I was also hoping for SRH's record to be broken, unfortunately it didn't happen, that yorker to get out Russel was pure marvel though. I'm not sure which teams exacly you mean that are underperforming, if it's MI/RCB, RCB is as usual hopeless, regarding MI, I'm sure they will make a comeback.

Close to 300 scores are not competitive rather a sure-fire win for the defending team, such scores leave no room for second inning whereas I think 170- 200 runs are competitive totals.

SRH vs MI was not as one sided despite being a high scoring match, but I think it's rare feat.

Batting friendly pitches + Bad bowling + Small grounds + Excellent batting combo is the reason why teams are scoring such high scores in T20s these days.

70+75 meters Straight, 65 meters square boundaries are not small per se but modern batters can clear it quite easily. Dead pitches also help it as batters can time the ball ridiculously well. The problem comes when you deliberately shorten the boundaries to 60 meters (straight), luckily it stopped in the IPL and you hardly see 60-meter boundaries, unless you are using side pitches (one side boundary becomes way too small like it's a woman's cricket).

You can't solve this short boundaries problem in existing grounds because stadiums are small but there should be enough space in new grounds for 80-90 or even 100-meter boundaries (Straight).

I agree with you. Kolkata team is performing great this season as compared to previous seasons. Almost every player in the squad has been performing well since the first match. And the dominance of Kolkata's players in every match is visible.

Kolkata's batsmen are in great form. Although Narine did not perform well in the first two matches, Narine batted very aggressively in yesterday's match. Russell is also in very good form. The 16th match of the Indian Premier League was amazing to watch and all the batsmen of Kolkata Knight Riders batted in great form in that match which resulted in them scoring a lot of runs. What I found most surprising in that match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals was that Angkrish Raghuvanshi played an innings to remember in his debut match. On that day, most of the batsmen of Kolkata Knight Riders played the ball less but scored more runs for which Kolkata was able to score 272 runs in that match.
