Just listened Khabib speaking on Twitter for RT.
He is locked down in Russia and he can't move anywhere out of country.
Looks like he will not fight in this event, except if some miracle change in next days...

Delayed again. At least it is delayed, but no cancelled. Btw, what the hell Khabib is doing in Russia, if his trainer said that the gym is closed for everyone except Khabib. And Khabib had pictures and story in this gym in instagram. He just flew away back home when situation with covid-19 became more dangerous?

He could have stayed in US for 2-3 weeks and do the fight. It was 1000% obvious that the borders would be closed soon and wont be able to return to US till April 19. Khabib again sneaked from fighting Tony?

I've been hearing some talks Khabib is out but Gaethje is in.  Looks like the fifth time isn't the charm guys...  

And I guess 249 is for the interim LHW title?  It should given the circumstances imo.

Just give title back to Conor and he will figure out how to organise event  The event could take place on his Proper 12 distillery and everyone could use spirits for disinfection.

Have a feeling that Khabib vs Ferguson fight would never happen. This is just like Dana White tried to sign Fedor Emilianenko to UFC. No matter how he tried - he did not succeed.

The UFC has their arena to conduct these fights but the government will not sanction the fight and if that is the case it will be another problem.

These are unfortunate situation no one anticipated and Dana White has given clear instructions to Khabib and his management that the fight will not take place in the USA and hence the likely place was UAE and he moved to UAE but the government said that they are planning to lock down everything and hence he moved to Russia and after that Russia too announced that they are completely locking down every travel and that is the situation and there is no way that the April fight will take place unless the situation magically sorts out which is highly unlikely.

If the UFC wants to carry on with the fight card they can still do that with the fighters available in the USA, the situation is not going to be better in the coming months, i am seriously concerned about my health and i am afraid to step out as i have seen many deaths in the past month and the situation is getting worse in the USA as the number of patients is approaching the two hundred thousand figure and considering those situations not sure how they will carry on with the fight card even if the fighters and the UFC wanted to.

All of the sporting events are moved indefinitely globally but why does the UFC is adamant to conduct the fight is well beyond my senses, there were news coming out today that Russia allows private jets to the USA giving hope that the fight could take place but today is April fools day and hence not sure whether that is true but then later tonight Khabib confirmed that he is not participating in this fight card and asked everyone to sit back until the situation is under control.

I choose to forget about their fight for the meantime because in my perspective uncertainties weigh greater. Due to this possible postponement (again ), it make me believe to Daniel Cormier — The Khabib vs Ferguson match is so cursed.

It's definitely going to be a big money fight if that ever happens. Making Tony fight Justin Gaethje, as replacement for Khabib, isn't really appealing right now.

Khabib is more wrestler, Conor is a striker. If Tony prepared to fight against a wrestling guy, how could it not be wasting time if he fights Conor? Its same time wasted imho.

in my opinion a striker almost always wins against a wrestler unless the latter does not have a stroke of luck and is unable to make a joint key or a strangulation, therefore Conor has more chance of winning...

Try to comprehend what I wrote well.

Wasted time obviously refers to the cancellation of his match against Khabib after months of operation only for the opponent to back out.
Calling out Conor (after Khabib) is a smart move because he is obviously a cash cow,
Kahabib's/Conor's fight styles is irrelevant in that context.

As I said before, I'm sure private planes can still get out. I really doubt every flight is grounded 100%. The military are still flying about and I'm sure they could catch a lift with them somewhere.

Lol. There was buzz on April the 1st about McGregor stepping in to fight. Most of it was April Fool's joking but Connor's coach did tweet about a 'third possible option' for the fight so that got a lot of people excited. Not sure whether he was joking but Connor has been training constantly and says he's up for the fight anytime so who knows.

They won't be able to commit to a venue because it's probably not a done deal yet and he will be keeping his options open. It looks like Dana was just trying to organise several possible venues so they could go with the most convenient or if one pulled out etc, but also maybe they need to keep it a secret so the powers that be don't try shut it down. I think if they do this fight they're going to both have to fly out of Russia and the US and do it in some crazy country that will have them, or some really bizarre location (I still like my warship idea  ), but I really don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.

It's funny how Khabib always refers to himself in the third person.  Lol.  'I am Khabib.  Corona Virus and Khabib are different.  Khabib not Corona Virus.'. 

And he never mentions McGregor by name.  'If I wanted more money, I would fight Chicken.'.

He's ready but it will be pointless if the Russian government won't allow him to do so . To be honest, their fight will be cancelled once again. You know why? Simply because a particular government will not choose to exemptions, for sure they don't want their own countrymen think that they are imposing favoritism lol.  

Guys, here's for the record. If ever the match will be postponed again it will be now on its 5th time *sigh.

^  I think Dana White can make some phone calls and pull some strings to fly Khabib out of Russia.  I mean they have to understand.  The guy has to work.  Lol.  

And the whole outbreak situation could get better by the second week of April imo.

Well, Khabib feels a little bit disappointed indeed, but we can understand that I think.
I hope the fight will be able to take place at least during this summer
