I think it doesn't matter even if there is another coin will be launch because the rival is already end and bitcoin already prove that it is still a king after a decade so nothing to worry about. People always choose on the proven and trusted coin not in a new coin. Let's always face and accept the fact in this society

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

The plunge of Mark Zuckerberg as the richest businessman in the world will make crypto progress. But that does not mean it does not cause negative effects. Moreover, Mark Zuckerberg with all the financial resources and high internet technology capabilities can bring a big influence to GlobalCoin. What is very unfortunate is that Mark Zuckerberg does not use the existing blockchain system, so the blockchain that has a low influence on crypto will be difficult to rise. My opinion is that GlobalCoin will compete with the top 10 coins at the moment.

too fast to say globalcoin or crypto created by FB as a rival to bitcoin, that's because bitcoin cannot be replaced by anything even though with altcoins made by even large companies, bitcoin will still be the best.

They do have the money and the resources, but I still trust Bitcoin and Ethereum, if you are a developer and you have something to offer to the community or a new algo, for instance, I will not go to Mark I will just create one on my own, but see how it goes, could be another Electroneum in the making just a hype and promise.

That's true, they created their own blockchain system and it will be hard for a new system to attract investors but consider on the wealth of Mark Zuckerberg, I think he can encourage more investors to come and try their system. This can put a lot of pressure on the top 10 coins but not bitcoin because we still know who started this market and the price of altcoins still depend on bitcoin. Let's read more about the Globalcoin and wait for the Whitepaper from there, we can see a big potential of that coin or its just another utility token who will dump later on.

All i can say is many are trying to replace Bitcoin but none of them succeeded but if they can manage to gather lots of investors maybe they will be a rival in Bitcoin. But the way i see it, it is some kind of another shit coin that trying to create a monopoly with their devs and investors.

It doesn't matter if MZ has a lot of money the point is how he could manage to gather lots of investors to adopt into his/their new coins.

It may rival Bitcoin for first position, aside from all the hatred, FB is widely known so their coin should surely bring new users in crypto world.

Lol, Facebook coin may claim to be a rival of bitcoin but i bet anybody would invest into this useless cryptocurrency of his. I strongly doubt he can develop any strong use case for the facebook coin. This is going to be another useless coin that was ever minted into the cryptospace.

It's just an attempt by Facebook to make more money.

Besides being a digital 'currency' in a loose sense, it will be nothing like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is decentralized, unregulated and lasting. Facebook's coin is.... what exactly? Nothing but an over inflated and pumped up sh*tcoin.

I dont think facebook coin will face to face with bitcoin because i am believe have different purpose. Facebook coin could be big in the future because facebook is biggest social media in the world and with many members and mobile application, user will more easy making transaction

Why is this even a concern? There are around 4000 altcoins tokens in existence (actually I guess maybe much more but most are not listed or dead anyway). Each of them are a rival to Bitcoin if you think about it, and yet each of them will always fail to make Bitcoin come unstuck.

Check our Flippening of Ethereum on Google and see the ridiculous notions they have had about being top.

Anyway, Market Cap Number 1 or not doesn't matter to Bitcoin.

It's a great news no matter what. However, I also have doubts that some projects are missing the essential point of this market.

I don't see this as a rival to Bitcoin. One thing we should know is that, Bitcoin didn't just grow, it passed through stages, passed through badmouthing and took years to get where it is now. So there is no project which can pass through the same phases as Bitcoin as the crypto space and the world is now kinda fair unlike when Bitcoin started.
Bitcoin has no rival as it is and will remain the top cryptocurrency.

A coin that is yet to get launched nor taste what it means to be in the crypto space is now Bitcoin rival? How many coins have thought of overtaking or replacing Bitcoin and how many have succeeded?.
Bitcoin will remain at the top and not even Facebook coin will dethrone it.
I can't even compare Facebook coin to ETH let alone Bitcoin,.
Indeed, how can you treat a coin that does not yet exist? Why can non-existent cryptocurrency FB already compete with Bitcoin? It seems to me that this is too much hype. This will be another coin, which is already very much. However, it will not compete with Bitcoin, that's for sure.

Big news sites have confirmed that Facebook is giving a coin to them, with the market expanding and being welcomed by big technology corporations. Attracting new and well-known investors of crypto will make the market explode next year. But to be a rival of Bitcoin, I think not because Bitcoin has no new technology, but why is it always leading in this market. I guess most people think Bitcoin is gold

This FB coin will be nothing more than a centralized stablecoin. No matter what Zukerberg says about it.
Facebook have a long history of selling their users private data. Even when they implemented end-to-end encryption in WatsApp they are still keep saving backups of conversation on centralized cloud. FB usually bans everyone who does not support their liberal left ideology.
After that I would say that there is no connection between FB and true crypto market. Or maybe only a name.
I agree with you so well on this because I know that they are just creating this because they have made name for themselves and know that once people here that it is crypto related, they will definitely want to participate in it, though it would be of great help to the crypto world because it would help in creating more awareness to crypto market, and making more people than usual begin to trust in the market, so it's good we welcome it.

To begin with, this is a good new quite alright, as one after the other they are changing their mindset about blockchain and the cryptocurrency, reason being that they don't want to miss out.
On the other hand, saying this coin will be Bitcoin rival is kind of an insult to Bitcoin owing to the fact it ( Bitcoin) didn't grow due to hype, but it grew due to what it offers, it underlying technologies, potentials etc which didn't happen in a day but took years. Then all of a sudden Facebook coin which is yet to start it's journey in the crypto world is now a rival.
Let's take a while and study Bitcoin then we will know who truly will remain the number 1 coin.
