The two teams met in the first match of the Pakistan Super League where Lahore Qalandar batted first. Islamabad United won the toss first and they chose to field and sent Lahore Qalandars into bat. Islamabad United won this first opening match of PSL by 8 wickets a huge victory to chased a big total of 196 runs easily against Lahore Qalanders top bowling side including Shaheen Shah Afardi. Team batting first should score over 200 runs if they want to remain in safe zone.

In the 2nd match of the PSL, QG won the match against PZ by 16 runs. Quetta's openers played beautifully and scored 70+ runs in their respective innings. PZ bowlers controlled the scoring rate at the death. In response, PZ batted aggressively and completely controlled the game till Abrar took the wickets of Babar Azam and TKC in the same over. PZ lost the momentum and the match.

In the match between Multan Sultan and Karachi Kings, Multan gave a target of 186 runs to Karachi. After the early departure of Rizwan, Malan and Hendricks took control of the game, played sensibly and scored their respective fifties. Khusdil's cameo at the death helped them to a good total. It is a competitive total, but due might come into play. Karachi should win the match by looking at their batting strength, but it won't be easy because of Multan bowling strength.

It's true baber Azam has done so amazing performance In BPL and now continue his PSL journey with half century on 29 balls and then after some aggressive shorts he able to scored 68 which was quite difficult in such pressure situation where two of thier important top order batter got dismissed due to his won mistake before done any significant contribution, if we have a look at score board first Quetta played phenomenal especially thier two opener Roy and Shakeel  who made more than 150+ partnership and Peshawar zalmi worst bowling is responsible for that who didn't even took important wickets at perfect time. Anyway same and baber try his best but unable to get them while expections were much more high from thier middle order after baber dismissal but all in vain
