Ive never bought any coins before and am considering opening an account while the coins are low

How would you invest $1000 - 2000

Thanks
As a beginner, you may invest in Bitcoin as a priority and also try your hand on a good ICO such as KittieFight which is a new project and also looks very promising too.

I first heard ICO kittiefight, and after reviewing I felt it was no different than CryptoKitties. Except for upgrading the way the animals can play against each other

If you are not experienced in crypto first make some research but the safest way to invest is into top coins which are already established ones. Many coins are on high discount nowadays as the market is bearish for a while.

I think that it is too early to invest in cryptocurrencies, but when the right time comes, it is certainly worth buying Bitcoin, Ethereum, EOS, Ripple, OMG, Waves and Litecoin.

I would do a mixture of coins,  some that store value and others that you would use on a day to day basis

For starters if you want to invest without doing much research (This is not recommended by the way) then you should stick with the top 25 - 30 coins from coinmarketcap. Most of them already have a proven track record and are at fractions of their values from early last year, so any return to a bull market should secure you some decent gains.

I recommend ETH and BNB for beginners, 30 tertas coins in coinmarketcap. the price of the coin can be said to be quite stable. but if you have the courage there is nothing wrong with investing in ICO.

note: do research before investing with ICO because it is very high risk.

With your budget, you can buy a lot of coins, but most of the funds in my opinion should be spent on Ethereum and bitcoin, if you decide to start working with cryptocurrency, then you should have these coins

Buy ethereum I think this is the right choice, no doubt about this coin, as the best altcoin of course you will benefit from what you are investing now, so don't hesitate to invest in ethereumn

Ethereum is a good suggestion given that they also transition to a POS system and make the coin more scarce due to people staking their ETH.

Talking from my knowledge, it would be good to understand the concepts of trading before investing
But on the long run, buying bitcoin is the best investment

It seems to me that you do not need to go far to start, and it is best to buy Bitcoin or Ethereum, after studying the market you will be able to act more independently!

I will not say something new,but I am sure that the best way to buy this money is bitcoin (BTC),the most reliable investment.Although you can start with smaller amounts and try to see some altcoins from top 100 and their prospects, altcoins also can make very serious profit.

Your investment should be diversified. Do not invest everything in one basket even if it's for BTC or ETH. I would say have a combination of BTC and Altcoins and if you like ETH you can go for it as well.

Good POS/MN projects are good passive income source but then do select the projects with caution, in other words, do your research and only then invest your hard earned money.

Have a great day.

I would suggest you to start investing in bitcoin and ethereum while price is still affordable and worth investing. Then, wait patiently until market fully recover. Also invest now then also start practicing how to trade because it will you to gain more profit for a short period of time.

I think that if you invest, only in those coins that can survive in the long term, namely in such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, EOS, Ripple, OMG and Litecoin.

So many of the altcoins are yet to have what will get them established in the crypto market, therefore their prices fluctuate tremendously. Which then means that, you might not be able to manage them well.
So to save yourself the stress, it will be better you invest in the top coins, such as bitcoin and ethereum.

They are all lacking the same issue: demand. Most of those decentralized applications are just not needed (yet) and without demand, you know where the price will go.

For beginners, I think its best if you invest first to already established crypto like bitcoin and ethereum. From that, learn the process and know the tricks on how to earn from it. After that, you can try riskier and more complicated stuff.
