I think the easiest draw was for Juventus and Barcelona but mostly for Juventus.I think it is the only game where we all can agree that an upset will not happen and Juventus will qualify out of this duel.Real and Manchester City is one of the strongest games and will be beautiful to watch on Tv.Atletico Madrid vs Liverpool is another strong couple so overall good draw for the final stages of Champions League.

My only objections to Tomahawk's predictions will be Bayern to qualify at the expense of Chelsea and I don't by any means foresee Napoli eliminating Barcelona...

you guys should wait for the january transfer window and then come back here to make a real prediction 

i believe there will be a key signing no matter from the manager side or of course the player side to transfer each other , for example jadon sancho from dortmund to chelsea this transfer will strengthen chelsea side but make dortmund weaker.
eventhough i agree that some upset in the round of 16 likely could happened, as this season itself become the strange season for the favories.
bayern munich in the league fall to 7th position , the lowest position in the last 10 or 20 years maybe.

liverpool in english premier league have a gap of 10 points as manchester city run slow.
and in la liga real madrid that signed a lot of top players still struggling this season.
this is a year of upset for the favorites , i believe so.

I agree that there are favorites in some of the draws, but it is much too early to make picks on the teams that would emerge victorious, forms would rise and fall before the fixtures kick off, players/managers would also be bought, sold and sacked.

My tie of the round would be Dortmund vs PSG, then Atletico vs Liverpool.

I have not seen the history of the match between Real Madrid vs. Manchester City, how would it react if this match starts soon, as if it was my first time watching this match Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Among all those teams, only Tottenham, Juventus and Barcelona seem to have significant advantages against their competitors. Atalanta, with their first season in Champions League still have a lucky match with Valencia, but it is hard to say they can win against Valencia. For the rest pairs, any team can win and it is so hard to predict which teams will win.

If I have to choose, I will choose PSG, Manchester City, Valencia, Liverpool, Bayern, Juventus, Tottenham, and Barcelona.

Some my thoughts about round of 16
Dortmund vs PSG - I would like to see P$G eliminated early another season, but it's hardly predictable pair
Real Madrid vs Manchester City - currently Real is playing better, but lot of things may change until February. It's 50/50 pair
Atalanta vs Valencia - both teams should be happen about opponent, you simply can't expect something better in this round. I give advantage to Valencia, because they have more experience in such stage and they are slightly better team overal
Atletico vs Liverpool - Atletico aren't playing well this season, while Liverpool is simply amazing so far
Chelsea vs Bayern - I like to watch Lampard's Chelsea, but they aren't ready to eliminate Bayern yet
Lyon vs Juventus - Juve should go further without many questions
Tottenham vs Leipzig - it should be interesting. Maybe Spurs are little favorites, but c'mon, they are playing against one of the best Bundesliga teams. Everything is possible here
Napoli vs Barcelona - as Barca fan I'm happy about draw. After they sacked Ancelotti and hired Gattuso, I think it's good opponent. But still, I have some fears knowing recent Barca history in knockout stages.

What I know is that Naples is really good if playing at UCL is different again in the domestic league unlike at UCL, Barcelona is also a formidable opponent so that it is possible to play in the first leg and determine anti in the second leg both. the club will keep on trying to win again to qualify for the Big 8.
I love seeing Napoli play in the UCL league.

I think there are some matches that will be easy to guess in this phase 16, example Juventus vs Lyon and Tottenham Vs Leipzig.
PSG, MANCHESTER CITY, CHELSEA, BARCELONA,  LIVERPOOL, VALENCIA I think getting a difficult opponent. This will be good for UEFA Champions League.

Tottenham Vs Leipzig is not an easy one. Leipzig is one team which has a good attacking line and with tottenham having defensive issues I don't think it will be easy for them to hold down Leipzig in round of 16.  Lyon is not that capable I think but they are also capable of surprising. Its not easy mate...its not easy..

I expected more from Ajax this CL but guess their group wasn't that easy . Last CL english teams dominated. Wonder if it will be same again this year.

Are you really sure that Napoli has what it takes to beat and eliminate Barcelona because I honestly don't believe that they have it in them especially since they just had a change in management and looking at their weekend loss against Parma under Gattuso,  there is simply no way they can make it. I will also be tipping Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich rather.

The luckiest team however is Valencia, as Atalanta is considered as the weakest opponent in this round.
The most interesting game would be Real vs City indeed, and I think that this is City's time to proceed further in the cup.

Dortmund vs PSG - PSG is too hot to handle for Dortmund. Also PSG gonna have 2nd leg at home. Neymar is back too, almost zero chance for Dortmund.
Real Madrid vs Manchester City  - Another bad CL season coming for Real Madrid. Manchester City will win.
Atalanta vs Valencia - Valencia is playing pretty balanced both in home league and CL. I won't be surprised if it reaches in Quarter Finals as one of the two Spanish side.
Atletico vs Liverpool - If any match is likely to be most prone to upset, this one is my pick. I am currently rooting for Liverpool's victory but AM can win this one provided that Liverpool's performance against non-English sides is not as convincing as in Premier League so far this season.
Chelsea vs Bayern - Hehe, poor Chelsea. Bayern is in top-gear. Coutinho and Muller are coming back in-form. It seems like Bayern is playing with 4 strikers. Chelsea will lose both legs.
Lyon vs Juventus - Easy draw for Juventus. Last year Messi's team defeated Lyon in Round of 16. This time, Ronaldo will have the pleasure.
Tottenham vs Leipzig - Tottenham is too unstable. Leipzig is comparatively better side IMO. It will become second German team to qualify for Quarters alongside Bayern.
Napoli vs Barcelona - Barcelona's away form is awful. Barca at home is entirely different team from Barca away from home. At home, it can win games even from 5 goals deficit (PSG vs Barcelona). On the contrary, it can lose away games even from 3-0 leads (Liverpool and Roma). It's good that 2nd leg is at home and Napoli is not strong enough to survive at Camp Nou.

Dortmund vs PSG - PSG is still red-hot... A combination of Mbappe, Neymer, Cavani are just going to tear Dortmund's defense into shreds

Real Madrid vs Manchester City - 50/50 draw. I will give it to Real Madrid. City are far from their best form they showed last season unless they turn things around before Feb

Atalanta vs Valencia - The surprise package for this season, I expect Atalanta is surprise Valencia and proceed on to the next round.

For sure, Liverpool will scale pass Athletico Madrid. I have no doubt about my team. Since Greizman left, Athletico have been a shadow of their former self. Looking forward to seeing Liverpool in the quarter finals.

Chelsea vs Bayern - Bayern Munich will eliminate Chelsea especially if they come out on the day they want to score 4 goals plus

Chelsea have lacked consistency this season and I don't think they can hold a tean like Bayern back from moving to the next round.
