Mintdice literally grew so fast that you guys could potentially acquire a whole another website, I don't know how it works in casino world since its just domains and you can at most redirect people to yourself but it was just an example of how big you got so suddenly Cheesy.

Free spins would be nice addition of course but I would say allowing us to do changes on the lines and the bets could be even better, for example one person may want to play slots where you win almost all the time but very tiny and when you lose rarely you lose the bet so like playing on 98% dice game, but some people may want the 50% one where you usually end up with same bankroll after hundreds of bets with tiny fractional changes because of house edge, some people may want the rare wins that make you rich suddenly but end up losing all the time until you win that big one.

Interesting idea. Since we have our own custom built slot machine software, adding something like this in would be relatively trivial all else equal. We can consider something like this when we get around to the slots upgrade later. I'd say more important than anything else, if our slot machines are popular enough when the time comes, we can devote more time and money to their development and vice versa.

Well, for people using non-provably fair / licensed softwares, they kind of have to use the predetermined odds that the machine comes with and that is pretty much that. Since we created our own machines, we can manipulate our odds to create all sorts of new machines that users may like with little difficulty. The most difficult part of the process would be simply adding in new themes (which isn't even that hard)... we presently have icy mint blue, minty fresh green and cinnamon hot red. The rest of it, like the numbers part, is relatively easy. And if the slot machine demand is there, we can add in a bunch more options later, so we'll have this discussion in a more real sense later in 2020 I imagine Smiley

Mintdice is a great website and we love it, it is one of the most entertaining casinos out in the world and I feel lucky to play here, yet it is actually very tiny compared to goliaths like facebook or reddit and all those websites that are probably 100000x bigger than mintdice had whole lot of design changes as well.

If mintdice has been working on their change since June to today and still have time to go, I can't even imagine how long it took those huge websites to have their changes. I know the new version will be much better but don't be worried if people don't like it at first, that is always the case when something we get used to changes, but than we get used to it and can't go back.

It is not really that sane to think about acquiring other smaller websites now. That is how the big corporations get bigger and I realize that is something they will have to think about eventually but we are talking about a casino that has about 40 pages on bitcointalk. Even the goliaths of this sector like stake and freebitcoin hasn't done something like that so it would be weird to have a website this small to go out and buy other competition to get bigger.

Definitely, it is a possibility in distant future but mintdice is already awesome as it is and I doubt they need to grow that big that quickly for now. They are already working on getting bigger and better inside and that's all we need and the owner is here constantly talking with us which is the most important part.

Yeah, I think that the expansion towards acquiring more websites might not be the best move especially at this time when most of the effort should still be on development and heavy advertising on social media platforms. The platform is already good but there's still a lot more room for improvement and I'm sure more people would be inclined into trying the games here but aren't all fully aware of its existence.

I second this. A lot of gaming sites where you can pay with BTC or alts are usually advertised on this forum or Telegram/Discord only. To reach the masses you need to advertise on Twitter, FB etc., especially if you want to attract people to your site who are not that familiar with crypto currencies.

The main problem for this people is that they usually don't own any coins, so sites would have to offer fiat deposits, too, which is very unlikely that they will do Wink

Advertising on social media is good but they also need to target the market according to the theme of their site. But for me the media that is capable of attracting a lot of players is google / facebook because this platform has targeted and customizable insight features.

And well, I agree with your idea, that the site will look perfect if they add an exchange for users who are new to crypto so they don't get confused in learning and getting started.

The main problem for this people is that they usually don't own any coins, so sites would have to offer fiat deposits, too, which is very unlikely that they will do Wink

If they want to advertise then they should avoid anything mainstream because 99% of people don't own crypto and won't own it and the exposure will just be a waste. In my opinion I think a good way to advertise a crypto casino is actually on tradingview. I don't know if you realise but I think they allow advertisements for certain sectors that people search for.

So if someone is constantely looking at Crypto charts like BTCUSD or ETHUSD or ETHBTC then the Tradingview will usually display Crypto only ads like Crypto exchanges like Bybit or promoting some type of ICOs.

I think this would be a better resource than Facebook because those advertisements are very expensive and keep in mind this is a very niche market. Just because someone is into Crypto they might not be into gambling and if someone is into gambling they might not be into crypto. Very ultra niche market.

Hence why the signature campaigns are very effective on this forum.

Or the casinos could basically just have a way of buying bitcoins with fiat as well? It doesn't have to be directly, you can't really offer people a way of buying bitcoins with fiat on a casino and not have too many legal issues about it, however they could redirect people to places like coinspayment.net or bitpay or whatever else they want and just have a "deposit with fiat" option where it is a third party app that allows people to give fiat and get bitcoin.

