Nowadays, the airdrops are dodgy. If the airdrop is coming from a reputable project, I am for it, but those few and far between. It used to be the case that airdrops were potentially very valuable, but that was during the ICO craze that ended badly. Overall, I would avoid them, but there are a select few in which to participate.

Few things to consider if you are participating in an Airdrop:
- What percentage of total supply are they giving away in airdrop?
- Do you need to give your KYC details to them? I don't prefer to give my details for some dollars because it makes me feel that I am selling my identity.
- Do they have proper management to deal with the users taking part in airdrop?
- How long will you have to wait to get their airdropped tokens finally?

Airdrop can be good if the project is good and will last and perform in accordance with their roadmaps. It depends completely on what and how we show our cards. Things like ETH are already centralized and it is proven many times, so the project conducting airdrop need not to be an intelligence agency because Vitalik has got too much control over these addresses that he will reveal everything himself to them if asked. The major cause for me to not take part in any of the airdrops is that most of them are ERC20 tokens working over Ethereum blockchain and no matter whichever project you give your KYC to for some dollars, your documents are assured to get compromised even if they show you huge privacy related content on their Privacy policy page. Most of them don't have an actual working concept and others are just clones with different names. I miss those PoW + PoS coins or just PoW coins that work on their own chain and had some real milestones to get achieved. Working for those coins was fun and they had value too, but these airdropped projects look junk to me and most of them prove out to be the same in future with no real use case.

I think the labor for airdrops is too undemanding, they do any job for anything, seems there is a lack of self respect for their own job, for themselves. If airdrops members started asking for guarantees and better conditions before applying for the task, the developers would raise the payments.

That is right mate, the only saving grace that those coins have which I usually call last chance is during altcoins season when most altcoins is known to rise whether real coin or shitcoins, at that point is when most of the developers too still come to forcefully promote their coin to the public and they will surely get greater percentage of people who invest in projects just by picking them randomly without checking the quality of their project.

It is dropping just because bounty hunters tend to sell the reward tokens right after they received the token. I am not interested in airdrops but I do witnessed some people who are fond of joining airdrops and fortunately, they are gaining from those rewards. I have to second this. I took part in a about 50 airdrops in 2018. The vast majority of those campaigns didnt even pay, never got listed or if they got listed the coins are next to worthless. I was very lucky for taking part in Hydros airdrop, they dropped 222k Hydros to participants, the stack of Hydros is currently worth about 350 dollar and the project is performing really well (partnerships with Google, IBM, ...). This was a very lucky punch comparable to winning in lottery I think.

Please stay away from campaigns which require KYC for airdrops. Most of them are pure scam and will sell your identity.

Because for me since I started here in crypto world I never try nor plan to join in it.
