I suggest make a research & reads more article to gain you a knowledge in cryptocurrency dont put all your investment in one altcoin and make sure you know the goals of the project if it's fundamental are strong or have a good developer inside, their's many good altcoin in the market but the question is do you prefer to take the risk?

You can try eos, ethereum and bitcoin the strongest altcoin so far in the market.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

for beginners it is recommended to invest in bitcoin only. because the price is indeed still decreasing and also the risk is not as big as the other coins that are indeed quite high and you must adjust to yourself first

Beginners needs to take a less risky investment and I will agree with the suggestion.
Also, they need to study the market very well, once they fully understands it, they can then invest in a high risk coins, a low volume coins
and not popular now that they think will grow in the future, it's like finding a hidden gold and this is possible here in crypto.

Good example was this coin - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nano/
It started with almost no value but it has increased even up to over $30, this coin makes investors reach during the time of pump.

I would suggest you to learn some trading skills or learn some market analysis/fundamentals. Do not act blindly on others advice atleast you should also have some understanding of the market before investment. Study some top 30 cheap value coins then you can consider to invest in that would be the best option but due diligence before investing.

Ive never bought any coins before and am considering opening an account while the coins are low

How would you invest $1000 - 2000

Thanks

I would probably invest on ethereum because here you can ensure that someday even if you don't know when (because the market is volatile), you will get profit if you sell it. Compared to bitcoin, bitcoin's price now is relatively high not like ethereum.

As a beginner, I think it's not easy because you have to start by learning to increase your knowledge. Many coins can trap you if you can't play fast, you can lose money. And my suggestion is to buy the top 10 coins because it has a large volume.

Make sure you do your own due diligence and do not rely on the advice of anyone here, including myself. That said, I think the market will eventually split between the cryptos that make it and the rest, with the majority losing all or most of their value. I personally would not invest in any coins ranked below 50, and for beginners I think bitcoin and Ethereum make a nice core holding.

for fixed choice beginners at ethereum and the rest added with potential coin coins, this is useful to minimize losses. so I think this is something that must be considered for beginners

you can choose on what coins to invest in this site. https://coinmarketcap.com/
as you can see, the charts are all almost the same so its not that hard to choose whether to invest. I advise that you choose only on the top ten because thats the most safest altcoin close to bitcoin. It is also to prevent experimenting and end up on shitcoins or scam projects since you are still a newbie.

There are many coins in the market and you can choose one after carrying out research yourself. You can hear from others on which coins are good and which are not. To find out good coins, you can research yourself, consults with friends and crypto experts, see news about the related projects, see its team and technology. I think you can invest in All.Me token.

if you are still a beginner in the world of Cryptocurrency I suggest buying BTC, ETH and BNB tokens as a purchase for your tokens, don't rush to buy altcoins if you can't see the potential of the Altcoin, it's true if we buy altcoins we will benefit a lot, even then if you are lucky at this moment, otherwise you will feel a huge loss.

Looking at the market conditions I can't say which Coin is best to invest in. All Coin and token including ICOs are reacting heavily to the market trend.  So I would suggest you make a good research before investing

generally coin investment is very risky but coins that are already popular and have a lot of users I think this slightly reduces the impact of losses, because what I know is stable coins there may still be an opportunity to rise in price.such as ethereum, platfrom and koinya have good development I suggest you invest in ethereum.

I'll invest it all on Bitcoin this is the true cryptocurrency to me and all investors start here, you can easily liquidate it and of course we have experts predicting that it will reach 1 million in 3 years just watch Mcafee announcement that he will eat his dick if Bitcoin did not reach 1 million.

If you are considering investing in coins that are less risky with sure potential to increase then you should consider investing in coins that are in the top 100 on the coin market cap but if you are considering coins that give you higher return on investment then you should try coins very promising outside the top 100 on the coin market cap but these coins can be considered risky.
I would advise you to do your own research well before investing in any coin.

I agree this is the right decision, for starters, if you don’t have any experience and you’re not guided by what kind of Altcoin market is worth investing in Bitcoin, this is a win-win option, perhaps this is an investment for a long-term.

Beginners should start with Bitcoin.
Every person that is involved in cryptocurrencies will tell you that Bitcoin is the most safest crypto investments, we all agree on that Bitcoin will be here forever, while other altcoins are not certainty.

This is the usual advise for the new comers here in cryptocurrency. Literally this is right so if one is having a secured though it is still a high risk in investing good coins that are in the top list I suggest to invest only in BTC especially now that the BTC market price is low. So, invest in BTC instead on altcoins in the market. This is way better than investing in altcoins.

When I advised you to invest in ETH and unknown coins. Now I want to offer you to invest in ETH but also add BTC. This choice will be relevant only for long-term investments.

In my own point of view, i think to start an investment on crypto, just stick to the coins that has a good performance and good potential for long term investments like bitcoin, ethereum coin, lite coin, minero coin, and ripple.
