A New Bitcoin Rival Is Coming?

Facebook's new cryptocurrency is reported to be a stablecoin for members to use for payments and its full specifications haven't been released yet, however, it is not likely to be a direct rival to Bitcoin which is decentralized, is widely considered to be a digital version of gold and a future store of value and it should only benefit from the increased exposure this venture can provide for the cryptocurrency industry

For the fact that it is Facebook, and giant of all social media doesn’t mean it can stand some giants of cryptocurrency, it will be impossible for Facebook to be in the struggle with Bitcoin, because there usefulness will not even be the same and even if they have something similar, the community will not accept a coin that is going to be more like a centralized coin.

We all know how Facebook has done all its best to dominate anything he feels he can dominate and also making money of selling people’s data, so I think this time around, he can only create a coin that will be useful within its system and not a global coin.

for me there is nothing to be able to compete with bitcoin, because no coin is able to equal the bitcoin price and the bitcoin is still the king in crptocurrecny so no coins can match it.

Facebook coin is only a new here in cryptocurrency many problem would be facing the facebook coin on crypto industry before they can be more popular just like bitcoin, bitcoin is more trusted coin ever since and nobody beat the bitcoin.

I think price would tell if the facebook coin would be as great as bitcoin. If its productivity is going to be good as bitcoin, then it may compete to the greatness of bitcoin. But if not, its just an ordinary altcoin that has a value in the market. Bitcoin can never be having a revival unless the price and volume of that coin gets close to it.

Will need to see how much effective and useful FB coin would be because with the last data leak of the customers data people refrain using the FB and if it gets more intense than people would be least interested din their coin as well. BTC should be the king for next few years in coming time .

I don't think it is a bitcoin rival. Facebook coin will be more like a USDT rival as it should be a stable coin and if people can trade it. But this coin can help for the growth of the cryptos market.

If this global coin or facebook coin to be like USDT, i dont think we should worry because its still called centralized cryptocurrency and people prefer choosing decentralized cryptocurrency. you seems to forget that many projects and innovations have ben humble by bitcoin. No matter how diverse and global it might go, i doubt if can oust bitcoin as the world recognized cryptocurrency. crities are right about facebook a centralized body to move into the crypto decentralized system but we awaits to see the outcome come 2020.

Many coins already stated that they will be the new rival of BTC, but all of them failed. We can say the same too for the token that Facebook will be releasing in 2020, specially that their token will cater at a certain market as opposed on what BTC is catering right now. As we see it BTC is catering to the whole cryptocurrency market as a whole, because it is the main trading pair for many altcoins and it consists of more than 50% of the market.

I agree, but as far as i know, Globalcoin is a stable asset just like the others, which has no possibility of price movements, and still i bet bitcoin would still be the best without any rivals.
