There is no coin to be created that will a threaten to Bitcoin's existence, Facebook is popular just as a social media it does not mean its speculated Libra's a coin it will be a rival to Bitcoin, It will never even come close to what Bitcoin offers.

So be it, rival coins could possible create chaotic speculations and I think the world of cryto adoptions was getting too attached to it. Many people based a current events to a trending discussions but not knowing they're fallen to the trap of advertisement poison. As bitcoin hodler I wouldn't be bothered on this new, because new coins cannot stand against what milestones we've been through with btc as strong and sustainable crypto asset.

Libra is one of the stable coins, and none of the stable coins can compete not only with Bitcoin, but generally with any decentralized cryptocurrency. It is vseravno what to compare decentralized cryptocurrency with non-cash forms of payments of conventional currencies. Yes, they have a large volume of transactions, but this is a completely different form of payment.
Coin Libra is not a full-fledged cryptocurrency, because it can not be profitable. Therefore, do not worry about Bitcoin, it will be all right.

Yeah maybe global coin will be a rival to bitcoin. No one knows. But bitcoin always have a space in my heart and it won’t change so easily. I think a lot of people will have the same thoughts like me.

I think it's difficult to beat bitcoin in terms of price and market cap value. Moreover, Libra coin is a stable coin that is pegged with dollars. I think bitcoin will always be the main investment choice for investors because in terms of liquidity and price, bitcoin is still the most attractive

I agree, with many good coins in the market, it will create healthy competition. Developers will definitely compete to provide a good platform and products that many people need. And indeed I think Libra Coin is not a competitor for Bitcoin because there are many differences

Bitcoin as mother aren't rival by new comer like libra, those are different both technology, system and financial thing. Libra are good enough space to getting new user to inside on crypto world, then will remove into bitcoin when know what this point suppose.

You are talking Libra coin and you are opponent Libra is stable coin. After TRON blockchain, TRON doesn't kill Ethereum but a very good Rival.
Which is mean are you think that libra coin will be a very good rival for bitcoin? You make a same point between ETH and Tron and also you will feel it with bitcoin and libra. I don't think like that, Libra has a different function with bitcoin, has different system with bitcoin and its stable coin. You have to same libra coin with Tether or USDT not to bitcoin moreover you say the good rival for bitcoin, it's never happen for sure.

It is not a rival to be honest. I guess the most challenging rival of Libracoin is the people themselves, or perhaps the governments that have long been holding trust issues with Facebook. It does not really hurt Bitcoin. It will, on the contrary, boost the reputation of Bitcoin. Facebook's step is simply a huge, loud and clear, affirmation that Bitcoin indeed is the future, that crypto is the way we have in the years to come.

It's a stable coin, of course, many will buy for Facebook's products and services, but it's nothing compared to Bitcoin as a store value since I'm not using any of their products or services I will not buy it and will continue to support Bitcoin and other altcoins.

if its really a stable coin i dont think many people will buy it because stable coins cant be profitable since their value is stable at 1usd .

alot of investors will go for more volatile type coins like bitcoin because this is the only way that they can profit  . while some will still buy a stable coin for security purpose ( e.g securing the value of thier cryptos when they are about to cash out )  .

its not about being stable or not but its about facebook  . many users dont trust facebok because they are exploiting our data's  therfor not all are going to support the coin that facebook develops  .

With the presence of LibraCoin owned by Facebook, it does have the potential to become a competitor of bitcoin, considering that Facebook is the most social media member in the world.
But to prove the truth of the analysis takes time, because bitcoin already exists very long and already has millions of users.

We have been hearing about these rivals for almost 10 years. Back in 2011-12, it was Litecoin and Namecoin. Then in 2015, it was Ethereum. Two years later, it was the turn of third generation cryptocurrencies such as Cardano and NEO. But one thing is clear. Irrespective of the technology, none of these coins will ever be able to overtake BTC. I don't even want to mention Libra. It is a centralized shitcoin.

Libra won't be competing with Bitcoin. Just as the US dollar or the Euro is not competing with gold.
Yes, there is allocations from the first to the latter and vice versa, but they have totally different applications and use cases in the world.

In my opinion, if the Facebook party has planned to make crypto currency itself, this indicates a great competition in the crypto world. but in the near future they cannot get rid of bitcoin from the top of the crypto currency. because bitcoin is already so popular.

It's not easy to be able to compete with Bitcoin, let alone replace the position of Bitcoin as the king of cryptocurrency, Libra coins have not been launched and will be released in 2020 and in my opinion is too excessive if it is said to compete with bitcoin because libra coins have not been launched.
Bitcoin is the most popular coin among other coins, and even though Libra coins will be launched later it seems too early to compete with bitcoin and must go through a long process.

What a pitty that Facebook Coin will not be launched. It could really help Bitcoin with a massive adoption.
Butwe learned that centralized cryptocurrencies do not have long future thanks to regulators.  Cry

Agree! It's too early to say that libra will be the king of cryptos. It's indeed early to compete with bitcoin. It has not proven its capabilities yet. We only hear positive things about libra but we actually don't have idea how is it going to be once it will be in the market.

The rate at which bitcoin controls the prices of altcoins, has indicated that bitcoin does not have rival.
I feel like imagining what new thing Facebook CEO is planning to release, that will make it to have preference over bitcoin.
The acceptability of the coin by crypto enthusiasts is very important.

There is now a name for the cryptocurrency-based payment system that Facebook is planning to debut in 2020 and it is called as GlobalCoin. Indeed, as the name suggest, it would be available globally (well maybe except China, Russia, Iran, North Korea and nations USA is not doing business with) starting with some hand-picked countries. Right now, the team established by Mark to tackle on this project has been communicating with some people involved with regulatory matters to thresh out things so they can start the trial maybe within this year.

With the Facebook empire at the helm and behind the GlobalCoin, people are getting excited and there are now many big investors lining up to be part of the funding circle hoping to snatch part of the estimated $1 billion the project is looking for. With Mark having the Midas touch, investors are thinking that this can be another opportunity of a lifetime. I am not sure though if Facebook will decide to also open the crowdfunding with small investors like in the trending IEOs we have today.

Wow! And of course, there will always be critics of this move by Facebook to join the cryptocurrency craze. There are objecting that what Facebook is getting into is not decentralized and hence can not even be called as genuine cryptocurrency akin to what we see in Bitcoin, Ethereum and the rest of the gang.

Now, considering all of these things and the very big potential of this Facebook project called as GlobalCoin, do you think that soon we can see Mark Zuckerberg not just the emperor of the social media but also the king of cryptocurrency? Or you think that this should be treated just like a normal (though it is very big) project which might also go wrong if the market will not be responding positively? What is your opinion with the foray of Mark into cryptocurrency and will Globalcoin one day be a rival to that of Bitcoin?

No doubt Facebook coin will be a great one in the crypto space and it will also bring about more adoption of cryptocurrency in the world. Having said that, Facebook coin will be a centralized coin because of its economic model and with its centralization features, I don't see it as a rival to bitcoin. Facebook coin will be great but I don't think it can come close to be a bitcoin rival.
