if there is a friend who asks about crypto and he wants to invest, I will usually ask what do you know about crypto and why? After that, I only tell a few coins that are "mature", meaning that the project has been running for 3 years and still active

I just recommend investing in Bitcoin and until a person understands exactly how the market lives and works - not to buy other coins.

Invest in top 5 crypto currencies and you won't miss it. Everything depends on them at the moment and their raise will be the  first sign  for the bullish trend, so invest in them and relax because you will get your profit anyway.

For a beginner, try building up your portfolio with a little Bitcoin and Ethereum. The amount you stated, to me is quite an amount for a beginner. If I might suggest, take you time and make studies before you go for any investment.

This is a very bad idea to ask the opinion of complete strangers about where you should invest. Study the material on the topic, and ask questions about obscure nuances. This approach will be much more productive.
actually not so bad. when you are someone who just knows crypto you don't have good experience to choose assets for your investment. and I think I need advice and analysis from other people for my consideration in determining my investment.
If a person does not know how (does not want) to study projects on their own and on the basis of his analysis to make an informed choice that he has nothing to do in this area!

Asking about this give others perspective about the coin we want to invest. Its like collecting more information about coin we want to invest or collecting information about good coin. Sometime people just want to collect information to his analysis or strategy

So let TS first learn what he thinks is interesting. But if what points will remain incomprehensible to him, the forum members will help him.

Are these values in dollars or Bitcoin? Because depending on the form they are it is important to understand why they want to buy cryptocurrencies. The fact that you ask for advice to make a financial decision clearly demonstrates lack of notion regarding your finances! Can people provide the best for you? So, do not rush, study, do research, and avoid scams. Have goals and goals with every achievement or even defeat. Unfortunately I would be irresponsible to point out what should be purchased at beginners.

If you're a beginner you should start studying instead of gambling. Investment requires fundamental knowledge.
I'd personally make a "fake" test portfolio, start reading and follow coin progress. If things are going well, then I'd start pouring money in.

For a beginner, it will be better to invest in the most popular coins, since they are more stable in comparison with new coins that have just entered the market and in this case less risk of throwing money away.

I would suggest you invest into the cryptocurrencies that are within the top 20 cryptocurencies on coinmarketcap. I would also suggest you reduce your budget to say $500 because losing $1000 is very expensive if you would ask me. Invest an amount you can always lose in cryptocurrencies"

if I have that much money to invest then I will invest everything in bitcoin because in my opinion bitcoin still has a great chance of being able to return to a very high price and because now the price is so cheap I think now is the right time to invest in bitcoin

in my opinion, good coins are invested in beginners, namely BTC and Ethereum, both coins have a very balanced movement when prices rise and fall.

if for my advice you can choose ethereum, bitcoin, litecoin and ripple because the coins are great for beginners to get substantial profits. so don't ever buy a new altcoin if I suggest if you don't want to lose your money

For beginners, choose cheap coins in the top 10 list in coinmarketcap. I recommend XLM or TRON but if you have big capital better and of course choose bitcoin.

If you already have enough knowledge and understanding about cryptocurrency, then it is still better to invest in a well-known coin which is bitcoin. As for me, it is better for a beginner to invest in a well-established coin to get rid of regrets and uncertain losses because of a wrong decision making in the future.

For beginners, I would probably advise not to invest at all in the initial stages. It is best to study and read the actions of people who describe their actions. I am sure that it will be much more useful.

Ive never bought any coins before and am considering opening an account while the coins are low

How would you invest $1000 - 2000

Thanks
at this stage investing in a single currency will be not more convenient and the recommended for me to anyone because investing only one currency will not be trusting thing at this time so split your investment to multiply currencies for investing it will be more useful in the future also.

Don't be too quick to invest a coin for newbies because you should learn more about the crypto world for you. If you are very sure of everything you learn then you invest the type of coin that you think is profitable.

I would not risk investing in obscure coins. It seems to me that beginners will not be able to choose the right time to invest in such coins. It is best to invest in top coins.
