You have said the right about Thurman statement towards Pacman but every fighter has the strategy they played towards their opponents in other to get his attention or make him do some unnecessary mistake. However, when I did some little research about Thurman I find out that he's a smart guy and like you said he might be playing some tricks on Pacman
That made Pacquiao has that feeling of grinding his teeth and sort of angry expression during his interview. Although it's not literally the angry expression but you can feel it with his actions and coming from Fernandez's statement on how Manny feels want that fight badly.

We don't know if its part of his strategy to annoy his opponent so they get distracted and we already knew it that Pacquiao bited his bait. But we will see inside the ring the response of Pacquiao to his words.

Take a look at the odds from Nitrogensports

If you place $100 to Keith Thurman, you'll take home $176.92 but if you place a $100 bet to Manny Pacquiao, you will take home $210.
We can bank on the speed of Manny but what about the punching power? How long can he (Manny Pacquiao) take the punching power of Keith Thurman.
Keith Thurman is 10 years younger than Manny Pacquiao. I am still undecided between the two.

Good question. We all know that Pacquaio used to have one of the toughest chin in 147 lbs until Juan Manuel Marquez breaks it and after that Pacquaio seems to be very vulnerable from overhand right, specially in the second and third fight with Bradley. But as he age, he gain more experienced after that and seems to be very conscious of that shot. Keith Thurman's weapon is his right hand, he is young and powerful and that for me is the swing vote why the odd makers put in as the favorites in this fight. So it's really hard who to bet in this one. If he hits Manny with that right, then Manny will be in a complicated situation. But if Manny dodge and his footwork is good enough and he himself goes in and out and hits Thurman then he can win by decision.

@ruthwithers1980 - forget about politics, when Manny trains he trains 100%. So I don't buy the 'he is needed' in the Congress or his attention is divided.

Well according to his attendance sheet in the Senate, he has the most number of absent days in the Senate compared to others and that is because of his sports activities like training and promoting. Although is making news as a Senator, but he has his own place for training at his home so I don't think training will be a problem to Manny.

According to the youtube interview I watch, Manny is very eager to train in this fight, and in fact he train early as expected.
He got irritated by the trash talking of Thurman and probably that's one big reason why Manny will be more aggressive and we should witness fireworks in this fight. It's not gonna be a broner style of fight, I'm expecting a toe to toe fight for these two champions.

Manny is immune with trash talker are knew Pacquiao is a decent man and not getting serious about bad mouthing instead he will make prove in the ring what they’re talking
Thurman is only advantage in Age but nothing other than that .
Punch power?we are witnessed about the power of the left hand on Manny and this is what Thurman must avoid or else he will go home with a crying tears lol

Rumors say Pacman already have a minor injury currently. This is bad. Pacman says he is motivated after Thurman bad mouthing him and disrespected him. If Freddie Roach is not the head trainer then I see a Thurman win.

Yes, I heard that rumor as well. But Manny's camp says it's just a minor ankle injury if I'm not mistaken. So I doubt that the fight will not continue or as least Manny will not do good because the injury is not that worst. I would be more concern if it is related to the eye injury he suffered during the Broner fight as it was reported to be serious. But it looks like it's completely heal and he is not affected by that injury.

So for me this injury is a non-factor in the fight. Maybe he just needed warm-ups and stretches on that ankle/feet to at least alleviate the conditions.
We'll not know the actual situation of Manny injury because him and his camp are always like that if you remember his last fight with Mayweather which some people later find out that he had a shoulder injury and as you said, he will definitely continue with the fight cause he seems to be after the money involve.
It makes money have a big influence and it looks like it gives strength in order to win the fight. Anyway, that's they live and keep them fighting but not only for that, it is also the support from the country itself and making them proud.

Thurman is just young and less experience fighting for big and known boxer which Manny has that advantage. It could be some basis to know the possibility that Manny will win this fight.
No doubt Pacman was indeed experienced than Thurman and he was also rated the number eight fighter of all time but that does not give him advantage or possibility of winning the fight against Thurman because Pacman moves and punches seems to be slow and plodding this days I guess that due to his previous shoulder injury.

After milking Manny for many years, here is what Bob Arum has to say:

Quote
Veteran promoter Bob Arum fears Filipino star Manny Pacquiao might be risking brain damage when he steps into the ring against WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman in Las Vegas next month.

The 87-year-old Arum, a legendary figure in boxing who promoted Muhammad Ali during the 1960s and 1970s, no longer works with Pacquiao after overseeing most of the eight-division world champion's signature fights.

