^ The man is eager to fight and doesn't want his months of preparation go to waste again with Khabib backing out for another reason. Tony Ferguson calling out Conor is a smart move. It's definitely going to be a big money fight if that ever happens. Making Tony fight Justin Gaethje, as replacement for Khabib, isn't really appealing right now.

We can have huge plans, but where is the fight happening, which country is willing to license a fight when thousands of people are dying because of the pandemic. As a fan i want to see Khabib and Tony but when you take into consideration that people are loosing their life and many people are forced to sit at home without any work, this is not a big thing as they can always reschedule the fight. I doubt that the fight will take place because there is only two weeks left and still the fighters have no idea where the fight is going to take place, what about weight cutting and jet lag and climate accumulation for these fighters as it is a huge process.

To be honest, their fight will be cancelled once again. You know why? Simply because a particular government will not choose to exemptions, for sure they don't want their own countrymen think that they are imposing favoritism lol.  

Around 60000 people died because of this virus and you think any government will give a shit about a sporting event as they have other things to worry, the recession that will hit is a big concern and in a situation when all of government and the scientific community is trying to save and eradicate the virus do you really think that they will play favoritism for a sport .

I reckon he should take all main event fighters in 1 event on August and lock them in cage and let them fight similar to the Royal Rumble hehehehehe.

it must be money. someone is forcing him to do so. its business or laundering probably. its always a possibility that a mob is forcing him. he knew its not possible due to pandemic. not accusing but if there is no sports event, it would be suspicious to send millions of dollars out to an account these days.

I don't expect that things will be much better in just few weeks.
Look at China and with all their measures they had to go with months of total lockdown with great dicipline.
I doubt US will have any UFC event for months, or maybe in some deserted island without people.

I don't want to get my hopes all high on the UFC 249 event amidst the increasing number of positive patient in the USA and many in the country we recently have news about events that are still held in times the virus is keeping its pace high and many people are not very cooperative with the said Lockdown that the government had implemented, Well if Dana White could announce a place where there are no more Virus at all then I think this event will surely continue, maybe on China will be a better grounds right now.

They already cancelled a couple of fight cards and the new owners purchased this for a whooping $4 billion dollars and if they are not able to continue with the shows then they will be in financial trouble and all their contracts means that they need to come up with shows to get the revenue and with the complete shut down they are in a sort of crisis on deciding how to move forward and so is the reason Dana is adamant to move forward with the show but they are yet to find a stadium and an athletic body that would sanction the fight and with the number of cases rising on a daily basis it is unlikely we will see this fight card happen.

Even i want to remember this as a bad dream but the number of infected people keeps on rising and i am locked inside for weeks simply because of fear of going out as the death count keeps on climbing on a daily basis and there is no end to that which is really scary and the stress i am under is immense and i want to be optimistic but the stats are scaring the living hell out of me.

Still there is no truth from China having a cure against the virus. Second, I think all the abroad flights are closed and not a single fighter would ever now fly to China.

Smart move would be to start new round of trash talk. When everything with the virus would be finished, imagine how super pumped these fights would be

I don’t know why is everyone suddenly so keen for events to be held in China, as two days before it was some unknown premier league which suggested that the premier league shifts to China, now you’ll too think that UFC should shift to China and in my personal opinion shifting to China is a horrible idea. @TopTort777 usually I don’t like their trash talks, but since we can’t see any action right now we might as well hope that they’ll do lot of thrash talks, as that’ll definitely make the fights more entertaining to watch once it resumes.

When most of the countries are having travel restrictions where do they fly to make the fight happen, the only option is to contact Elon Musk to take the fighters to outer space and make the fight happen because right now none of the commission will sanction the fight . WWE recently conducted a closed event for their Wrestlemania but i have no idea when it was recorded and if they could conduct then UFC can certainly conduct the fight if they could convince or pay the athletic commission to sanction the fight.

This is considered good news if the situation gets better. However, the opposite happen so I think Dana should surrender now. He must postponed the event for good. It would be a sad news for all UFC fans around the globe but that was understandable tho. A fight event is nothing compare to the risk it could bring to the staff, audience (if ever) and the fighters most importantly. Health of each individual is the top priority at this moment and minimizing the risk is the best we can do to help our government.

Belarus has only small number of virus cases that's why it was considered a nice venue for the fight somehow. But still, it's not 100% safe so for me the fight should be postponed for good .

You nailed it! It is impractical to spend that big just to watch the fight. At the end of the day, all of us will conform to the "Needs before Wants" Rule — foods before ticket . Besides, even if there are existing flights going to Belarus, I reckon their government surely won't allow such gathering of people in the first place .

UFC 249 happening without Khabib is probably pointless. It'll probably just be another average UFC card unless there's some surprises but I can't see any big draws ending up on this match given the circumstances and short time frame to get it organised. I'd still be surprised if it happens at all. I reckon thje fight will just be a load of fighters just desperate to get any sort of exposure and would be very surprised if there's any big names. With that being said, if Dana can pull out some big guns then fair play to him bu there just seems far too many obstacles in his way to even get this fight going never-mind getting some big names on the bout.
