One of the challenges with many crypto projects is that Society is not yet ready for the kind of innovative ideas that is being proposed. Like you said, some of the projects that are currently struggling will get a boost when eventually there is mass adoption of cryptocurrencies. For now, only those that are able to gather enough community support and hype are thriving

that's right, and now almost 99% of investors have lost confidence in ico. ico scam or ico failed will have a major impact on other ico.
I have no intention of dropping ico, but that's what happens now.
ICO is no longer interested by investors and it is certain that ICO projects in this market are scam and it is best not to trust any ICO projects. I've lost a lot of money on bad projects and will definitely never return to ICO. Now the new IEO is the most mentioned topic in this market because of the opportunity to make a much bigger profit than normal ICO projects.

All posts by me after 2012 were a compromised account. Probably by "BBOD The Best Futures Exchange". SORRY Y'ALL

I personally do not believe this statistics that 99% of ICOs are scam, because some ICOs fail do not mean they are all scam. I usually tell people that starting an ICO is like starting a new business, it might succeed immediately, it might fail presently but have a great future and it might fail totally beyond redemption. So because a project is failing to perform presently or fail totally do not mean it is a scam. Don't get me wrong here, I never said there are no scam projects but the rate is not as high as alleged. Judging a project based on its first few years is wrong, give it time to realize its potentials.
You right, I had joining ICOs project from 2 years ago. So many experience I got, and I can learn from that.
ICO got fail it's not mean that a scam project, manager and team try them best to make it success too.

because many people have become victims of scam ICO, therefore most people consider the ICO almost 80% scam.
in fact there are many ICOs that have succeeded this year and hopefully people's awareness of ICO is getting better.

Make it over 90%, there's a lot of scam ICO that never had a chance to get listed in exchange.

Also, that study was published last july 2018 and that was the data only in 2017 and we should analyze and consider 2018 as well where for sure there's more scam ICOs.

in fact there are many ICOs that have succeeded this year and hopefully people's awareness of ICO is getting better.
it's still few of the many, if you can name at least 10 successful ICO, I would appreciate that.

At present many investors are traumatized by the ICO method. The ICO system is different from the IEO, in the IEO, the proceeds from the sale of tokens are held by the exchanger while the ICO proceeds from the sale of tokens are directly held by the developer team so that the developer team can run with investor funds, which happens a lot in 2018

Being quick judging ico projects is really a bad habit by some but yet they keep doing it. Most Ico projects out there are not scam projects, the fact that some ended up as scam does not mean all ico projects are scam. Some jut need finances to advance forward, some are stuck and some few funds will push them higher to their target.

Although there have been reported scam ICOs issues, ICOs have played important role in the revolutionary movement of crypto as it has helped many projects to have a successful token sales. IEO is different from ICO by the way the token sale is done through an exchange platform.

There is no question about that because crypto was more popular during the time when ICO was still selling, millions of dollars raise that time and that enters in the market, but unfortunately now these coins or tokens are close to worthless, at least majority of them.

With IEO now, people who loss in ICO are finding a better opportunity with a better investment platform.

most bounty hunters claim that ico is a scam because it is not paid, but this is not entirely true, because most ico programs fail due to not achieving the targeted softcap, the developer decides to return the investor funds that have been collected, then of course the bounty hunter also will not be paid, because the project failed, not because of a scam

If you really do understand Ico projects, you will sometimes decide to upport them because some are trying to enter the crypto market with crazy exceptional technology and ideas but they just lack the funds to proceed and the fact that most ico's ended as scam does not mean all ico's are scam projects and should be judged as such. Most Ico's need our support not judgement.

Personally I consider it to be a poor decision to judge ico projects without vivid information. Most crypto enthusiast are fond of bad mouthing new ico projects with no concrete evidence but these projects are at their dormant stages because they lack the funds and resources to push them up and with the help of just one investor into one of these projects, people will marvel as to how the project they spoke evil of sky rocketed. Judging ico's quickly is a bad idea and should be ignored.

Yeah your statement bis right. Maybe in this market there are many scam or even failed project available. Still there are some projects which reallybwant to make this spac good. Some of may holding really don't perform well but they are doing their job very appropriately.
But most of the investors invest in the icos cause they want some profit and most of them are unable to do that. That's why people are taking about scams and all the stuff. But if you are believed bin the technology then it's fine for you.

Judging is not ok here and I hate to judge the projects due to the popularity of the team. ICOs are not a money-making tree but investors want a passive income every day from invested projects. Quickly judging will not help, unfortunately. I prefer to wait for the first round of the pre-ICO before making an investment on any project.
yeah, that's right.
we cannot judge quickly, indeed now the market conditions are not so good for ICO. but i think you are right, we better wait for the first round to finish and after that we see how it develops. if they develop well, it would not hurt us to invest in the project.

indeed that still does not guarantee the results will be good. but we all know the true crypto market, all have no guarantees.

Agree, there are projects that do not have a high rating but succeed. But there are projects also that are too obvious that a scam that we should be aware of.

And yes, we should not be too judgy about the success of a certain project. Because there is no shortcut to success. It is a long way process like what Bitcoin have gone so far. Many people judged but look at Bitcoin now.

I think the goals of ITO ICO and IEO are almost the same, I have seen many projects that have so far developed and even though the price of tokens they created is down they always try to increase investors' confidence to see the products they have, but the success of the project is always linked with the price of tokens on the market, therefore I always buy and invest in ICO if they have real and good products for the future

Yes. I agree with your opinion, because not all ICO projects end in a scam. and it all depends on the team and management of the project. whether to bring their project to deceive investors [scam] or not
