Draft for VP. She would be a solid pick -- will activate both women and black voters. With a historic battle to reclaim the soul of America looming this November and the peril now faced by the Coronavirus pandemic, it remains in the best interest of the Democratic Party to nominate a vice-presidential candidate who has the trust of the American people, a vision to lead our nation forward, and empathy for challenges faced by all Americans. The Committee to Draft Michelle Obama firmly believes that Ms. Obama not only can benefit the Democratic ticket this November given her status as the most trusted woman in America, but also, because of her embrace of empathic, human centered politics, can help create a Democratic Party and a country that cares for all of its people. https://www.draftmichelle.org/

She'd be great, but it seems like more of an attempt to convince her than anyone else.

Is this an Obama fan club or is she actually signing off on it? She'd be great, but it seems like more of an attempt to convince her than anyone else. Its hard to find current news on the subject because a documentary about her is being released on Netflix in a couple of days and that's cluttering Google. But apparently she's not at all fond of the idea, so I think it's out of the question. The real question when it comes to Michelle Obama is not whether she would help Biden, then, but whether she would actually be willing to be chosen for the VP slot. And all signs, still, suggest the answer to that question is a resounding "no."
In "Becoming," Obama put it bluntly: "I'll say it here directly: I have no intention of running for office, ever." Last year, in an interview with Conan O'Brien for his podcast, Obama again ruled out the possibility of running for president (or any other office) -- explaining that her time in the White House had made it impossible for her to ever be anonymous and live a "normal" life. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/04/21/politics/michelle-obama-joe-biden-vice-president/index.html

Yeah I have a feeling she's going to see this and say wtf?
Has it occurred to you there might be some reasons why all the decent candidates, both men and women, are sticking their noses up at getting involved with your operations? But that does not matter because the pre-selected Democratic VP will be the one that becomes the vested interests puppet after Biden is shoved aside, resigns or dies. There really shouldn't even be the need for a pretense about this.

Long, long way from fronting the likes of John Kennedy, Bill Clinton or Obama.

Has it occurred to you there might be some reasons why all the decent candidates, both men and women, are sticking their noses up at getting involved with your operations? Are you implying that Michelle Obama doesn't want to be considered for VP because she thinks Biden is awful? She has been pretty clear for years that she has no desire to enter the world of politics. I don't blame her. What other decent candidates are you referring to?

You know, this is the third time that you've responded with a drone-like repetition of the same exact words and phrasing, which is an attempt to direct a discussion toward predetermined ends. I suggest you think that over and consider that it may be a tactic that works with some people some times, but it's basically ridiculous. Alternately, stick to self-moderated threads?

Heh, lol. Honestly took me a second to catch it, but then it clicked. Biden has so many gaffes it's hard to remember and keep track of them. Instead of Bushism's I think we should start saying Bidenism's But I'd have to agree with TwitchySeal here, I doubt this is some long drawn out idea from everyone. Why in gods name would Michelle Obama want to be BIDENS VP -- there's really nothing there. Biden is a senile guy who I highly doubt is going to be able to drive voters to the polls. The guy isn't too interesting, and really has an enthusiasm problem with his voters.

"Supreme Court says Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg hospitalized with infection" https://apnews.com/a454d2cabfdcc00af60aebbe4aacda87(the headline is the article - can't find any other details) SCOTUS pick #3 would huge for Trump. The talking points, the drama, ect... I'm sure all the evangelicals will be praying for a speedy RGB recovery though.

If RGB goes (and theres been so many rumors for so long now) then the court is going to be pushed to the right for decades upon decades to come. I know me and you are going to disagree on the pick if there is one, though I do truly hope that RGB gets better -- I wouldn't wish death upon anyone. This is going to be insane. We'll be chatting here in the coming days as further updates come out.

She doesn't even need to show or or participate in Court activity, she only needs to not die. But it's near impossible that Trump does not get one OR TWO more justices in place before Ivanka is voted in. An ideological hard line liberal coming off the court does not move it to "the right", but to the center.

I rarely wish for people to die but RBG is one of them.. She is a fucking fraud. Nobody who's been through 3 cancers and can barely stay awake during a speech is fit to weigh on the lives of 300 million people. She should have long retired. she didn't so die and hopefully before November to be on the safe side.
In the 70's the SC was stacked with garbage to undermine to constitution, gay marriage, abortion, gun bans.. All of these are illegal in the real America.

I'm expecting another term for Trump and for him to move the court further to the right -- or to cement the fact that the court is going to have a conservative balance for the next 20 or so years. Come on guys, you can't be so conservative (or right) to the point of thinking conservative thinkers are moderates.
