I think so too, slowly many investors will realize how stupid they are to choose shitcoin in their portfolio. It won't take long for shitcoin to die because they won't have any idea to attract us into them.
Shitcoin is something that needs to be ignored and there is no need to put hope in it let alone be interested in it and I also agree with what you said even though I won't immediately say someone who chooses Shitcoin is stupid because maybe he still doesn't know about Bitcoin so he is really wrong with his choice. Now all investors must be smart when they want to choose an investment and as is already clear at this time, of course Bitcoin is an asset that is quite worthy to be owned by every investor.

Quote
I think bitcoin is number 1 to be used as an investment for old age, bitcoin will be adopted by many countries in the next 10 years. Fiat will disappear and bitcoin will dominate it. For beginners, don't be afraid to invest in bitcoin because bitcoin is the best choice compared to other assets.
I don't think fiat will immediately disappear from the face of the earth except only about how to use it and also its value in everyone's life. And for Bitcoin I also have the idea that over time it will continue to become more well-known because its holders continue to increase significantly. So the potential for adoption by most countries in the world can also be possible considering the growth of users in Bitcoin itself which is already increasing at this time.

Let's be honest
A person who's only concerned about the dip should be considered a trader
An investor doesn't just wait for the dip
They have a target and a plan in making their investment.
Pick a project(Bitcoin) you trust with a great future and accumulate rather than waiting for dip to sell the top.
Yes once the dip comes buy not because is a dip but an opportunity to get cheaper especially if you have the spare funds.
I agree with you a hundred percent, trading involves looking for opportunities to enter into the market and make profits with some strategies and that is the same with waiting for the dip only to purchase Bitcoin, especially for a newbie in Bitcoin or someone who is presumingly in his accommodation journey. He would lose out on precious time and opportunities to accumulate a decent amount before the dip eventually comes by, if it actually comes within the span of time he waits.

The dip is an added advantage to those who are already in their accommodation journey and have more discretionary income available to them. It is not bad for example, I'm DCAing $100 weekly consistently and I've another $2k or more kept aside expecting the dip, when the dip eventually comes by, I already have a very decent amount accumulated and I have another added advantage to purchase more at much lower prices, thereby boosting my portfolio. You can see for yourself that I've gained on two sides. The dip is an advantage that investors benefit from and not an accumulation strategy that we all should fold our hands and wait for, thereby neglecting the powerful impact of the slow and steady process that DCA presents us.

Of course It is best not to involve your own precious capital in risky investments. You should definitely choose Bitcoin if you are interested in investing as it has a very promising return on investment capital. Before investing in bitcoins you can choose a particular period of time irrespective of the value like 4-10 years and during this period the bitcoins must be deposited at regular intervals and it can be weekly or monthly. For long-term Bitcoin deposits, you should have a backup fund to keep your investment safe.

You must be smart when it comes to investing or else you cannot keep pace with today's world. Investing in Bitcoin right now can be a smart investment if you have a stack and can hold it for a long time as the price of Bitcoin will soon enter a bullish period.

A good pattern, not a chart pattern but the pattern you say. Hitting the buy button is the best among many strategies available today.
Investors will be successful in accumulating lots of bitcoins because they are diligent in hitting the buy button.

Bitcoin investment is the best compared to shitcoin. I am not sure how much has been lost by buying shitcoin. They should be aware of themselves to buy Bitcoin today.

I'm VERY confident that most of those cryptocurrencies that are not Bitcoin will simply die and/or become irrelevant after two or three decades. That's also how long your time-preference be for your Bitcoin investments in my personal opinion.
I think bitcoin is number 1 to be used as an investment for old age, bitcoin will be adopted by many countries in the next 10 years.
Yeah Bitcoin wil be adopted by many countries all over the world. recently On Aug 15 Dubai court recognized bitcoin assets as a valid means of salary payment, Dubai has adopted it as a means of salary for worker here. El Salvador use bitcoin as their legal tender also. and this will increase as time goes on and many more will adopt bitcoin. just that most people are not fully aware about what bitcoin is, and most  people are due to wrong speculation. and most countries have not taken a bold step to make it their legal tender. But I believe as bold step have started from this two countries I believe more countries will emulate.