On top of that if mintdice offers a faucet like thing for a very very small amount they could actually get those people stick around as well. All these combined equals to mintdice going with the whole "advertise even in non-crypto casino world to get more customers" type of deal and have a lot of customers.

One thing we'd like to do is accept fiat deposits and give people Bitcoin to play with to make the whole process easier for everyone, but actually implementing such a system is nearly impossible (presumably largely because of fraud). Bitpay and all of them only tend to work in the reverse direction where you give them the Bitcoin and they credit with fiat.

Nonetheless, we are exploring options for working with fiat with MintDice. The major goal is to make it crypto-oriented but it's such a smaller market than crypto it's hard to stay that confined as we try to grow.

Well it's just an idea and suggestion, the rest let the developer decide. In my opinion if directing newbie players to the bitcoin payment service as you mentioned then it will still make these newbies confused especially if they are very lay.

The purpose of adding exchanges on the site is to allow players to deposit with fiat which they can only use fiat to exchange for coins and cannot be played.

^ Having some sort of partnership with a "fiat to crypto or vice versa" type of company like bitpay could actually help any casino a lot but partnership on casinos are not easy for those companies. Those companies pay a tax and they are mostly legal not in the "curacao" sense but actually legal in USA (or wherever) and pay taxes there as well and have lawyers and accountants and whatever.

So, telling them to "partner up with casino" would make things harder for those companies like bitpay, it may not be allowed for an american company (or wherever) to actually let a casino get deposits directly via bitpay, law may state that casinos should not have any ties with any "banks" in their country which is why the idea is great but the legality could be difficult.

Of course, signature campaigns are a very good way to advertise a project. The project immediatly gets known to hundreds and thousands of users, but those users are already into crypto and already may know that there are gambling sites which let you gamble with your cryptos.

The main problem is that this potential userbase is currently finite due to the fact that there are not that many new people registering per day compared to eg. 2017. So if a site wants to attract a whole new userbase marketingefforts have to be extended out of the span of this forum, too, in my opinion.

As far as I know Bitpay only does Crypto to Fiat and not Fiat to Crypto. They basically give you a code you add to your website and it shows the user a QR code and they send Crypto, it automatically converts to Fiat and that fiat is later sent to the company by a wire transfer or direct transfer.

Going Fiat to Crypto is more difficult due to many reasons such as security and laundering laws. This is why many exchanges require KYC. Without KYC is difficult unless the person wants to go to some Bitcoin ATM. But another reason why is because credit card fraud is easy and Crypto is not reversible. This is the main reason why it would be too easy for some hacker to deposit Fiat by Credit card, get Crypto, withdraw Crypto and the charge would get reversed a few days later. Who would be liable.

Hence this forum or maybe some Crypto gambling telegrams or discord is the only way to effectively advertise to seek this niche audience.

Yup. Bitpay is a Bitcoin payment processor,,, meaning to say they process bitcoin payments to merchants on their behalf. You pay crypto, (I think now it is BTC and BCH) and they merchant only gets fiat from BitPay.

It is not merely I think not more difficult to accept fiat to crypto, it is actually not possible at the moment!

Sometimes I consider if signature campaigns are as great as everyone believes it is. We have been doing signature campaigns for over 5 years as a forum now, and people continue to do it as well which tells me if it didn't worked they wouldn't do it neither.

But, as soon as a company or a website gets big enough they stop doing it, so it may not really be great for a place that already has a lot of people but might only work for places that are new and want to get their name heard. It is not sustainable forever if you ask me, if it was we would see places that are 5+ years old still doing signature campaigns but not many of them exists. So, all places that are under 1 or 2 years are doing it to keep their names up and "public awareness" is the only true reason for it.

2017. So if a site wants to attract a whole new userbase marketingefforts have to be extended out of the span of this forum, too, in my opinion.

many gambling sites that have a sig campaign on this forum have come and go  . most of them got a hype at thier early run of campaign but after the stop the campaign the hype also dissapear along with it  .

not all times sig campaigns work perfectly  or maybe the problem was not on a campaign ? but on the gambling site itself ? because they might be lacking of something that a gambler wants  .  and i dont think that year matters .  2017 and 2019 are the same imo @Lakai01

Maybe signature campaigns are just "that" and nothing more. It only makes people remember you exist and that is how you stay afloat. When you do signature campaign and get new people that is good but when you stop it that means you are leaking customers, there will be more people going out compared to coming it.

However, when you keep doing signature campaigns that may equal to actually making people comeback as well, they might have left for any reason at all and eventually after gambling in other places as well they might think "maybe I should give it another chance" and comeback. Signature campaigns basically keep making see your name over and over again and when you have like a contest or a promotion etc you could showcase that which would make them comeback even faster.