However Arum believes the serious brain injury suffered by 41-year-old Zab Judah last Friday should serve as a cautionary tale.

https://ph.yahoo.com/news/arum-fears-brain-damage-veteran-pacquiao-192332258--spt.html

I would have to agree that as we aged, we shouldn't take any hard blows to the head. But we can't say that for all boxers though, I mean Pacquaio is a freak of nature, that's why he was able to sustain his long career. Of course, only Manny knows when to stop though, and it's just a matter of time before he will call it quits. But at 41 he still looks very fresh and can still perform at a high level. Can Thurman hit him so hard that he will have a brain damage? I doubt that.

What do you expect from Arum though? He is in the business of boxing for many years and have milk around many great boxers. And when they are done with him, he totally talks smacks against his former boxers. Anyways, I agree that we can't compare Manny to Zab Judah, Zab was not active so I don't know why he decided to fight again. He was way past his prime, he retired many years ago that's why his body wasn't able to cope again. Wish Zab speedy recovery though.

Training is not a problem for Manny but it's the focus on training that should be emphasize. In the past, there were  too many interference as he trained but i think they coped up with it now. With so many advisers around i think they know what to do so that Manny can focus on training and stop thinking the outside world momentarily.

How can you question his focus when he won his last two fights convincingly, this man deserves respect and if you respect him, bet on him against the favorite.

With that Arum's warning, does he know something about Manny's situation? 41 isn't too old to be considered weaker than ever, some may change with our bodies but it doesn't mean that he's too delicate and easy to receive such blows.

I'll still go with Manny as experience wise.

I guess most of us here are for Manny in this fight, there's still plenty of time and I like the schedule since in a month I can still bet more on this game as I continue to save for this fight. I have a feeling that if Manny will lose, it would be his last game, so I'd like to bet on that in case, but if he wins, then that's good for boxing and good for his fans. Being underdog does not make me doubt.

I am betting small amount on Manny Pacquiao because of the odds. It's just a really small amount  because I do believe that undefeated boxer seems so strong like Keith Thurman who is much younger and have confident. But who knows, the ring is square.
Manny can still play after this, win or lose. Because it's all about money.

I was impatiently watching Manny's odds. It has stuck somewhere around 2.1 in most of the gambling sites. I wanted it to go below 2.0, since the sites will be then forced to increase the odds for Keith Thurman. Anyway.. one thing is sure. This fight has picked up a lot of attention from the US. I heard that bets in favor of Thurman are being waged in increasing amounts.

Not a small amount for me, I'm just very confident with this fight of his, it's very rare that we will see PACMAN as underdog so I think we should grab this opportunity.

He might be old but still young in heart when in terms to this game, he loves being under dog as he wanted to showcase his talents, Manny will surprise most of those gamblers who will bet for him, even there's advantage with how Thurman will take some edge fighting with legend and take the opportunity to bring his name into a big hype from this sport.

Not a small amount for me, I'm just very confident with this fight of his, it's very rare that we will see PACMAN as underdog so I think we should grab this opportunity.

Right, we haven't seen Pacman as underdog since the Mayweather fight, and he lost. Does it mean that oddmakers are really good at giving us the favourite again? Hmm, I cannot say because it looks like most of the posters here see's Pacman as the winner.  Grin

These are the main reasons Thurman is favored by all online sportsbooks.

But not so favored, line for Manny should be at least 2.20 because thurman is at 1.70, that would give good profit for Pacman backers if he will win this fight. They both train hard, and they both are champion, Manny being underdog in the fight does loss my trust on him because I'm seeing a value here.
Goodluck for the both of them , Manny Pacquiao his training is not easy and if you wacthed news when he was training he do his best to maintain his body fit, strong and healthy. All boxers need to tradin hard to win their fight and everyone have different favorite boxers and Im going to choose Manny and I bet him in the gambling in the July and hope to win.

Thurman is awesome but he seems to disrespect Manny.

"Pacquiao will disappear on July 20", as Thurman says. I respect the first words he said but he continues with this line, it makes my heart boil. Not only that Manny is from our country but we are supporting him since I knowing him. I won't deny the fact that Thurman is a great boxer, they both are but this is the first time I read that he is furious. You can read all of that here in the link.

I would say, I'm still with Pacquiao on this fight.
Been a long follower of his fights and I believe he is doing a rigorous training on this one to prove that he has still power on this sport.
We can always read trash talks from Thurman so this fight is still gonna be interesting for all boxing aficionados.
They need to create a marketing promotion somehow to sell their fight, right?