Fiat will disappear and bitcoin will dominate it. For beginners, don't be afraid to invest in bitcoin because bitcoin is the best choice compared to other assets.
Although Bitcoin may be the best choice but that doesn't mean fiat system will totally be eliminated. Both are very important. Bitcoin was not created to eliminate fiat system, but to be use as an alternative to fiat or banking system, or as a way of proving decentralization to be real/true. and how important it will function in terms of being fast, reliable and effective through online payment system and a great store of value.

No big deal about Bitcoin investment, the thing is if you can wait and save up money with you knowing that there is assurance of that money growing despite all negatives that will occur with the investment as you the years goes then Bitcoin investment is for you but if you know you are not good in waiting and expecting some kind of miracle to happen maybe you wake up one thing within a short period of investment and discover your investment blow overnight then you are probably with the wrong investment.

Bitcoin investment doesn't require much just
1. Patience
2. Available funds (not huge but steady)
3. Positive mindset (strategy included)

There are more but I think all fall under these three .

These are definitely one of the strategies to hold Bitcoin investment, here are some more strategies you can add. Since it is better to hold bitcoins for a long time it is better to use a wallet that is strong. The longer you hold bitcoins, the more you will improve and the less risk you will have.
Bitcoin investing usually involves the greatest tolerance for risk, so these two factors play the biggest role in whether you invest for the long term (strong wallet and risk tolerance). So surely a person following a standard DCA system should follow these mile boards.

One beautiful thing about the bitcoin market is that it always presents itself with a lot of opportunities for investors to join, it doesn’t matter how far people have gone with their accumulation process, if you’ve made up your mind to start your investment journey in bitcoin, it will give you an opportunity to buy more when you least expect it. The only thing you should focus more on is to have a disposable income you can spare to invest into the market weekly, monthly or any duration that suits you more. Having a separate funds after the discretionary amount you put into bitcoin is a good idea to buy at the dip. It’ll help you get to buy more at a lower price. Most investors fade on this, but the wise ones are always on stand by to take advantage of the market at anytime it comes.

Quote
A person that chase the dip would get anxious if they buy the dip and more dips comes popping some might choose to quickly sell to buy cheaper especially when bloggers start posting what they know nothing about.
Alas after selling it might be too late.
Wishing for a dip, doesn't mean it would come
Try to DCA smartly. Especially if you a nocoiner or haven't accumulated enough.

This is pure gambling and is not an etiquette of an investor of bitcoin. If you want to go into bitcoin using this method to get quick profit, it’ll be better you focus more on trading, in fact short term trading (scalping) is better used to address such person more. DCA does not teach that and anyone that does that is just risking their money and they may eventually lose everything in the process. DCA is a seamless and easy strategy that when utilised well, investors can enjoy their profit later.

Honestly, those sets of people that always want to buy the dip, I view them as short-term holders, which I see as traders. They always have the intention of selling in a short period of time. But for anyone that is ready to hold their Bitcoin for a very long period of time, I don't think they should have that type of mindset. This type of mindset can hold someone back from investing in Bitcoin. It has happened to many people, all just because they wanted to buy Bitcoin at a cheaper rate. They are still waiting for the Bitcoin price to drop to $20k. They saw it and refused to buy at that time because of the mindset of always waiting for a dip. In fact, many have even wasted the money in other ways.

Instead of someone chasing dips, they can think wisely and start using the method of DCA. Many of them should be in a grateful stage by in few months to come because once someone starts using the DCA method, they will eventually discover that they have accumulated a reasonable amount of Bitcoin between some months. It would be better if people stopped waiting for a dip, as we don't know exactly when it will happen, and instead focused on the DCA method, which allows them to buy Bitcoin at different prices.

