Shubman Gill was making his best in the short period,if he continue the same game for couple of months.Surely he will get his permanent position in Indian team.Because India team currently need of opener like Sachin and Sehwag position.The Indian team tried with Dhawan in the few years back,but he doesn't get good partner and due to misunderstanding with the team Dhawan was not survived in the India team.Since the World Cup was in this year.Gill will have good option to take part in the squad of Indian team for this World Cup 2023.

As of now, there is too much competition for the top-order spots. Only Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are considered as regulars. Anyway, the Asia Cup tournament is coming up in less than three weeks from now, and the performances by different players during this tournament will have an implication in the selection of playing XI for the world cup. India will be playing their first match on 2nd September. 

Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli are India's most experienced players. However, senior players may retire within the next few years. That's why India has already started preparing replacements for these players. As young players gradually gain experience, not having senior players in the squad will not have much effect on the team's performance.

Indian team is a very strong team in current season as some new players have come in (if experienced) bye Indian team will look stronger.  Like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rahul these players are very experienced and by using their suggestions and intelligence and strategy the Indian team is ready to win. So the current season without these experienced players is quite good. Not all players stay in the team forever and have to leave due to age. The biggest obstacle for experienced players is their age.

Just as a player cannot serve the team forever, the team is incomplete on the field without senior cricketers. A senior cricketer can provide better service on the field than a young cricketer but cannot provide mental support to the players on the field like a senior cricketer. If there were experienced players like Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma in this T20 series, India would not have been defeated so badly in the first two matches. Along with playing well, experience is very important, along with good performance, if a player has experience on the field then he can give 100 percent performance. There are enough young talented players in Indian cricket at the moment, these young talented players can contribute a lot to the team when they get some experience.

Dhawan is already 37 years old and the decision to retire for the upcoming Ireland series is a decision too soon in my opinion because he can still play well and at least decided to retire when he was 40 years old.
After all, he has also been the player who has scored the most goals for India several times, so his ability at this age has not decreased significantly

The dude is already 37 years old. Retiring is not going to be a bad idea for him to be honest. And I am not saying this to insult him. I am genuinely saying that cricket is becoming more fast-paced with time. So every team will look for younger players to keep up with the pace. I have to say he is still a good player. It’s just because India has a lot of young players waiting in line for chances to prove themselves. And India also knows that they will eventually have to let Shikhar Dhawan know about that decision sooner or later.

I also think that Shikhar Dhawan was half expecting this situation. At least he should have been with his age. But I respect his decision to not make a scene out of this end. The stats say everything. His strike rate is even better in away matches. Only the average is a little low compared to home matches. I am also wondering who are those critics.
