Ajax has been very lucky in the tournament till now. But their luck will run out next week against Tottenham.

Lucky ? You've gotta be kidding right ? They've been the most unlucky team in this tournament! Where they are now has nothing to do with being lucky, They are brilliant and just that's it! They played against Bayern Munich in the group stage, Madrid at the round of 16, and Juventus at quarter finals do you still consider them lucky, They were obviously better than any these teams over the two leg matches, and Only lost once, at home to Real Madrid which was controversial, They then went ahead to win the 2nd in a grand style, The same thing against Juventus, They've not been lucky, they fully deserve all their results so far!

I'm not sure if this is the case with him but people tend to downplay any teams that aren't in the top 4 leagues.  They don't get as much media attention so they think they are not a capable team.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like there is only 2 games left and not three. I know that we have been underestimating these teams for the whole season but they managed to go this far but I feel like the final is already decided. Barcelona and Liverpool game will be really entertaining and I really don't know which one will win, both of these teams are inconsistent at best and anything could change any moment so I totally agree that it all depends which one of them is on their day and wouldn't bet on it.

Tottenham and Ajax will be super fun too, nobody expected to see neither of these teams on semi finals for sure but here they are so it will be super entertaining but I wouldn't bet on them neither. Yet the final will be a bit predictable, whoever wins from Barcelona Liverpool will destroy ajax/tottenham duo. I can't be the only one who thinks like that right?

I think Tottenham going to win their semifinals against Ajax,  In the last two rounds Ajax didn't play that good at home, but got some nice wins away in the 2nd game, where their opponent maybe  underestimate them, in this semifinals they will play the first game away, I doubt Ajax will win their first game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Where Tottenham still have to play a match ajax got all the room needed to get well prepared.  I am a bit sided towards ajax but let the best team win.

If Ajax can keep up with the same performance they've turned on all season in the competition, then Tottenham would be nothing but another stepping stone, with all due respect to Tottenham fans.

Personally, am not seeing any possibility of what you envisage happening because Tottenham are know for their good game since the beggining of this competition. Ajax actually gat good players likewise Tottenham too, remember they will play at Tottenham, so, the game will be a good cracker for the two side.

I'm not Tottenham fan but I believed you made the above statement because of Tottenham lost this evening to West Ham along with their player injury crisis and you can't actually predict football like that because every team usually put their best in the Champion league. However, I hope the injury issue of the Tottenham player will settle before their clash with Ajax.

Of course not, There could have only been at most 22 minutes of the game played and the score was goalless before my reply, literally, If check the time of my post, and that of when the game started.

I guess the outcome of the match also buttress the fact that Tottenham are unreliable, but it's football and things could in a split second, I still however see Ajax advancing to Final at Tottenham's cost.

My prediction for the final is Tottenham vs Barcelona. Liverpool vs Barcelona is very difficult to predict but I think that Barca will scrape through. Most of the betting sites are favoring Barca and Messi is in good form right now. Also, I think Messi has an excellent chance for his 6th Ballon D’or.  Regarding the second semi-final, Ajax has been very lucky in the tournament till now. But their luck will run out next week against Tottenham.

It's harder to predict Barcelona vs Liverpool than in the Final match later lol. This is a classic match, Barcelona and Liverpool rarely meet in champions league and the last time they met, Liverpool managed to beat Barcelona, but of course the conditions of players are very different nowadays, it is difficult to predict which one escapes

Agree, LFC vs Ajax will be the final match that can surprise analysts, because whatever the results can happen like Ajax is able to come at the semi finals, no one thinks. Even before Ajax was a team that was not predicted to be able to advance so far by football lovers.

While it’s difficult to predict who’ll win I’m hoping for Ajax vs Barcelona finale, I feel if Ajax can defeat Barcelona and lift this cup it’ll be the biggest upset in Champions League history. I will confess I’m biased against Liverpool winning it as I’m a die hard Manchester United fan, and Ajax has only impressed me match after match this season. No one is really talking about Tottenham, and I feel we all have already decided they’ll be defeated by Ajax.

I think you will get your wish. Ajax looks good and they have no injuries (Spurs without Kane, Sisoko and some less important players), add to that the fact that Dutch league cancelled all the games this weekend so Ajax can prepare for CL match uninterrupted. Not very fair for Spurs but every league can decide those things individually. It would be more fair if UEFA prohibited stuff like that. Ajax definitively has an edge here.

I am not so sure about Barca and LFC encounter but my gut tells me we will see close games with small amount of goals and Barca will probably scrape to the final by some Messi magic and little fresher team since they already secured the title this weekend.

Here is my prediction for tomorrow's game between Tottenham and Ajax.
I'd say 1-0 for Tottenham.
I'd really like Ajax to win that semi but I don't know why, I have a bad feeling about this one. They're young, they have been extraordinary in that tournament but I think they'll miss that last step. They'll be remembered for what they did against Real and Juve but I don't think they'll get a shot a the title.

With the record of Barca in their previous games this days and how strong they believe in the Champion league  I won't say their chance is Semis first leg is 50/50. However, the Liverpool seems to be a little weak in their previous game


Ajax played an incredible football this year and I believe one of the reason behind their success was because most people see them as an inexperience players due to their football age of which they getting the require experience in every match they participated and Hotspur must make they don't consume any goal while they try to score at least a goal.

Oh bad didn't check the time you made the post. However, I can't argue with you concern Tottenhan not to move to the next stage(final) of the UEFA league since their manager said there's minimum possibility of reaching the next stage but base on experience Tottenham has almost 7players who played in the semi final of FIFA World cup.

Tottenham seems to have to focus on the champions league. Because this is their last chance to get a trophy this season. But they must be remembered after the match against Ajax later. There was an English league match against Bournemouth, to keep third place in the English league. And I'm sure Tottenham are ready for the match against Ajax.

I didn't see many players listed as missing in Livescore app and for Tottenham this will be like the final seeing it from the importance of the game.I know Ajax has played beautiful football this year but I think Tottenham are a very cynical team and will probably qualify, I am willing to place a bet on them to qualify as the odds is good.

Tottenham achievement this season was very good that on BPL they were pretty strong at 3rd position and in champion league they able to reach semifinal match but regarding the chance i think Tottenham and Ajax have equal opportunity to went to final match so in this case although Tottenham the favourite but don't mean Ajax will easily to defeated

The defeat that happened to Tottenham from West Ham shows lack of concentration to me rather than a focus on the Champions League.
Ajax is a more aggressive team, full of young players who want to be noticed from scouters from big clubs so they will definitely give their best chances to win this game, thus they have better chances for qualifying.

I share your sentiment mate, but I hope Ajax will at least get an away goal tomorrow, Tottenham will be wary of them too. My prediction for the match however is a draw, 1 goal each.

Yes, they worked hard for their victories and I wasn't trying to downplay the effort they put in the ground. I was just saying that the things worked out for them at the right time and the other teams couldn't make use of the star power. If you remember their match against Real Madrid, then you will realize that luck played its part. Everyone had written them off, after the 1-2 loss at home. But the away match was such an upset and no one expected that result.
