Pakistan vs New Zealand fifth T20 match

Today, the fifth T20 match i.e. the last T20 match of the T20 series between the host Pakistan and the visiting New Zealand team is going to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. In this five-match T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand, after the hosts Pakistan won the second T20I, they were miserably defeated by the New Zealand team in the third and fourth in the next two matches. In the two matches that the Pakistan team lost, their batting, bowling and fielding performances were not good, which saw them losing the match to a young and inexperienced New Zealand team. Today's match is very important for Pakistan team because if New Zealand team wins then they will easily win this T20 series against Pakistan.

On the other hand, if Pakistan want to save their honor, they will have to give their best today and play well to prevent New Zealand from winning the series. Today we may see some good fast bowlers in Pakistan team especially Md Amir Shahensha Afridi and Naseem Shah may be in Pakistan playing XI today and even field to fight against New Zealand.

Pakistan are unable to win their home matches against New Zealand's second-tier squad. I would say it is a shame for Pakistan. Pakistan won the second match due to excellent performance by the bowlers. But Pakistan lost the next two matches. We don't see any better performance from Pakistani batsmen on batting friendly pitch. Also Pakistani bowlers bowling seems to be getting worse day by day. If this continues, the Pakistan team will be defeated in today's match as well.

We have seen the batting frenzy of Kolkata and Hyderabad batsmen this season. In yesterday's match, we saw the stormy batting of Punjab's batsmen. I don't imagine any team can win so easily on a target of 262 runs. Even if the target of this match was 280, maybe Punjab would have been able to win the match. Punjab's batsmen have performed well in this match.

Bairstwo, Prabhsimran Singh and Shashank Singh batted brilliantly in this match. Baistwo remained unbeaten on 108 off 48 balls. Prabhsimran singh got out with 54 runs from 20 balls. And Shashank was unbeaten with 68 off 28 balls. Apart from Narine, I have not seen any bowler bowl controlled.

Scoring rate has gone down since the depart of Jake Fraser-McGurk and if DC keep moving down then they might not able to score 200.

Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first, but Mumbai Indians bowlers could not use this decision properly. Delhi Capitals opener duo Abishek Porel and Jake Fraser-McGurk batted brilliantly. Jake Fraser-McGurk batted brilliantly and was dismissed for 84 off 27 balls. Current score of Delhi Capitals is 180 runs for two wickets in 14 overs. Looking at the current state of play of Delhi Capitals, it seems that if they can bat like this, they can give Mumbai Indians a target of 230 runs. Porel was annoying to watch with JFMG blowing fire on the other end, wasted whole freaking over in powerplay, didn't try to hit boundaries, didn't take a single (wait, he did but on last ball to waste some more balls) and ruined JFMG's momentum who would have likely made century otherwise.

The Kolkata was in the top of the table,So this loss will not affect them.This win was conquered by the Punjab by their hard work in the game.Before this match the fielding and bowling of the Punjab was average one.Yesterday the Punjab bowling was good but the bowlers was too sad,all the batsmen of both team made the good game.Really it was the highest score chase in the IPL match and in the World T20 series,before it was the South Africa and West Indies match.Now new history was creating in this IPL,this was before the T20 World Cup.So every player showing his full talent to take part in the IPL team.

Even though Bairstow scored his strongest century for the team without Shashank the match would not complete in this way.Because the last three sixes was the greatest knock to reach the targeted score before the end of the game.At the beginning the Kolkata started the match like easy win,the batsman of Punjab had reached them the new lesson.The score of 261 in IPL can be chasing one in this t20 match.

Delhi Capitals batsmen batted brilliantly against Mumbai Indians as Delhi Capitals scored 257 runs in their allotted 20 overs of responsible batting. Delhi Capitals have set a target of 258 runs to Mumbai Indians if Delhi Capitals bowlers can bowl brilliantly well and keep Mumbai Indians under pressure from the start then they can win against Mumbai Indians. We saw a high voltage match yesterday which was Punjab Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders Kolkata Knight Riders batted brilliantly in the target of 261 runs Punjab Kings won by eight wickets. If Mumbai Indians want to win today's match against Delhi Capitals, they must bat responsibly. If the opening pair of Mumbai Indians bats very well, surely they can win against Delhi Capitals.

NZ must be comfortable with rain but Pakistan can't afford a rain today they need the match to be played. The first T20I was reduced to 5 overs before being called off due to rain, weather is partly cloudy in Lahore today and chances are we can have the match as scheduled. PCB management need to focus on lessons learned from this series, players must be selected based on there performance in domestic cricket not on few success in PSL.

IPL will be very much open for DC if they win today's game which is very much likely to happen. 

I wouldn't discount MI just yet, they have good batting and yesterday's Punjab's win over similar target would also give them psychological assurance that this is doable chase.

This series will be start from 10 May then they are going to be play in England against them for four T20Is matches. That would be starting from 22nd May while Ireland series will finish on 14 May.
After this, they had to go to America and the West Indies to play World Cup T20. There are back to back T20Is matches for Pakistan.

DC batsmen have scored 257 runs in 20 overs.  And gave such a difficult and big target to MI batsmen.  Which is not going to happen with their batsmen.  Their batsmen need 137 runs off 53 balls.  And that it has become impossible for them to win now.Their batsmen are not working hard and struggling in today's match.Hardik Pandya has scored 33 runs off 18 balls and is not going with enough effort and struggle to achieve the target and win the match.Tilak Verma has scored 22 runs off 15 balls.  And he too has not performed well and is not scoring runs.MI batsmen need 118 runs from 43 balls and I think MI team cannot win today's match.

The equation is now 78 runs in 28 balls, which seems unlikely unless they get 2 big overs of 20 runs each. At least they are above RCB and will remain there despite losing this match .
