I agree with you, about bitcoin, bitcoin is best for ever and now if he buy and hold it for a year, definitely he will get profit from it and if you use his money in exchange with other coins then he should do take right decision and firstly he should get information for coins, Otherwise, it is hard to earn profit from different coins. So for him, bitcoin is best just buy it and wait it.

Yeah to me as well, It seems as the person has no experience with coin, but I think it is not wrong thing is he is asking us to give our suggestions, it is good to make research and you will find the coin more promising that I am gonna suggest your which is bitcoin for sure bitcoin is the best coin to buy for one year as price is low and recently has started to rise so in 2020 i can see a bright future.

In my opinion 1 year has not provided a guarantee that you will profit, even though what you buy is a top of marketcap like Bitcoin or Ethereum, you remember the price from 2017 to 2018 actually weakens. if you intend to hold, then hold up to 4 years or more, you can buy coins at top marketcap and guarantee profits to you.

I have the same problem before. I didn't know where to invest but after doing some research and based on my observation, it's better to invest in a well-established coin so I invested in bitcoin. I think it's better to trust the strongest and a coin with the biggest potential.

Holding is not waste of time but it gives good result at the end, right now I only chose bitcoin to buy for one year because I have seen in 2016 price was low then in 2017 it made really huge profit for investors then in 2018 it was low and dump year but now again we are hoping for the best in 2019 I am sure price will rise higher and we will make profit.

In my opinion, if I were you, I would have thought about what to buy couple of months ago when it was the bear market and when Bitcoin was pretty down. That was the best time for speculation. Right now, if you can, speculate in Bitcoin and ETH. Both of them would be quite heavy in days to come so do not miss the opportunity and make the most out of it.

Still, it is not too late to buy and hold bitcoins as experts are speculating about $14k (as fair value for bitcoin) and most people are expecting at least $10k in coming months. Hence, now also we may take a concrete decision of buying but with the intention of long term holding will benefit big in coming years.

In my opinion you should choose some undervalue coins for investment. Cause you can expect big profits from undervalue coins. If you hold them for one years then you will get upto 10x.

Buy coins which are in the top 50 ranking in the coinmarketcap. Buy cheap coins that when the bull run starts you will cash out and profit more of your invested capital. Those coins in the top 50 has big volume which are can easily move to your target hit but set it at 5 to 10%. More than that percentage will make it longer to hit.
