Why so worried, multipool is not even up and running yet just hold.

WOW! 18.5 btc buywall @60k on mintpal.  Grin

 Grin  Its now 51 BTC between 65k & 70k
Suddenly 51 BTCs buy support disappears and price goes to hell.

The details of the CAI to CAIx exchange may have been mentioned in many other places.  But it was absent from the two places where it should have been clearly explained.

Exactly. The info was confusing at best, more like deliberately misleading.

We had so many updates on this transition, that if we kept them all on the OP we would have had an announcement 10 pages long. I am sorry you misunderstood something, but we did make this transition as easy to understand and as smooth as possible. This is the first time a crypto currency moved from 100% PoW chain to 100% PoS chain, exchanging the currency in the process. I know we can not make everyone happy, especially miners who kept on mining after the deadline but we tried our best.

Unfortunately this solution is not possible anymore as people seem to be still mining cai at very low diff, which means it will hurt people who mined it early, also there was plenty of time for people to exchange cai and fair warning was given.

There's always going to be the procrastinators, the clueless, and the whiners who will come out of the woodwork to ask for special treatment in these circumstances.  They have no one to blame but themselves......  But ofcourse they never do blame themselves, it's always someone elses fault.

Not exactly true. By allowing mining in the pools to continue past the 1.6mil mark, there was always going to be losers - 20% of coins generated could never be exchanged. That's a huge percentage - 1 in 5 coins could never be exchanged. The correct way to have done this would have been for the pools to shut down so that EVERYBODY could exchange their coins. This was simply a lottery.

I exchanged my mined CAI for CAIx every morning so if it were to pass the cutoff i would not make a big loss, why did the people who lost coins not do this? Its not like the price was moving up and down it was always 1 to 1.

In my case it was because I was away and had no access to my wallet.

@klopper

I am sorry but I expect a response from TheStuhlman.

Other people think like me that the communication wasn’t good!

I call complete and utter BS on that. The communication from Stuhlman was great and the only people who whine are people who intentionally mined until the very end in order get coins on low difficulty and you guys now come here, blaming the developer who did everything in his powers to make this transition as smooth as possible.

Due to a lot of work I don't get the chance to follow the cryptoworld, yet still it was clear to me that I had to exchange my CAI to CAIx asap.
I don't think the devs did anything wrong here... They clearly said mining CAI will be possible as long as the CAIx supply doesn't run out.

There was a serious communication effort from what I could see.  If you think the communication effort was less than robust, what would you have done differently?
