I.e imagine you want to buy a car of one million naira, that means as an individual, you have to wait for good 10 weeks to complete a transfer of just only one million naira (#100k weekly). Too bad.
Mate, the policy e no dey like dat. Na only cash withdrawal is limited to 20k on ATM while inside Bank is 100k or individuals but for organizations and companies can withdraw from 500-1m. Apart from the daily cash withdrawal limit. You can transfer any amount of money to another person through e-transaction. My persn, e be like you no put eye down well for d image way Obari post o. I ho encourage you to look am again so, I I quite am for here. Yes na true say, daily withdrawal for pos or ATM machine na 20k but, even over the counter way be 100k, that na maximum for a week base. Person way withdrawal 20k for 5days in a week and person way go counter go withdraw 100k in a day, e don exhaust en weekly withdrawal chance as well. The target still carry say, you no gats pass 100k withdrawal in a week, either na pos o, ATM machine abi na for counter as far as na individual account you dey deal with. I don repaste the image make we read am slowly to see the emphasis on weekly.

Nothing dey wrong there with paying extra charge or na because say dem ask you na him make u dey reason am? Man must find way survive, na there own choppings be dat. You forget say you dey pay extra charge steady anything you use your bank do transfer or recieved transfer or na because bank no need your permission to collect that one na him make you no dey reason am? Also @Coyster e get one reply you give me wey I dun forget where e dey to quote am but make I tell you. You can withdraw as much as you want but there's a charge. This POS businesses them need go register with government so them fit dey pay tax, we aren't paying taxes enough in Nigeria especially all this small small business wey government for use the hold body. All this policy go help enforce that. The POS operators can withdraw more than the minimum and pay charges then continue their business. By the time dey dun pay those charges wella, e go wey dem and them go increase withdrawal charges, this one go enforce people to go cashless since dem dey claim say dem get coconut head. Personally I no fit remember when last I buy something with cash, all my activities this year has been cashless. E no hard to run am.

I know that one boss, and if to say you find the post wey i bin quote you, you go see say i talk am there, but that charge no be here oh, imagine say person wan withdraw 600k for example, e go pay 10% tax on it, which is 60k, no person go fit do that na, na business e they do, abi e come make loss By the time dey dun pay those charges wella, e go wey dem and them go increase withdrawal charges, this one go enforce people to go cashless since dem dey claim say dem get coconut head.
Lol, this one they too, the charge go they mahd if they are to cover wetin them bin pay as charge for bank, so na wetin i they talk here since say PoS service go they affected, i don check am critically, the policy get advantages, especially in the long run, that post wey i quote you, i just bin wan correct wetin you talk say PoS no go they affected, na must, e go kick them out of business for sure, all of us fit agree on that one. Personally I no fit remember when last I buy something with cash, all my activities this year has been cashless. E no hard to run am.
Me too, personally i no get any issues with the new policy oh, and long run e fit they beneficial for our economy if we fit begin produce stuffs locally, but that is btw; in the last two years me sev never hold like 50k or 100k cash for my hand, i never feel that kind amount in a very long time, meaning me sev don they cashless for a very long time now, i only leave my house with my TP to where i they go and my ATM card.

Yes, I experienced d same tin in one super market in my area were I bought some goods to pay with my ATM card, hoping that, there will not be charge over the goods but I discovered they charged me #100 for the #7000 goods I bought from Dem, that made me feel bad at the moment. Assume our banks are active in our country, i don't see what will make me to use ATM card in the supermarket because the supermarket owner suppose be the one to be responsible for the tools use in the supermarket.

CBN d do everything in their power to make our currency appreciate for value against dollar. If this can make our naira come alive again. I support am

Bro e no suppose to be so ooo. I guess say no be your first time to dey use POS to dey pay for services so why you know ask yourself why this wan cone be different? D thing wey really happen be say the waitress use una head collect N100. At the end of the day she fit get like 1k or more from customers. She probably don watch una, dey way una present una self say una be big boys... But one dey e go cast. You know say all this money is been credited directly into the company's account but no be everyone go pay with POS, some go use cash, so na their she go collect the money or she fit collect wetin them dey sell at that price.

- How could Bitcoin help in your specific situation in Nigeria?
Personally, Bitcoin has been of tremendous help to me, not only has it changed my financial life, but my attitude towards finance generally, it has given me the mindset of upholding decentralization and privacy. The Nigerian government, just like every other government loves control, but with Bitcoin i've been able to control a fraction of my finance without worrying about censorship or other whatnots. - Could Bitcoin give Nigerians a new way of life?
Of course, Nigerians are intelligent and resourceful people, so the idea of Bitcoin and fintech generally has been embraced so well within our shores, and despite the fact that we are the leading adopters in Africa now, we still expect the adoption rate in Nigeria to go higher, and for Bitcoin to provide more opportunities for Nigerians. - What do you find particularly appealing regarding Bitcoin technology?
Decentralization - Could you imagine a better future using Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is definitely a long term project, one that is sustainable because it has an actual utility, if governments around the world can reduce the rate at which they attack Bitcoin, then i can see a future with Bitcoin being a well acceptable alternative to fiat currencies. - Are there already plenty of people in Nigeria who use Bitcoin?
Yes there are, but not at the level of mass adoption; and it is used majorly for trading and speculation, there are actually limited merchants that accept Bitcoin in Nigeria, so many people can't use it yet as a medium of exchange. - How is the Nigerian government responding to the increased Bitcoin use?
They aren't responding favorably thus far, but it isn't basically peculiar with the Nigerian government, many other foreign governments are not responding well to Bitcoin use in their country too. Well, the Nigerian government no longer allows banks process crypto transactions from exchanges (reason why p2p is popular amongst Nigerians), that is so far their biggest attack on the network, but i believe with time the Nigerian government will come good towards Bitcoin.

