The match between Thailand and Malaysia is currently ongoing at the Asian Games Men's Cricket Competition. Malaysia has raced to 147/1 after just 12 overs. A total in the vicinity of 250 looks probable. Syed Aziz and Muhammad Amir are at the crease and the former has made 73 from 38 balls till now. Singapore and Malaysia have already two points in Group C, and if Thailand loses this match then they will be out of the tournament. Malaysia will qualify for the quarter-finals and as per the schedule they will be playing against one of the full-member nations in QF stage.

Thailand disqualify from this series and Congratulations Malaysia to make their place in Quarter final.

But then, Yashasvi Jaiswal is now batting on 93, and we can expect even more fireworks from him once he complete his century. 5 overs are remaining. If India can score at 15 runs per over, then they will end up at 220-225. But the Nepali spinners are doing a decent job at this point. With such a huge target, Nepal has virtually zero chances of winning the match and qualifying for the semis. They are at 73/2 after 10 overs and need 13 runs per over from now. Kushal Malla is at the crease with 28 from 19 balls so far. He is the one who scored the lighting-fast century against Mongolia. At this point, both the batsmen are struggling against Indian spinners (Ravi Bishnoi and Washington Sundar).

You are right, it was not an easy task for Nepal to score 179 runs against the mighty India. It is clear from this match that how much the players of Nepal team have been able to change themselves. It is expected that there will be many more changes in front of the players of Nepal team and like other, other strong teams, Nepal team will also become a popular team at some point. In this match, however, the Nepalese team lost against the strong Indian team. Still I will say that Nepal team has performed well and showed a lot of courage in this match

Nepal can blame themselves. They conceded at least 10-15 runs from their misfields. Without this many runs, the Indian total would have been much smaller. And India was 179 at the end of 19th over. In the last over, Abinash Bohara conceded 23 runs. All these added up and resulted in a close defeat for them. If they want to catch the attention from the ICC, then they need to win against full member nations. Close defeats won't serve the purpose. I feel bad for Nepal players, but the truth is that they wasted an excellent opportunity today to get an upset win.

If semi final will not play between India and Pakistan. There are most chances, the final of Asian Games will be between India and Pakistan. Now, Pakistan is playing well and  Pakistan score is 119 with fall of 7 wickets. Omair yousaf made 21 runs  with 21 balls. Asif Ali made 25 runs with 21 balls. Arafat made 23 runs in only 15 balls. If Pakistan give a target of 135 runs it will be very difficult for Hong Kong to chase this score. Pakistan bowling line up is very good and Pakistan can defend this score. Now match is almost end few overs are left. This is there second quarter final match between Pakistan and Hong Kong. Hong Kong won toss and chose to bowl first. Pakistan batting performance was commendable and they give good target to Hong Kong team. Pakistan scored 160 runs in 20 overs by losing all wickets. Aamer Jamal show good performance and he scored 41 runs in 16 balls ( 2 fours and 4 sixes) and from bowler inning Khushdil Shah also give his best performance and took 3 wickets of Hong Kong team. Two of the quarter-finals are now complete, and the other two are scheduled for tomorrow. The good news is that rain has stayed out for now. In the semis, India will be facing the winner from Bangladesh vs Malaysia match, while Pakistan will be facing the winner of Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan match. Minus the fielding, their batting is undoubtedly improving. I did see some familiar faces so I guess they went with almost the same team as the Asia Cup.

Also, the pitch was okay-ish but the grounds are not good for international matches. At times boundaries felt way too small especially the square boundaries were like women's cricket level. They should have pushed the boundaries a bit, they had a fair amount of space so it wasn't the issue here.

Today we had both easy matches for the big giants of Asia with Pakistan beats minor Hong Kong and India beats Nepal which done good job with their batting which creates some good entertainment for the fans even ground conditions were not good for the game but now tomorrow we will have two more good matches with Bangladesh vs Malaysia and Sri Lanka going to face Afghanistan which could be good entertaining match for the fans.

With most chances we will have another India vs Pakistan final for the Gold Medal and for me India is favorite to win this competition because they have well-balanced side which can do much better against any team in this competition.

There is a good chance that the final will be between India and Pakistan. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have sent second tier squads to the Asian Games, as the ODI World Cup is ongoing. For India and Pakistan, even their second tier squads are of good quality. But that is not the case with other teams. As things stand now, I believe that India will get the gold medal and Pakistan may end up with the silver medal.
