A fact I just realized is KKR became the first away team in IPL 2024 to win a match. Kolkata Knight Riders, winning the toss, made RCB bat first.
RCB had a weak start but the opener Virat Kohli staying from the first to last ball making an individual 83 helped create a respectable target of 183 for KKR.
KKR chasing the target was never really in pressure making 183+ in 17th over. With this KKR remains as the team that has won all of its games along with CSK and RR.

That is true RCB's opening was good but their others batsmens can't really that kind of good performance as they need today. Patidar is failing to perform since long. Regarding other players you mentioned, what I mean was Kohli plus these are the ones RCB is heavily dependent on, one of them must have performed good if RCB did ok in the match. I know in their first match Rawat and Karthik played well (Rawat is a good wk anyhow, and Karthik did ok yesterday too, good to see him back in form after lackluster previous season), that's definitely a good news for RCB but their bowling department sucks balls, as you mentioned, with what logic they bought other guys, I wonder.

You are right, RCB has not won any title so far, I definitely want RCB to do very well in this IPL and take home the title under the leadership of Virat Kohli. However, King Virat Kohli performed brilliantly for RCB against Kolkata Knight Riders. Virat Kohli's impeccable performance allowed RCB to collect 182 runs in the allotted 20 overs. But if RCB bowlers could have controlled bowling and bowled aggressively from the start, RCB would have had a chance to win against Kolkata Knight Riders. RCB bowlers did not bowl that well due to which the opening pair of Kolkata Knight Riders batted brilliantly and came close to victory very easily. If you take a closer look at 3 important partnerships Kohli was part of (with the likes of Green, Maxwell and DK), you would notice that all three outscored Kohli with much better SR. 180 was below par score at that track, KKR's batting already proved this by spanking RCB bowlers.

Had those 3 batters played like Kohli (Anchor role) then RCB's score would have been well short of 165-170-ish.
