In the fifth and final T20 match, Team India won the toss and decided to bat but their opening pair did not play well. Basically, these two Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma played fairly well. The partnership between the two was very good. Suryakumar Yadav scored 61 runs from 45 balls and Tilak Varma scored 27 runs from 18 balls. Apart from these two Indian batsmen, the other batsmen did not bat that well. West Indies have been given a target of 165. I think India will have to bowl well and take West Indies' wickets and the match will be in their hands. Apart from West Indies' Akel Hossain and Holder, no bowler's performance was controlled. Every bowler has given plenty of runs. The players in this Indian squad are talented. They have the ability to beat big teams. But the problem is that their performance is not consistent. And this is one reason why they will fall behind so much. If they want to do well on big platforms, it is important to maintain consistency in performance.

No doubt its a game that belongs to Indian batsmen. WI batting first gave a decent target but the target was not adequately secured by the bowlers. WI are lucky that they get atleat one wicket and avoided a ten wicket defeat. If India can win this series then it will give huge confidence both to BCCI and new talent that they also have the ability to play well.

After losing the first two matches, probably no one thought that India could win this series, if there were no changes in the Indian squad. Everyone thought there would be quite a few changes in the Indian squad. And senior players will be given opportunities. But this is not the case. The India management has trusted its young players. Gave them more opportunities. Senior players are not included in the squad. And in the next two matches we saw great performances from the youngsters of India. And if the batsmen are able to continue such performance then they can defeat West Indies in the last match as well. The team that wins the last match will win the series. I consider India as the favorite in the last match.

In this match, India could not extend the target which can be a cause to loss this match. On the other hand, West Indies also started their innings well. Due to which, they were very close to overcoming that target. Losing the series after making a comeback shows how bad is the team. In recent matches India team is like depending on few players. Once similar situation prevailed with the Pakistan team. The team used to have good line-up, but they don't perform when the match is critical.

Yesterday it was India to chase the target easier. Today it is West Indies to win it in an easy way with the best performance of Brandon King scoring 85* runs in 55 balls. India should think and play better as Asia Cup and world cup matches were fast approaching.

Really feeling sad for the future of Indian team. Without Rohit, Virat and Jadeja, the team is nothing. Really very disappointing performance by team India in yesterday’s last match against WI. WI who didn’t even qualified for the last year’s T20 world cup, have now defeated one of the strong T20 team. I don’t know whose fault it is, but Pandya really did weak captaincy. I still can’t understand why BCCI considering these senior players as unfit? They are hardly 34 in age, they can easily play for next 2 years. Under them these youngsters will gain experience and knowledge and this only can improve their gameplay. Let’s hope the best for team India is Asia Cup.

Hardik is not exactly captainship material and it is clear to everyone now. India should look into other options. BTW, it was disappointing to see the top order failing once again. During the 4th match, both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill played exceptionally well. But these two together made just 14 runs yesterday. Sanju Samson continues to fail, despite being given numerous opportunities at this level, while Hardik Pandya also disappointed yesterday. And for yesterday's match, India had four genuine tailenders (Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Mukesh Kumar).Therefore the lower order also didn't contributed much.

I do not know if the Indian team is in bad form at the moment or if they just do not take the West Indies team seriously. Perhaps they thought the West Indies is not a strong team and they took things for granted.

Anyhow this T20 series defeat may badly impact the Indian cause in the upcoming Asia Cup and World Cup as the team morale will be down after this defeat.

On the other hand, It is a very important series win for WI when they are in their worst days, not able to qualify for the world cup and losing back to back matches. This win may give them hope that they can return back to their glory days if they work hard in the next few years.
