India Women team won the gold and this time Men team also won the gold. In the last days of Asian Games rain have troubled the matches, maybe if rain had disturbed matches from the beginning days maybe the teams entering the semifinals would've changed. India is the only country that have performed as expected. Big disappointment from team Pakistan and good improvement can be see from Afghanistan team.

Indians were a firm favorite to win the gold but if I am being honest then I didn't like the finish.

Teams were not given a chance to chase and defend the total but one team got the medal based on seed ranking. I agree, the result was based on rules but this is flawed and this specific rule should be scrapped for good. We've already seen the same rule going against Associate members a few times, despite being superior sides in the competition.

It was a surprise for Afghanistan to beat Pakistan in the finals, I thought maybe India and Pakistan would be the Asian Games finalists before the second semi-final, but in the second semi-final, Afghanistan performed brilliantly against Pakistan and qualified for the Asian Games final against India. 
Despite having India as their opponent, they could not defeat India in the final, as the full game was not played due to rain. Perhaps India is awarded the gold medal and Afghanistan is awarded the silver medal for maximum wins or maximum runs scored.
In the third-place match, Bangladesh beat Pakistan by six wickets under rain-rule conditions to win the bronze medal.

India-Afghanistan has been rewarded according to its merits. But the team in Bangladesh got the award I think it depends on their luck. Basically Pakistan team plays much better than Bangladesh team. So the bronze award was expected to go to the Pakistan team on merit. But unfortunately due to the rain, the cruel irony of fate happened to the Pakistan team. In that day's match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, the rain brought something beautiful to the Bangladesh team. Had the rain not interfered in that match, something could have happened differently for the Bangladesh team. But I think India got the perfect award as the best team. The new series of T20 is here, but no one has any interest or excitement in seeing a T20 match because of the ODI World Cup. The new series is New Zealand women vs South Africa women. Today is the second match of this series. The 1st match result does not come because of the DLS method. Lea Tahuhu is a good bowler from New Zealand.

Sierra Leone vs Nigeria
Sierra Leone won the toss against Nigeria and elected to bat  first. Nigeria is strongest side as comparison to the Sierra Leone  and both teams played 8 matches, Nigeria won 7 matches and Sierra Leone only won 1 match. In last five matches, Nigeria was victorious against Sierra Leone. This is match of West Africa T20I trophy but Nigerian side has more chances to win. Now SRL score is 14 with fall of 3 wickets in 4.2 overs, and this is 9th match of West African trophy. No batsman played good and no one could enter in double figures. Okpe is performing good and took 2 wickets in one over. It is very hard for SRL to win this match.

If Afghanistan were allowed to play rest of 10 balls then they could have given a target of 120 to 125 runs, which will be quite competitive seeing the level of competition in Asian games. All I know is cruel DRS method which is known for giving mysterious results, now there is seed ranking in place of DRS.

The second match of South Africa Women vs New Zealand Women T20 series has started. The first match was abandoned, in today's match the New Zealand women batted first and collected 111 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. According to the T20 format, the New Zealand women's team could not bat well in today's match. Maddy Green batted very well today and was unbeaten on 35 off 36 balls. Chloe Tryon bowled brilliantly, picking up 4 wickets for 15 runs in 4 overs. Due to playing at home ground, South Africa bowling line has improved a lot, hopefully the batting line will improve. South Africa Women's team needs 112 runs from 120 balls to win, which can easily win in T20 format. South Africa women's team is far ahead to win today's match. It has already started raining, I don't know if it will stop today. If the rain stops at the specified time, the South Africa women's team is more likely to win when the game starts.

A target of 49 runs is certainly a very weak and low target, which is very difficult for the bowlers to defend. A disadvantage of such a low target is that there is no pressure on the opposition team and their batsmen can play freely. The Nigerian bowlers performed very well, Especially the bowling of isaac okpe and Mohameed taiwo  was worth watching.

 isaac okpe conceded 8 runs in four overs and dismissed three players,Meanwhile, Mohameed taiwo dismissed four players by giving 13 runs in four overs. I think Nigeria won the match easily due to the outstanding performance of these two players.

Now, this has basically become a best of three series. The first two matches did not produce any final results. I believe in the second match of the South African women could actually come out to play they probably had a chance to win. Because that target was not very big. Only 112 but because of rain, the match was unable to be continued. I hope that there will not be any problems in the remaining three matches.

Rain has definitely become a ridiculous thing in cricket. I really believe that there should be a system made for this. Something like a covered stadium. But we all know that is going to cost a lot of money and it is also going to be unfair towards a lot of countries. So maybe keeping a reserved day is a better option?

South Africa women bowling performance is outstanding especially Chloe Tryon who picked 4 Crusial wickets by just giving 15 runs in 4 overs and Nonkululeko Mlaba also bowl well picked up 1 wickets by giving only 12 runs in 4 overs. But After the First inning of the South Africa women's match abounded due to Rain without any result.

There might be an argument for that but when comparing the Indian batting lineup vs the Afghanistan Bowling lineup. My money would have been on India even if the target was 200. They had only 1 international level bowler Gulbadin and he's quite average at best so i don't think they had any chance.

Having said that i am all in for the competition and not a fan of the dodgy rank winner system, no matter if it benefits team India or not.
