27 runs and it is considered an easy victory.

Maybe if the losing margin was 6-10 runs then the award could have gone to him. Winning team grabbing an award is a norm but from this edition, this pattern has been changed.

It's good to see some changes in the Man of the Match award.

Before it was all about the winning team but this season they are handing out awards to the best performances of the match, results hardly matter and rightly so. I'd like to see this rule internationally too.

I never ever thought that Rashid Khan can also bat, I never expected him to bat so agressively. It might be because of money or it might be because he loves to play in IPL.

SKY was in his best and we know he is the best batter across the globe in T20 format. What he did yesterday was what he is expected after his incredible performance in T20WC.

As a fan of cricket I think the player of the match should have gone to Rashid Khan as not only he bowled well, he also batted exceptionally good yesterday.

SKY terrific performance in last few matches is paving MI way towards next round. With win over GT in last game, MI are now at number 3 position on points table. SKY scored 103 runs on 49 balls in last game against GT while he scored 83 runs on 35 balls against RCB. MI still have 2 more matches to play and if SKY can repeat his performance then MI will surely in next round.
