It should have been an easy win for Malaysia. They needed just 5 runs from the last over and in form batsmen Virandeep Singh was in strike. He had scored 52 runs from 35 balls till then. But the first three balls went for dots, and Virandeep got out in the 4th ball. Syazrul Idrus and Anwar Rahman only managed 2 runs from the next 2 balls. This is what I don't like about the associate sides. They crack under pressure and they threw away easy opportunities to win matches against full member nations. A win today would have been earth-shattering for Malaysia.

Normally you would expect a set batter to score runs against a part time bowler but Afif Hossain has more than enough exposure in international cricket and knows how to handle the pressure, maybe that's why he did well with the ball despite being a batting all rounder.

Guess that's where some sort of international experience counts.

In the beginning, the batsmen of the Bangladesh team could not stand properly in front of the Malaysian bowlers. Later, in the 7 over of the game, the batsmen of the Bangladesh team were able to turn the tide of the game. Saif Hussan's great performance in today's match has resulted in Bangladesh team being able to score 116 runs. Bangladesh team batsman Saif Hossan remains unbeaten with 50 runs in the 52 ball. I think, with a score of 117 runs against Malaysia, the Bangladesh team will fail to make it to the semi-finals

Although the Bangladesh team gave this small run score to Malaysia but Malaysia failed to complete this run score. Because the Malaysia team is not that strong as the players of the Bangladesh team are of low level and the Malaysia team is losing to them. Bangladesh team performed very poorly in the beginning due to which I thought that Bangladesh will definitely lose this match today. But later Saif Hossan and Afif Hossain were able to win the Bangladesh team due to the long time on the ground. And especially in today's match, the two bowlers who contributed the most to the win, Afif Hossain and Ripon Mondol, took the most wickets with the least runs. Bowling has contributed the most.

Even if the Malaysia team could not meet the score, I want to tell you that the players of the Malaysian team did not play worse than the Bangladesh team. In this match Malaysia team was not defeated by a big margin against Bangladesh team. The Malaysian team was defeated by the Bangladesh team by just two runs. As you may have enjoyed the whole match play, Malaysia team had 94% chance of winning till the last over of this match. In the last over of the game when Malaysia team needed 4 runs from 5 balls to win the match when I thought that Malaysia team is going to qualify for semi final against Bangladesh team. But due to the strong bowling performance of the last over bowler Afif Hossain, the Malaysian team was defeated by only 2 runs against the Bangladesh team.

The match has completed between Qater and Saudi Arabia.Saudi Arabia won the match by 7 wickets. Saudi Arabia chase the target before 9 balls. Saudi Arabia played very well. Manan Ali performed 52 runs in only 37 runs. Waheed also played very well and made 38 runs in 32 balls. Faisal Khan made 27 runs in only  13 balls. Waqar ul Hassan made  34 runs in only 28 balls. Saudi Arabia won the match easily. From Qatar side, Arshad  made 76 runs in only 41 balls, he performed excellent inning. Shaikh got 2 wickets by giving 21 runs in 4 overs.Saudi Arabia batting side is very good. Saudi Arabia easily defeated Qatar. Qatar bowlers cannot defend this score, while 168 runs were not bad score but Saudi Arabia got a big victory.

Today is the 10th match out of 12 of ICC World Qualifier series between Saudi Arabia and Qatar team. Qatar won toss and choose to batting at first this is not a good decision for Qatar but in favor of SDA team. I appreciate the effort of Qatar team in this match they scored 168 runs target to SDA but this was not sufficient for getting victory. SDA team got a nice victory today and I hope that Saidia team will be definitely qualify for Wold cup because in this series they won all matches from other teams and also they did not lose any match. All he had to do was to take a few 2s and then the match would have been over. But he was under pressure after the Bangladeshi bowler managed three consecutive dot balls. Got out in the 4th ball and the tailend batsmen who came after him didn't had the capability to score the winning runs. A bit more experience would have helped Malaysia at this point. But overall, I am impressed with the progress made by Malaysia over the last few years.