You are absolutely right but I think people who are concerned about the Dip shouldn't be consider as a trader perhaps the only way we can justify this is if they buy at the Dip and sell due to slight increase in the market, I know there are people who call themselves investors yet they practice the above said statement and there are also investors who buy's at the Dip and don't sell in a short while so this is why we can't just consider people who buy's at the Dip as traders. But those who's trying to practice that... Are some times the people who panics because they invest during the Dip hoping to see a slight increase in the price so that they can pull out which is not a nice way to go about Bitcoin because it can cause problem, just imagine where someone use huge amount of money to buy Bitcoin during the Dip hoping for an uptrend and unfortunately the price Dip more don't you think this can make one to be frustrated and it can even make one to say negative things about Bitcoin.

I believe that people who are new to the cryptocurrency field wait for a dip before investing. To be honest, I don't blame those who wait for the price to fall before investing, some people wait for the price to drop because they don't have enough money to hodl for a long period, and they can only buy the dip and sell when the market rises. Again, it depends on the encouragement one receives before beginning an investment; the person who teaches them about trading may encourage them to buy when the price drops, so many people may believe that it is too risky to accumulate at a high price.

Waiting for a dip is risky for short-term investors because if the price of the asset they own continues to fall, they will eventually lose their investment. However, using the DCA method is the smartest choice to buy at any moment since the buyer will not be afraid to accumulate more because it provides a big return.

I can conclude the point you made because I know your intention is to direct all your ideas for long-term investment.

Well for me buying in dips is certainly good in the investment journey they are doing. Some also immediately buy at once with the money they have and that is not a wrong action because they want to have bitcoin quickly, the important thing is that they continue to follow up on purchases throughout their investment journey.

On the other hand, an approach is also very much needed in navigating the investment journey because the stronger your determination to make Bitcoin an asset that is continuously purchased, the more you will be able to control your emotions when price changes occur.

If at the end point you say someone can become frustrated because the price drops, then I conclude that someone does not have a strong mentality so that he makes a mistake in the middle of the road. To anticipate this, it is better to start with a smaller value in the accumulation stage, for example $ 10 and over time it can be increased to be larger if the mentality is ready to face feelings of worry.

Buying the dips doesn't make you a trader in anyway from my perspective of bitcoin investment but if you wait only for the dips before you enter the market you're probably becoming a trader but perhaps if targeted for a long term investment it's probably not going to be considered trading.
Fact: The major difference between a trader and someone who buys only the dips is the fact that traders lack the patience to leave their bitcoins for a long period of time, once their is a little increase in price of bitcoin they begin to panic sell whereas those who buy the dips only for a discount purpose do not sell at the point where traders would probably consider to sell.

So buying the dips doesn't make one a trader there are other factors that makes one a trader.
Additionally, if one has examine him/her self based on the 9 individual factors and has decided to practice only buying the dips its not a problem to me because it's based on their cash flow and every other factor that makes one only want to invest in the dips but perhaps the major reason I don't enjoy buying only the dips is the fact that one dip that you could miss considering or wondering if it could dip more might be the last opportunity to buy in discount so it because more risky when you only invest during the dips that's why DCA is probably preferable over buying the dips because you rarely miss opportunities as you are stacking consistently.

Yea, I agree with you that investors who buy at the dip are not traders because traders are always ready to sell their bitcoin when they see a little profit in the market. But there are some investors who are only focused on buying at the dip because their bitcoin portfolio has reached a certain level that if they wait to buy at the dip, they will be able to acquire a good amount bitcoin in discount price that will give a significant increase to their bitcoin portfolio and these set of investors are still hodling their bitcoin without thinking of selling a dime because they know the potential of bitcoin and have the belief that bitcoin value will increase more in future.

This is why not all investors that are waiting for the dip are traders. However, new investors should not bother of waiting for the dip because it is not an ideal practice of starting your bitcoin journey but use DCA which gives you the opportunity to buy bitcoin weekly at different price intervals.

