Truth be told. You can't be jobless and be doing bounties. You will starve  Grin

My advice is to just see bounties as a pass time and don't be too expectant. Find some other job that gives you money. So many factors determine if you will get good rewards from bounties. For instance, when it lists, the price is out of the control of the team (unless they decide to do a buyback which rarely happens). The price of the token can rise if there is a lot of demand for it when it lists. But most times (since the bear run) the demand is low and to make it worse, several holders set ridiculously low prices just to sell off which devalues the coin.

Another factor that determines your reward is the authenticity as well as the success of the team and its project. Many campaigns have closed down in the past after several months of working on them only to announce that they failed to raise enough funds for the project. Worse case is the team devs exit scam and no one gets paid.

Project owners can also decide to execute their "reserved rights" by changing the rules at the end of successful campaigns. Rules changes can usually mean bounty rewards are reduced, locked, subjected to uninformed KYC checks, or distributed over a very long period of time.

If you consider all this then you will see that bounty campaigns are a gamble and cannot be always relied on to provide regular income for people participating in it. Those that participated in Deex bounty campaign (which ended in January 2019) are still waiting for their rewards (3 months after) and the devs are not communicating any date for the distribution. If you ask them they will say "soon". They have been saying "soon" since January, by the way. I'm not trying to slander the project or anything. I'm just advising fellow bounty hunters to try to get something else to do that will fetch them money and not to rely too much on bounty campaigns for payments.

Well, you're right, the only thing is that in some countries the minimum wage in a job is often equivalent to a reward of 1 week in any campaign that is done, many colleagues have told me that some campaigns is greater than what is they earn in 1 month of salary, and they earn it in 1 week. They are relatively poor countries, where mostly any job does not cover the full needs of food and quality of life that every person deserves.

Yeah bounty hunting is not recommended to be a full-time job, because the risk is too high now compared three years ago where all your campaign is sure to give you a profit, once the ICO is finished  for several months of a campaign, now you are just working for a few pennies

If I ask, I would prefer to find a better and more stable job than a bounty hunter because of the fact that bounty hunters do not provide good benefits after promoting their projects. So it is better to prioritize work but do not leave bounty hunter because it's good to be a bounty hunter if good projects are good to be hardworking to earn.

It is ridiculous for anyone wanting to base all of his/her income generation on bounties. A kind of decision such as this would have been great, if this were to be 2017 when ICO projects did remarkably well. The reality of the now makes it suicidal to make such unscrupulous decision

Several people have made themselves rich through bounties. This is during the time period of 2016-2017, and it continued until it reached ath. After that each and every altcoins and the the bounties got started to decline in value, and that too in a much large scale. Once again getting to be rich through bounties is really difficult till the market once again turns to be similar to the 2017 bull market.

In 2016 and 2017 we didn't need the real job, we could easily manage to survive our lives with crypto bounties without going to the work. I used to make more than 10 times monthly money in bounties than the normal job would pays me. Everything was just perfect until January 2018. The bounty hunting business has finished after that and %90 Project failed and wwe never get our coins. Today i am working in some regular job, cryptos no longer enough for my living..

Well, we can't leave our jobs just because we got a high paying bounty.
Some bounty can take 1 - 12 Month depended on the manager and the project itself. Also, the bounty reward is random, you can't ensure that you will always get a high paying bounty Grin

Bounty may be an additional job for those who have worked. And it can be the main job for some people, for example students. So back to the needs and concerns of each. But if you are an adult, you should look for your main job and make a bounty of part-time work.

It's impossible to just give a universal answer on that.

Not everybody who works for bounties does this via traditional bounty platforms or bounty rewards.
I work for bounties, but I broker my own deals, it's called freelance work Wink

Companies just pay me upfront and I do work for them. I also get paid in tokens as a bonus.
And yes, I do make a good living out of that, whether we're in a bear market or not...

I think during the market highs your statement would be untrue. Many people were living off of bounties due to the price but of course it's not a stable method of income. We should all try to have productive jobs regardless  Smiley

Bounty hunting could be a full time job for any one that is unemployed or underemployed. It would be more beneficial if a high ranking account is employed for the bounty hunting. People make sufficient funds to pay their bills from investing their time into bounty hunting.

I totally agree with you in this one bro.. I've created a similar topic here in this thread before.. we seem to have a high number of jobless adults participating in bounty campaigns thinking it's some sort of full time job for them.. but this is completely wrong.. save up enough money.. get a private business for yourself or go search for a job.. bounty hunting cannot be a full time job

You are right about this. You can't treat bounties as a full time job not even in this bear market when bounties rarely pay and even those that pay do not command good price on the exchange. It is better to have a good job that guarantees stable source of income and do bounties as a side hustle.
No doubt in it. Bounties are exclusively amazing part of crypto world that pay you better amounts for work. Yet, due to up and downs in market, the bounties are affected directly. Henceforth, it is not mostly advice to go for bounties as full time job. People mostly take it on part time. In bear markets, they aren’t mostly helpful and paying you very least ratios. But bull market is healthier otherwise.

I agree with your opinion but bounty payments can't be same as monthly salary. Maybe bounty managers can get the amount for making a life but bounty hunters need to do as twice as the job of bounty manager in order to get paid the same amount that required for living. Btw, the minimum salary amounts are not same in every part of the world.

Bounty is not the main job, don't expect bounty will make you rich. although a few years ago the bounty gave a lot of money but that moment happened only once in 2017.

Truth be told. You can't be jobless and be doing bounties. You will starve  Grin
You must realize that there are probably an abundance of bitcointalk members who are already starving and the income from these bounties perhaps provides them with just enough money to eat.  There are some very poor countries where $1 USD stretches 10 times or more than it does in its origin country, the United States.  And if you are perplexed that such members resort to creating multiple accounts for the purpose of enrolling in as many bounties as they can manage, you shouldn't be.

The work opportunities that ICOs provide are harmful sometimes, to be sure.  But let's face it, if you're unemployed with no skills and a hungry family to feed, doing signature campaigns and translations and social media promotions has to be a godsend, and one would be either insane or too pride filled to refuse to do them.

Bounty is not the main job, don't expect bounty will make you rich.
I doubt most bounty hunters expect to become wealthy from their earnings.  More likely is that they convert the tokens they earn to bitcoin, which they can either spend or convert to fiat.  These are not true believers in bitcoin.  It is just a means to an end for most of them.

People make sufficient funds to pay their bills from investing their time into bounty hunting.
Some of them, I am sure.  Attaining a high rank here is much more difficult nowadays because of the merit system.  That's a stumbling block for the vast majority of them.

joining a bounty campaign is my side job and is useful for leisure time. before working in the bounty campaign I already had a professional job as a security. to fulfill my daily needs I always rely on salaries from security guards. I cannot rely on salaries from bounties as the main income. because the payment from the bounty is uncertain. but sometimes there are also many salaries from bounty when the ICO project that I follow is successful.
Yup that’s the same thing with me, I don’t rely on them as my main job, I have another job I’m doing. I work in an office and I also have a business doing (I have a shop and I have people employed to be working there). Cryptocurrency is the third thing I’m into and I don’t put much stress in it, it’s just like having fun for me. I can invest any money in it and leave it for as long as I want. No one should put all their hopes in cryptocurrency especially now that they take long to make payment.

Jobless people need to find a job for feeding themselves and their family otherwise they need a monthly payment from another source. Freelance jobs are better than working as a bounty hunter who doesn't know the date amount of payment.
