Several forks of bytecoin have been launched - this type of keys would have surely been mentioned somewhere already.

The basics of the whole philosophy of cryptonote and bytecoin is decentralization and anonimity - there cannot be such a thing as a secret key to destroy coins.

And if it's not trolling again, could you provide some proof that you have old coins? What are those "teams"? Is there any principle behind them? How do you communicate with your "team"?

there were already services where you could spend some bytecoins but just like team websites there were all on deep web.. those teams are the info sources on the news from other teams and the devs

This cryptonote's website look similar to cryptonote.org. It has a little bit more scientific language and a lot of formulas, but the content is almost the same as the current website. What's more, there is a CryptoNote whitepaper dated back from December 2012. Hm.

Yes, copyright is from 2013. Apparently they’ve abandoned it and created a new one, more public oriented.

I have one question though, who on Earth puts "v1" on the first version of the whitepaper when there is no second version yet?

This pdf is validated by Nick van Saberhagen’s public key. Pgp keys from cryptonote.org and from this “for” website are the same. File’s signatures are different. But you can validate both v2 and v1 with Nick’s key. After all site looks real. Bytecoin’s story breakthrough?

In terms of price, both scenarios are damning:

1) If 80% of the coins still circulate, the potential for dumping on new-arrivals is massive. Who would touch BCN for investment when dumpers are waiting? The assurance of "ok we'll not dump on you"?

2) If 80% of the coins are destroyed by some secret way, trust to the currency is zero.
