anybody seen this or now how to resolve?

OMG! Have never seen. Man, sorry, can't help you. I usually try to refresh daemon and it works for me every time I have problems with connection. As far as I remember I only have problems when I installed bin files on my PC

Hello,

I was going through and Bytecoin (BCN) has been submitted to Coins Source. So i'm in the process of reviewing BCN.

I would greatly appreciate a Bytecoin logo (Just the symbol) that's in a dark color and is at least 200px in width and height, ideally 300x300 BCN symbol image.

Send the logo to: coins@coinssource.com or hop in www.coinssource.com, chat in lower right corner.

Thank you!

Why isnt the real bytecoin (this one) on coinmarketcap?

Hmm... good question. It would actually be helpful for new potential members to know its market cap  and available supply.

That site lists DRK above both BCN and XMR.

Not as unbiased as it would seem Grin. I love it, even if we're still using the "premine" buzzword instead of making conjecture. Excellent work.

It hasn't appeared in the http://www.coinssource.com/crypto-currency-markets/

Hopefully they will include it in that list as well or at least in the top 25 popular coins

Bytecoin difficulty has reached its highest value ever: 45,183,198 and steadily growing every hour.
Even on poloniex no one is selling for less than 0.06 per Mil. BCN and there are buy orders for over 10BTC ranging from 0.02 to 0.05 per Mil. no one is taking.

This is a great sign for investors Smiley

My guess is that some part of the BCN community knows that something serious is coming up and they are silently mining as much as possible.
This is probably related to the email DStrange has posted earlier:

Monero Development Supporting Pool - Low 0.8% Fee + 0.2% Donation to Monero development, 24/7 Monitoring.

No doubt, something is coming. Devs promised to add new applications to BCN. I am sure that if there's gonna be some apps they's be great. What if after making gui miner they'd made it possible to mine by phone?

I am sure they are going to bring gui wallet to make it easier in use for new members.

I was at Bitcoin London Conf in 2012 and went to have a beer with friends to the nearest pub last evening. I met a guy there (don't remember his name. something like Jeff or John, maybe).
He told me about ring signatures and mentioned something about CryptoNote. I felt interested and tried to ask him for more details. He was with a company too(10 or 12 people meetup) so our conversation was rather short. We chatted a bit and he gave me a card with .onion website address. He said it would be a currency of the future and I had to mine it.
Your BCT account looks suspiciously like one of the ones that was sold after the bct hacks last year.

Do you have the onion address you were given? Do you still have the bytecoin wallet?

----

We all know there is a lot of secrecy around ByteCoin and that it was a project by respected cyberpunks and academics all around the world. The code on github and philosophy around the project says enough.. Why you want proof with a onion address?? Dont you believe more people where involved instead of a small team..

One example is the extra nonce and all the messages included, did someone fake all that data? I dont know but its pretty clear to me that the project was created as a framework for the future. Another example about the quality; the timestamp of the genesis block.

ps. one extra nonce i did not find in the excell sheet, the one as solution from a puzzle.

My 2 mBTC

Despite bcn surfaced only in march,2014  and all these secrecy around devs a lot of people see potential in it and continue mining it, however, there are bcn forks already.

Futhermore, I think its gonna get new miners as soon as there'd be added new applications.

UPD: Here's the file if you want to have a look https://anonfiles.com/file/a6a540eeb9b5fb8be89460951457a9fb
This proves exactly nothing.
Unless we crack the password and find 100M inside the wallet (or 0).
BTW, beware with this site. There are some malware links.

Unless... in this case someone is lucky to find out the password that would change his/her balance and, furthermore, would make this situation clear. Let's try our luck? ! Cheesy

Have anyone tried ?

Now news from wildboy... it's a pity

Just begun to mine it on minergate and I have a noob question - how to get coins out of minergate  ? I've tried to transfer coins to my wallet from minergate but unsuccessfully

On Poloniex you need your Payment ID but there is no Payment ID on minergate.
