Nowadays many ICOs offer free coins, but we have two problems with this free coins, the first one the value of this coins will drop after start trading due to a lot have free coins willing to sell it, and the second they ask for your ID (KYC), and i think it is very risky to send your IDs to any one.

Yes dont send your ID for KYC just for airdrop tokens alone, how much can you get in that airdrop $2-$5? Its not worth it to send your ID just to get this penny. The only projects I join airdrops is when they have bounty as well to maximize my tokens on that project and take note that I always deeply research about a certain project.

Airdrops have served as an incentive to draw people into a buying/contributing often times in a newly launched crypto projects. Free coins yes! But some projects have ran into serious problems through airdrops.. Benefactors of many crypto projects have repaid several teams kind gestures with painful vibes. I e making a project price crashes cos these coins are let go for ridiculous pennies.

you make the right decision. not all altcoin from Airdrop have value, even some of them will never be registered in exchange. it will only fill our wallet with coins that have no value. I also never followed airdrop again, after airdrop from the blockchain application.

it depends on how much free time you have, if you have a lot of free time it is better to use it to participate in airdrop. although the results are not too large, it is not bad to add funds to invest. The ICO market, we're witnessing the fall of it and most of these airdrops will turn into worthless giveaway specially if they don't even hit an exchange.

I agree with you, because, we should not risk our own ID for ICO only. It should not be foolish to risk our own ID for ICO,airdrop. We should do everything to make a long term plan.

1. It's common to happen for airdrop tokens, once the token listed on exchange, the price will fall so deep because no one want to hold the airdrop tokens.
2. Some airdrop will ask you to do KYC verification, for me it's not worth. Trading my ID information with airdrop token that only worth a couple of bucks or even less, so nope for me.

It’s a no no for me too, if the project was even worth it, it would not have been issue for me to give my KYC, but the problem is the number of projects that request for KYC now, how many time would one continue to drop ones information in this industry just to have access to a little token that is not worth it?

If it was the period when projects still have very good projects that will make their coin grow in future, one would have risked it, but now, you still get to hold a coin that may not even enter exchange for a long time and when they do,they end up getting dumped immediately.

For now it is still safe to send KYC I have never heard of any violations that have been used for bad things I hope this doesn't happen but not all airdrop projects ask participants to send KYC

Before, I can suggest to participate airdrop but now I dont think its the good idea anymore. Due to many reason; not profitable anymore, no guarantee the project will ever survive the competitive market if its not a scam. If they are legit and give reward opr airdrop then its not that big since you must do a referral task to acquire big reward.

Most of the projects have been turned into trash on the bearish season and the chance of recovering are pretty low. They have gone forever, in fact, any project with no real demand will go down. Better not to waste the time.

But you should also be careful in selecting the Airdrop project. Especially when they need KYC. It is better not to submit your personal data. Search for Airdrop projects that don't use KYC.

Before joining you should analyse the authenticity of ICO
Airdrop is good if you already know they will definitely list on exchanges and they have already listed on exchanges.
One of my fav airdrop Authpaper is still running they going to switch in IEO it means they going to list tokens on exchanges you can participate in it.

Airdrop needs to follow the instruction here:

True, only participate airdrop that no need KYC to join. Only participate airdrop that free and easy to enter like only enter you address and email on the spreadsheet, that's it. If the airdrop need KYC then forget it. It's also depends though, if the airdrop is really recommended and get paid like blockchain airdrop, then you can join.

That is right mate, the only saving grace that those coins have which I usually call last chance is during altcoins season when most altcoins is known to rise whether real coin or shitcoins, at that point is when most of the developers too still come to forcefully promote their coin to the public and they will surely get greater percentage of people who invest in projects just by picking them randomly without checking the quality of their project.

I have many of these coins with me and I am waiting for that time too, but for the new airdrops, some of them are still worth it for short term investment and not long term investment.

airdrop gives lots of coins that are free and this can be a fun thing for participants as well as a media for promoting new coins. so the presence of airdrop especially coupled with a stable price might attract participants

 Participation in this is now quite unprofitable, the time spent will not be justified by the total amount of payments that come to your account. If earlier 1 of 100 projects could bring 250-500$ , now it is 1 of 1000 projects.