Technically you are not right at this because there are investors which may have gotten to their maintenance level in their bitcoin accumulation journey that can also decide to be only be practicing buying the dip because they don't need much of buying frequently anymore using the DCA, but can as well make use of reserve funds and buy the dip only. However, those that still have a long way to go in their accumulation journey do not need to time the market but rather focus on maximize every opportunities to fill their bags and if possibly being aggressive without overly doing it after considering how much of their disposal income/discretional, they should take advantage of every buying opportunities especially if the money for invest is readily available.

Buying the dip is not only for the traders, those that made preparations for it can buy the dip if the plan is there especially with a reserve fund, but as for me am not much carried away with buying the dip so that I will not get in to any troubles of not sticking to my plans so as no to use the money that is meant for another thing for investment my plan is to focus on dcaing, and am good with it.

I disagree with you that those who wait for the DIP before they buy are traders, though sometimes it can still be someone who has a trading mindset of buying at DIP and selling upon increase in price but are you also aware that there are hodlers that already owns big portfolio and they have reserved funds that they set aside for targeting a DIP so that they can buy at cheaper prices even someone using the DCA strategy can still target a DIP in order to buy at cheaper price so it's not everyone who expects a DIP to accumulate are actually traders, besides there is no big deal about waiting for DIP so far as you are hodling already. The only time waiting for a DIP becomes problematic is when a new investor or a beginner starts waiting for the price to fall before they start accumulating since the price can go up while they are expecting a DIP to happen in order for them to buy Bitcoin.

They are still waiting for the Bitcoin price to drop to $20k. They saw it and refused to buy at that time because of the mindset of always waiting for a dip. In fact, many have even wasted the money in other ways.

So if I decide to buy only a dip of $56k from the activities that have played out in the month of August and September, does that make me a short term holder, or a trader, or someone with the intension of selling?. That's never true. You see, when someone chooses to buy a dip in this recent time, he/she must be realistic with the dip to aim for or expect. To be honest, I don't think anyone who is in a right state of mind will be expecting a dip of $20K. If there is anyone like that, then we shouldn't even be talking about them because they are not from this planet. The thing with buying Bitcoin's dip is that everyone choose to have their own price expectation, i.e every individual chooses the dip they want to buy. Someone can choose to buy at $56K, while another can choose to buy at $55.8, but the choice of dip must be realistic and must align with the condition of the market.

But here is the real truth. Waiting to buy a dip is not ideal. Because, you've to understand that Bitcoin price might likely not go back to your price of expectation. Bitcoin price dropping down to someone's expectation is a 50-50 chance especially when the price expectation is too unrealistic. So why even take the risk when you can just use the DCA method that is been suggested here.

Quote
Instead of someone chasing dips, they can think wisely and start using the method of DCA. Many of them should be in a grateful stage by in few months to come because once someone starts using the DCA method, they will eventually discover that they have accumulated a reasonable amount of Bitcoin between some months. It would be better if people stopped waiting for a dip, as we don't know exactly when it will happen, and instead focused on the DCA method, which allows them to buy Bitcoin at different prices.

Now your statement is making sense as I completely agree with this.

You can't be certain, investors can apply a strategy that suits their investment goals according to their financial power and their investment status. Some investors might have hit their investment target but are still willing to accumulate more Bitcoin such person may opt to wait and buy during DIPs, while some have the financial power to purchase bitcoin during DIPs.  But its not advisable for a newbie or low coiner with less finance to wait for Dips,  rather such persons should be in the market accumulating bitcoin consistently using a DCA strategy to build up a solid portfolio gradually over time.

i believe that people who are new to the cryptocurrency field wait for a dip before investing.
Let our discussion be focused on bitcoin not cryptocurrency because you're simply including other altcoins and shitcoins by using the word cryptocurrency.

