I do not think ever never xrp can replace eth.
Simple words eth is the king of alts after btc.

There is no way to replace the ETH with XRP. In speed, ETH can beat the other networks but this is not acceptable for ETH network. ETH and BTC have better chance to survive than Ripple. |

Until now ethereum remains the best altcoin. with various supports, ethereum has a large community so the price of ethereum can be much more stable. I really like ethereum because it has a platform that is widely used by various projects and this is an added value because ethereum can have a very large transaction volume. |

Of course everyone knows very well how many communities and the volume given by Ethereum especially Ethereum is one of the altcoins that has stood very long but in reality we have to face price and profit problems, so we don't have to be fanatical about one coin if it doesn't give us an advantage, there's no harm in having XRP. |

First, XRP is not even a cryptocurrency, it's just a centralized premined token that has nothing to do with the main purpose of crypto: decentralization.
ETH has proven its value overtime, it has a real utility as most of ICOs are still based on erc20 platform.
True, the fact that developers of ripple say that is a cryptocurrency doesn't make it true, because as we know that is a coin that is centralized and that has very strong ties with banks, in fact ripple is similar to the coin released by the Venezuelan government with the difference that ripple is successful but that should not blind us to the truth, so between those coins it is very easy to select ethereum over ripple even if ethereum also has its fair share of problems. XRP is centralized coin no doubt about that but you seems not to understand that ripple and XRP are not the same product. Although they both belong to same person but ripple is for security and networking provider for banks etc while XRP is a centralized coin build on cryptography and it also serves as a medium of exchange. Any that posses this quality is cryptocurrency. Therefore, you and Killat are wrong when you said XRP is not cryptocurrency. But, I dont advice anyone to invest in XRP cause I dont trust much in it either and if you watch the current graph price of ETH, it have the growth with BTC which mean ETH is the best coin to invest in now. |

I like to agree with that, ETH and XRP are major coins, due it's trading volume and the success of its price. However, they have different purpose, XRP is centralized while ETH is decentralized, who would survive and be more popular in the future, that we didn't know and only thing we know is to back what coin we believe will give us profit. |

i dont think ETH can be good enough compared to XRP, XRP has so much potential to replace both ETH and BTC in the future when ETH and BTC is too old and no longer suitable for daily payment due to slow and delay transactions, and i believe it will soon rise much higher than ETH very soon. |

i dont think ETH can be good enough compared to XRP, XRP has so much potential to replace both ETH and BTC in the future when ETH and BTC is too old and no longer suitable for daily payment due to slow and delay transactions, and i believe it will soon rise much higher than ETH very soon. it takes time for xrp to grow to that size. we have to know that bitcoin and ethererum take a short time to become the most popular crypto asset now. takes extraordinary time and development. |

I wouldnt bet too much on XRP. Eg. IBM uses XLM for money transactions and already convinced 6 banks to use it, too. IBM has the contacts and market share to push XLM way further into the banking sector.

It seems that XRP in a few months the price will go up and this is only my prediction. XRP provides excellent motivation when this coin is able to pass ETH. This BTC and ETH are still very popular coins until now. But when the XRP is able to pass through ETH and it also doesn't last long. Because ETH returns to show its quality and the coin can return to number two.

Both coins has the potential of being a good quality coin, but for me, if i plan to invest, i rather choose ethereum coin since it is good on long term investment, and it has the potential to increase high percentage because it has the second most volume coin in the market, ranking second just next to bitcoin.

XRP is a pretty good altcoin. but I don't think XRP can replace bitcoin, in terms of price it is also very different, besides that we also know that bitcoin has the biggest capitalization on the market, it's impossible for XRP / ETH to replace bitcoin.

In my observation and judgment between ETH and XRP are very potential coins for long-term investment objectives. If I were you I would still choose ETH as above all. Because ETH is very popular and it is used a lot of ICOS campaign.ETH will be just behind Bitcoin so ETH is a perfect choice.

I truly believe that XRP will be eliminated from crypto currencies market, as soon as the majority of investors would understand that this coin does not belong here. Or developers will make a limited supply and I am not sure if it is possible.

I prefer Etherher, because so far the biggest one under Bitcoin is Etherum. and just like Bitcoin, Etherher is almost always on every exchanger.