Anyway, Malaysia need to learn from these mistakes. They have the added advantage compared to other teams, as the government is quite supportive. Also, as a member of the ACC they are also eligible for additional funds. I hope that the ACC will also take notice of good performance by teams like Nepal and Malaysia. It will be a good idea to expand the Asia Cup competition to 8 teams instead of the current 6. But then, I don't want fake teams like Oman and United Arab Emirates to gain entry at the cost of genuine teams with native players.

In today's 2nd T20 match of Australia Women vs West Indies Women team, West Indies Women team won the match by 7 wickets. Australia Women team came out to bat first and set a target of 212 runs in 20 overs. At first I thought this run was right for Australia Women team to win.  Runs were scored but West Indies Women team won this run very easily. Enjoyed a very nice match between two teams. I placed a bet against West Indies Women team in this match. I did not win in this match today.

Amazing come back from WI in 2nd T20I to level the series 1-1. Honestly I was not expecting such performance from WI-Women team since its not easy to beat  Australian women's team. Credit for today's victory goes to Hayley Matthews and Stafanie Taylor who both have a partnership of 174 runs. Now WI have a great chance to win a T20I series on Australia soil.

The third  T20 between West Indies Women team and the Australian women team will commence in about one hours from now. This match is important in a sense that both the teams have one match each and this is T20 series decider match.

The first match was won comfortably by the Australian women team as they won it by 8 wickets.

The second match won by West Indies and that too by 7 wickets and it was a very close match.

I am expecting to be a thriller in today’s match too. It would be an history if West Indies women team can win this one on the Australian soil.

Look like people are not interested in this match as we are having the first match of the world cup in progress at the same time. In the match today, Australian women team made 190 runs with 9 wickets down. This is indeed a good score and in normal circumstances, the Australian team should win this match.

Tahlia McGrath scored 65 runs while Ellyse Perry made 40 runs. Most of the batsmen scored quick runs and due to this reason the team was able to make 190 runs. From  West Indies team, Shamilia Connell took 3 wickets and was the best bowler from their team.

Bangladesh made a sub-par total, but still they managed to recover from the early setbacks. At one point, they were 3/3 after Pavandeep Singh and Vijay Unni ripped through the top-order. Still, thanks to Saif Hassan, Afif Hossain and Shahadat Hossain they recovered to 116/5. Towards the end, Malaysian bowlers lost their steam and conceded too many runs. Malaysia also had a poor start, with Ripon Mondol and Afif Hossain taking quick wickets. Virandeep Singh gave them some hope, but in the end he couldn't finish the game.

Today is the last and 12th match of ICc world cup Qualifier between Saudia and Kuwait. Kuwait won toss and chose to bowling first. Saudia Arabia scored 173 runs in 20 overs by losing 4 wickets only. A.Waheed and W.Ul Hassan played very good and show commendable performance in this match. A.Waheed scored 83 runs in 58 balls and close to century but unfortunately after 83 he got out and W.Ul Hassan scored 44 runs in 37 balls and out by Bilal Tahir. Suadia Arabia set good target but if we see Kuwait team batting performance then this target is not enough. Match is going to very tough and both teams have pressure on then and let's see at then end of this match.

Tomorrow at 6:30am IST, we will have the first semi-final between India and Bangladesh at the Asian Games Men's Cricket Competition. Indians would be satisfied with nothing less than a gold medal (the Indian women already won gold in their category). India played just one match till now, and that was the quarter-final clash against Nepal. It was a close match, in which some of their weaknesses were exposed. But then, Bangladesh was no better against Malaysia during their quarter-final match. The second semi-final (Afghanistan vs Pakistan) will start by 11:30am IST.

In chase, West Indies all team out by  making 143 runs in 19.5 overs. Hayley Matthews Scored 79 runs in only 40 balls. Alleyne made 26 runs in 23 balls. Darcie brown took 3 wickets by giving  20 runs in 4 overs and Gardner took 3 wickets by giving 32 runs in 3.5 overs. Kim took 2 wickets by giving  24 runs in 4 overs. At the end, Hayley Matthews was the player of the match.
