For the upcoming T20 series against South Africa, it is Steve Smith to open for the team Australia. The chief selector of Australia Cricket team George Bailey have announced it. This change have been made keeping in mind the next year's T20 World Cup. Steve Smith have good records and stands as a solid performer in ODI and test format cricket have now got into the shortest form of cricket. During the announcement Bailey also mentioned about his performance in the Big Bash and expect similar thing with the international games.

Having Smith open the bat in T20 cricket is a huge comeback for an Australian T20 cricketer. We usually see Smith batting at number four or number five but suddenly his opening batting is a real surprise. In T20 cricket it doesn't matter which position you play but what you contribute to the team matters a lot. In T20 cricket, the captain may not think that a certain player has to play in a certain position, at any time it is possible to rotate the team's players to bat in different positions. Looks like Dhawan will be retiring soon after the upcoming Ireland series. He truly deserved more opportunities when compared to Rohit etc. Also, it seems that Iyer and Rahul will be returning soon too.

Some sources stated that Bumrah will be returning too, but I am not sure about that considering his fitness issues.

But they do not have consistency of performance. This is why BCCI is likely to give more opportunities to these players. Ireland are relatively weak opponents. Indian youngsters have the potential to perform well against Ireland. I have not seen news that Shikhar Dhawan will back in this squad.

If not for Tilak and SKY, India would have lost the third match (and the series) as well. Bowling was disappointing, with West Indian batsmen making a total of close to 160 runs. Anyway, by now one thing is clear. Without the key players such as Kohli and Rohit, India can't win matches (even against lower ranking test nations) under SENA conditions.

At first when I saw the target and make a comparison with the last matches so I thought that if West Indies performance remain same as previous so it will be difficult again for the Indian team to win the match. I guess they included him and some other old players as it's his farewell series which is why these are just temporary changes. Am waiting to see Bumrah on top of his game again at some point in the future.

Dhawan is already 37 years old and the decision to retire for the upcoming Ireland series is a decision too soon in my opinion because he can still play well and at least decided to retire when he was 40 years old.
After all, he has also been the player who has scored the most goals for India several times, so his ability at this age has not decreased significantly.

Even I have to be agreed with you about this all, but now it's time to praise these youngsters as well because West Indies is down and out from all formats but still this is never been easy to compete with them at their home and current Indian team which is having all youngsters are done good after losing two early matches while West Indies were at batting I have feeling if they are going to touch target of 170+ then surely it's going to be another defeat for the Indian team, but bowlers fight back in good way and restricted them for better target.
 
In batting we need some time for these players to done better, but Tilak Verma is good addition with SKY is without any doubt one of the best in business hopefully in coming months we will have improved performance from them in this format and these youngsters will keep going at the top of the game with their experience in IPL.

Are you hallucinating about Shubhman Gills's career? He was never a test player but an ODI player with immense talent. He made himself noticed in T20 format in the last IPL and that is why he is part of the Indian team. A batter will always go through ups and down in his career and that is natural. Playing against WI is just a waste of time and effort. That is what I think about the ongoing series and that you should remember before writing.
