In the last few matches, we have seen erratic performances from the Kolkata batsmen. Kolkata lost most of the matches due to the erratic performance of the batsmen. Looking at the pitch today I don't think the pitch is bowling friendly. It is not too difficult to score big on this pitch. Even then, it was not easy for Kolkata to win the match. The team lost only 2 wickets. Although they did well at the beginning of the innings, their batting is a bit slow now. Kolkata collected only 76 runs in 10 overs. If they do not bat well in the next 5 overs, it will not be possible to win the match. Kolkata need to score at least 60 runs in the next 5 overs if they want to win the match easily.

Finally Kolkata win this match in last ball. Rinku singh become last ball hero to give victory to his team. This was very interesting match i seen in thi IPL season. After Nitish rana wicket it's seem that PK will win this match because 55 runs was required in only 28 balls but Russell is the man who can change this game to easy win and he did this in this match. His 42 of 23 balls was key runs KKR win this match.
for last some matches we are seeing big score in first inining and second team chasing big target. Sunrise chased big target of 214 and today KKR 179 while before this 129 target was difficult to chase. i don't know why this change in run chasing happen?

Kolkata won so I am happy. Because I like this team. Jason Roy, Nitish Rana, Russel and RInku batted well. And I would say Kolkata won because of the responsible batting of these four batsmen. But I thought they would reach the victory target more easily. But Kolkata batted till the last ball to win. But I am annoyed by Venkatesh Iyer's batting. The target was big enough. But Iyer's strike rate was only 84. Iyer is a very experienced batsman. The team does not expect such a stupid performance from an experienced batsman like him. Kolkata is now the fifth team in the points table. The team still has a chance to qualify for the knockout rounds.

Unquestionably the team's vital batting contributions from Sunil Narine, Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, and Rinku Singh helped them to a dramatic victory. Cricket is a team sport thus it is crucial to remember that each player's performance affects the result. Despite the fact that Venkatesh Iyer's strike rate was lower than anticipated it is important to keep in mind that cricket is a game in which every player experiences ups and downs. Iyer should be pushed to recover and play better in the following matches. Just hoping that this guy will not end up as an one-season wonder like Rahul Tewatia. His contribution (21 from 10 balls) was very crucial towards the end for Kolkata Knight Riders. To be fair, they had two more power hitters down the order (Shardul Thakur and Sunil Narine), but Russell and Rinku finished things off, without bothering them. And it was poor captaincy from Shikhar Dhawan at the other end. Tewatia is anything but hardly a one season wonder. He bats at lower order, 6-7 at most and in the finisher role, he's doing a good job for his franchise. Let's hope for the best for these guys.

Well, as a skipper, Sikhar looks clueless to me. His decisions seem odd all the time, be it field set or bowling change. In contrast, Punjab was doing okayish when Curran was leading the team.

RCB lost the match. They also lost the match very convincingly. Mumbai Indians got to the target with 21 balls left and the target was 200. That alone speaks volumes about the bowling of RCB. It is quite sure that RCB is not going to do well with this type of bowling performance.

Don't get me wrong.  the target was very good from RCB. But when your opponent is reaching 200 and still having 21 balls left you have a problem to fix. I think it will not be very realistic for the RCB fans to hope for too much from them in this tournament.

Apart from du Plessis and Maxwell, none of the other batsmen in the team could bat responsibly. Also the performance of each of their bowlers was very poor. Bengaluru's captain used his 5 bowlers. 200 would have been more than enough, against teams such as KXIP or SRH. But then Mumbai is at entirely another level. And RCB bowlers are also not in good form, especially Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga (purchased for $1.31 million per year each). The pitch was very flat and even in-form bowlers like Mohammed Siraj and Josh Hazlewood went for plenty of runs. Anyway, this is similar story for the RCB season after season. Making Faf du Plessis the captain instead of Virat Kohli has also not worked so far. And one thing that made me confused was the substitution of Mahipal Lomror with Kedar Jadhav in the first innings. Ideally, RCB should have got one extra bowler instead of Kedar.

MI are on fire. If their top-order clicks(Excluding Rohit), they are winning most matches regardless of how big the target is. Nehal Wadhera is probably their biggest find this season in my opinion.

I truly feel sad for RCB fans who keep cheering for them again and again only to be let down again and again. Their playoffs qualification hope just decreased drastically.
