Does simple mining do amd ryzen 3900x cpu mining?

Last time I asked they said you have to run it using commands lines.

I will have to fuck with it.

I am not making huge money with grin  but there is a bit of profit for me.

I have 8 grin rigs with about 20 cards total

I have 3  amd rigs doing xmr

I am going to be selling 2 rigs.

see link

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213946.msg53488504#msg53488504

I am usa based.  let me know if you want these 2 rigs.

Been really sick  cold/flu whatever.

My wife was so sick  her cold/flu is now pneumonia.  She is in the hospital due  to come home  today.

She did get better they gave her antibiotics via intravenous.

My local hospital has 284 beds  the nurses were telling me 215 of the 284 beds  have people with

cold/flu/pneumonia symptoms  kind of frightening  to think of those numbers.

from what i observe older people have weaker lungs.

you can upgrade the air quality of a room by:

using air purifier with HEPA capability:
 - always get the bigger model of a product line up, the product where you think you can easily get the replacement HEPA filter and run the fan in slower speed (more quiet environment and good volume of air getting filtered)
 - since HEPA filters are expensive you can prolong it's life by using an extra layer of filter, my recommendation is a cheap one. like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BO96IW/ref=psdc_13397451_t1_B008B7ZIXS - where you can cut and use duct tape to hold it in place over the air purifier intake (will filter before the HEPA filter), so that the HEPA filter will just filter the small particulates.
- use cheap duct tape too, you only need it to last until the next filter replacement.

my HEPA filter is still good after 2 years, i think it can reach three years. airflow is stil good and color is still not that "ugly dark".
-i got a 3 ply above the HEPA filter...peel the 3rd after it got dirty and the last two ply i remove at the same time.

the cheap filter which can be cut and can also be applied to a room AC (it's original intended use), so overall you get two air purifier in a room--in my room AC i got a 3 ply setup, the 4th ply is the small cuts that i didn't want to go to waste.
-in changing, peeling the 4th first, then the third..the last 2 filter i replace at the same time---my AC evaporator is still clean after 2 years LOL

anyway spending a lot of time in a room because sleeping alone is ~8 hours + computer time + relaxing time, making a clean air room I think is a must. in a house where there is a mining room that tends to move air around more, small particles will be moving around too.

I have had life long asthma.

Furnace filter = https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003J7JSFY/ref=dp_cerb_3    merv 12

IQ Air = https://www.sylvane.com/iqair-gc-multigas-air-purifiers.html      2 units

Lastly

https://www.amazon.com/Molekule-air-purifer-Dual-Filtration-System/dp/B07Q33GV1V/ref=sr_1_8?

all of the above has helped me not have a full blown asthma attack in more then 10 years.

I always look for good prices on the replacement parts.

I could rant about air quality for hours, but I don't.

This time I talked a bit because my wife never drinks never smokes never does drugs.

Yet she got very ill quite scary for me and her.

- at least 128GB RAM ....  Angry LOL

check your the randomX ryzen miners...if your motherboard supports 128GB RAM

..might be profitable in the future.

I have  a few mobos with ryzen 9 3900x

have to check

8 sticks of 16gb ram on my thread ripper board

or 4 sticks of 32 on my x570 board

looks like I can use

DDR4   Corsair   2400   2400   32GB   CMK64GX4M2A2400C16 ver3.44

DDR4   Crucial   2666   2666   32GB   CT32G4DFD8266.16FB1   Micron   DS   2/4
https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-32GB-Single-288-Pin-Memory/dp/B07ZLDCYYS/ref=sr_1_1?

320 for 32gb means 640 for 4 sticks

maybe this stick would work
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-M393A4K40BB0-CPB-DDR4-2133-Memory-MEM-DR432L-SL01-ER21/dp/B00U6O78W8/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?

only 95 a stick = 380 four sticks.