Let's kick out bad government for naija and no be by talk but na by action. This na correct update sha atleast people wey never get their hands on their own go don know through this means or me self fit tell people for my locality about the pvc update. Omo election don close well well o and many Nigerians dis time around can boast for themselves that they are actually going out to vote their propose president in their minds inrespectful of the money that they will be given that day and even the government sef deh try to see if all this small coded wey you dey talk comot totally by maybe even turning the whole funds withdrawal system to a cashless one. On that day many tinx go sup wella but we Nigerians, make we make sure say we try vote who dey our mind even if den give u bribe, no be when we collect dat small change den come suffer again for 4years before we get chance to make impact to the change of government.

Abegy my people make una take this news serious. CBN d do everything in their power to make our currency appreciate for value against dollar. First na changing of naira notes, limiting day and weekly transactions and now they don come up with this one. Just within 2months to the end of this present tenure. Anyway, dem don try. If this can make our naira come alive again. I support am
Misplaced priority, wetin concern spraying of Naira to the price deprecating. When dem no go focus energy on wetin dey important na things like dis we go dey see. Them no know say dem dey destroy the job of minters. First na POS and now this, instead of carrying jobs them dey destroy the ones we been dey use hold body. Them dun implement cashless policy dat one never do them. After all the surfer we dey go through, the small things wey dey give us joy them wan take that one too. Spraying at occasion is a way of life of a typical Nigeria and that shoudn't be taken away. They're better ways to tackle this whole thing and that's taking Nigerians from a consumption nation to a productive one and not implementing laws everywhere. Na those laws we go chop? Your people dey surfer and the best the government can come out with is laws like this and say they have done their best. The APC government is the worst thing to ever happen to Nigeria and hopefully they don't come back in 2023 because it'll be deadly.

All Nigeria government does is to worsten things for the common man. All these ones wey dem dey do,e no go affect them o because if na cashless policy, them politicians go still dey spray money and go even dey carry large sum of money waka. If u check CBN rules, dem say anything above the daily limit, you go pay some percentage and these bastard politicians go pay all those charge fee becos money dey.
Imagine, spraying of money is the fun in dancing and dem say make e no dey but dem go spray money o. Nigeria government na dem be the people wey bible talk about wey go put law but no go ever obey the law. I believe say as a Nigeria man,we no dey fit do anything na to just dey complain we fit dey complain, we go still find alternative way to do our normal things. Na only God go give us help us for naija with dumb ass government.

I would be happy to answer these questions:
- How could Bitcoin help in your specific situation in Nigeria? - Could Bitcoin give Nigerians a new way of life? - What do you find particularly appealing regarding Bitcoin technology? - Could you imagine a better future using Bitcoin? - Are there already plenty of people in Nigeria who use Bitcoin? - How is the Nigerian government responding to the increased Bitcoin use?
First of all you are welcome to naija. The bitcoin dominating City in Africa. I don't know what kind of project you are embarking on. But there is harm in this research. These are my views on your questions 1. Bitcoin has helped me in particular to stabilize my life and cost of living. After the university education, the government could not provide job for the graduates so I key into bitcoin investment as a friend of mine introduced me to it. And I am doing well even in the bear market. And the future is brighter with bitcoin. 2. Of course, those who are serious and patient with bitcoin always have new life. Bitcoin is not a get quick rich investment but it is a long term system because of the bear markets, so those who can endure change their narratives. 3. Well bitcoin is a digital currency which is used to exchange goods (assets) and services online that out of authorities control (decentralized payment system). 4. As it is stated in 1 and 2, the future with bitcoin is bright. 5. From my introduction, Nigeria is the bitcoin dominant city in Africa. Therefore the population of users of bitcoin in Nigeria is uncountable upon the ban. 6.well there are different propaganda circulating the media that Nigerian Government is planning to tran the youth on cryptocurrencies. That means there is a pre-planned adoption of bitcoin. Thanks! This helps me quite a lot and that's how I am able to write an article about the situation in Nigeria
- Which circumstances contributed to increased bitcoin usage in Nigeria? - What do you think about the E-Naira? 2 more questions have emerged. I would be happy for another reply, but I'm already super grateful for what I have. There seems to be an awesome Bitcoin community in Nigeria! I am trying to onboard German people to Bitcoin technology, who care about sustainability and human rights. Those people should see what big implications money has and what Bitcoin could do for us. Would you mind sending me a private message? 1. The circumstances that increased the uses of bitcoin in Nigeria is the endsars protest, unemployment, and bitcointalk forum etc 2. E-naira was established after the ban of bitcoin in the country, and the youth didn't use it. And if this cashless policy finally established in Nigeria, the youth will still use bitcoin p2p more because the e-naira is centralized exchange system.

Could you imagine a better future using Bitcoin? For those who actually own Bitcoin those who have seen two possibilities of Bitcoin would agree that there is a brighter future with Bitcoin. And he has no doubt about it. - Are there already plenty of people in Nigeria who use Bitcoin? Are there plenty people using Bitcoin in Nigeria? I would see that Bitcoin is popular among the teeming youths in the country. What do I mean by this? 7 out of 10 youth have heard about Bitcoin while 5 out of 10 youth own Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. This is not from a pool but from my experience as a Nigerian living in Nigeria.. How is the Nigerian government responding to the increased Bitcoin use?
The only way the Nigerian government responded to the use of Bitcoin is by creating their own digital currency which flopped on arrival. They also ban Banks from transacting in cryptocurrency.