Waiting for bitcoin price to Dip before investing is a waste of time, the market is unpredictable. Dips occurs in the market but it might not suit your desired level before investing, waiting for DIP as new investor you're simply timing the market of which is not a good approach for a newbie because its very challenging and stressful.  DCA strategy is very effective for those with long-termperspective, it allows you to be in the market and accumulate bitcoin consistently at Al given time regardless of what bitcoin price may be.  DCA offers the opportunity to invest and buy bitcoin with amount you are comfortable with rather waiting to have enough money before investing.

So I see lots of us here saying we consider those who buy the dips as traders, perhaps it's not clear what y'all mean by that but I will have to clarify some misconceptions about buying the dips and being a trader.
Investing and trading are different things but in the new situation we often confuse these two things together. Investing means making a long-term plan with money where temporary gains or losses will never affect an investor. But trading is different, trading is usually planned for short term. Here when the market comes relatively low a trader will buy any coin and when the price of that coin increases a bit then the trader will sell his coin. By doing this he will gain some amount of profit. An investor does not need to do much research on the market to invest, but those who trade regularly monitor every movement in the market and buy when the market dips.

You can easily differentiate between a trader and an investor. An investor who focuses only on buying will not have much focus on selling. That is, when an investor invests and after investing, if the market goes down again, he will buy in that situation and thus maintain continuity. An investor's objective is usually long-term planning he can hold his investment for a long period of time in two ways.
For example, the investor may have a specific time target or may have a specific price target.

If an investor invests for five years, it is a long-term investment plan, while an investor plans to sell the investment when the price of Bitcoin reaches 100k dollars, but this is also a long-term plan. But a trader will not do this at all because the trader's objective is not to hold his coins for a long time but to invest a large amount of money and be satisfied with a small amount of profit and start a new business. Hope the concept about investor and a trader is clear.

In terms of long term investment my choice is always to invest in DCA investment strategy. By investing in this method, usually the investor can continue his investment with relatively less risk of money and by investing in this way, the continuity of investment can be maintained for a long time. In DCA investment strategy, usually when the investor has the amount of money, he can continue the investment with that amount of money, it can be called a plus point for every investor.

Just buy whenever you want to. It's true that buying the DIP isn't only for the traders but it is for everyone, literally all of us.
And if you're not that much carried away by buying the DIP, then it only means that you're not pressured at all.
This should be what investing is, we're free to do it whenever we want and no pressures at all because you know how long the market will stand for.

Just buy whenever you want to. It's true that buying the DIP isn't only for the traders but it is for everyone, literally all of us.
And if you're not that much carried away by buying the DIP, then it only means that you're not pressured at all.
This should be what investing is, we're free to do it whenever we want and no pressures at all because you know how long the market will stand for.
it's only on an exceptional case and mostly applicable for some individuals that already  have a good chunk of Bitcoin that we can understand that they know what they are doing by trying to buy the dip if not, most of the people that tries buying the DIP ends up trading or gambling with thier investment. As a starter or someone that's likely at his first two to three years of Bitcoin accumilation and that can't buy much Bitcoin at a single time, it should never be a serious consideration that you want to buy at a DIP price. It might look a bit rewarding that you were able to buy at the time Bitcoin was $50k and then afterwards it went up to $60k. Though looking at it without doing an actual analysis of it might seems that you've made a good decision but when you critically look at it, What it will do to you is that you're going to make yourself believe that you should wait till the price goes down to that extent before you should buy so you wouldn't be at a disadvantage buying above a range of price you've tagged as a DIP price subconsciously. It's only going to slow down your accumilation routine while you're trying to wait for the best time to buy while if you look at it real good, the difference between buying at these prices we've seen so far if your DCA amount isn't much doesn't really matter.

Even though some people might still misunderstand the buying approach of microstrategy to mean that he's Buying at the dip, what's likely the case is that he's buying when he has the resource to doing so and isn't paying much attention to the prices. If big and well extablished investors like that will still DCA consistently for the long term, it shows that trying to time the market for a DIP prics before buying even when we don't even have enough resource to buy with is an absolute waste of time.