I have 4 sticks of 16 gb ram on my  threadripper  it can do 8 sticks

I would need 4 x 16 = 64 + 64 128 gb

Since you guys are going to be buying tons of RAM and if the filecoin doesn't work out then maybe you guys can put your CPU+RAM to use by participating in this challenge,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5218972

From what I understand its easier to find the private key to a public address when it has a spent output, so the contest creator spent a few of those BTC addresses to make it easier. So if you got a system with lots of RAM you can help out by solving the private keys, its called Kangaroo something.

Just becareful installing any software you find in that thread that is not signed by some author, maybe viruses found in the original thread.

Need th check my thread ripper as it needs only  4 sticks of 16gb ram

would be cheaper to use it  for the filecoin.

How is filecoin different than the many other similar sounding projects out there..?

I yet to find links to its website so I have no idea.

But if it requires 128gb ran and a good cpu it prevents asic attacks.

Anything that prevents asic attacks is okay by me.

But more is needed then just that.

I spent a year supporting bitcoininterest and they failed.

Quote
https://www.bitcoininterest.io/

Bitcoin Interest – Thank you everyone!

Its been a really great journey everyone and before anything we want to thank everyone who has been a part of it.

But like all journeys this one is coming to an end. This will be the last month of support for BCI. Unfortunately there just was not enough desire for this coin and because of that it has become too costly to run. We will be looking for another group to take the coin over if there is enough want/interest. We will leave up all the code on GitHub for users to fork/clone/etc.

Thank you everyone!

my thread ripper has 4 sticks of 16gb ram  I was able to find 4 matching sticks for 255 usd

a few coupons and I spent about 225 to go from 64 to 128gb ram.

I will have to look at website  and figure out how to mine the new coin but  spending 225 to go from 64 to 128gb ram is a no brainer.

this is the link for  the ram

https://www.ebay.com/itm/16GB-DDR4-2133MHz-PC4-17000-DIMM-Crucial-CT16G4DFD8213-Equivalent-Memory-RAM/323845681783?

if you have a threadripper mobo it is pretty cheap   to do the upgrade  it is 60 a stick.

I will soon 8 sticks  of 16gb ram.  this ram  clocks to 2666 and 15 timing pretty easy.

I have a 1920 thread ripper. on a taichi  str4 mobo.

this will give a good overview of what might be in terms of mining.

https://filecoin.io/blog/filecoin-testnet-mining/

I think storage blockchain solution is still experimental, who knows? filecoin might got things right or not.

gpu's are also involved BTW but not designed to be the main mining aspect.

I guess I'm old and jaded at this point. I don't see this succeeding when other coins have the same capabilities either entirely (burst/sia) or as a feature of an already greater feature set (PIRL)

i'm open minded for what might become of it...since they are all different, doesn't mean if you can store something using blockchain tech, the problem is solved.

besides i don't know if this storage thingy with all of them has already secured the "real storage" part because i've already tried a fake chinese usb flash disk a long time ago.

it will trick the system like this-->I have a 4gb space..you put files, it writes and then when you copy back it still does but the file "is corrupted" hehe

funny, right now at first glance, filecoin is the most ASIC resistant because you need all of this to be working.
- needs powerful enough multi core cpu
- needs powerful enough gpu
- needs drive space...what if increasing space/and speeding up (SSD vs HDD) increases rewards?
- needs the latest RAM max capacity for boards/modules, what if the RAM is increased from 128gb to 256gb...(future 512gb, 1tb...) you get more rewards ?

while right now, to beat ASICs this is the current solutions..

XMR - only a cpu algo can do it because..
ETH - a growing DAG utilizing GPU ram because..
RVN - a special GPU algo sauce because..
ProgPOW - a special GPU algo sauce because..

filecoin might be the holy grail of ASIC resistance. - will this gain/bring value? we will see. well..I mean look at ETH, that was supposed to be a gas to fuel a world computer, it just become another money LOL  Cheesy
