The problem is that finding a vaccine for a disease takes tremendous amount of time because everything has to be tested over and over again. So, in a nutshell, it is the best to reschedule Euro 2020 till 2021.

I'm not sure what my statement about finding a vaccine has to do with each country solving it's own problems. Don't you think that everyone will have access to vaccine when it's developed? I'm sure that a company that develops a vaccine will put it to market ass soon as possible. For the right price, of course.

If a worker can work 345 of 365 days a year for 20k yearly, I'm pretty sure they can run for 300 days a year for some millions.

Of course there are some stupid actions. I just don't like those "they are payed in millions so they better run" comments. You can give someone a billion dollars to run 100 meters in less than 7 seconds, but no one will be able to do it. They have big salaries because they are in high demand. All occupations have risks and income. Football is not just an ordinary sport, in which there is a running business. Therefore every soccer player can get a bigger salary, because every field of the job is different.

The fact is there is no easy job because every job is important. The only difference is that some workers are more valuable because of their abilities. There are plenty of people that are capable od working at a cash register, but there are only a handful of people that can play football like professional players do. Besides, if you think that playing football like a professional player is easy, why don't you try? Wouldn't you like to earn millions for playing football?

The fact is there is no easy job because every job is important. The only difference is that some workers are more valuable because of their abilities. i would add story from one of my co-workers, that is programming alarm systems, but could be any other business - they are not paying their skills on the field, they are paying them because of popularity, aka. number of people that is watching them while they play, if 10.000 people would cheer him up while programming alarm system and watch it every time, he would also make millions, and that is the same for cash worker, and most of other workplaces, take for example famous cooks, they are maybe not the best but people like to watch them and they are popular, so pay is raising

I doubt UCL will resume this year as there was a new statement world wide and we probably going to sit home until the end of August so there is no way UCL will resume this year and I wonder if Man.City will get the ban lifted for the next year as they couldn't play this year in UCL like all the other teams so it would be fair-play from FIFA to grant them access for 2021.

If somehow the UCL resumes I doubt it will gather any attention as the world is too panicked right now to think of sports....

I think the best decision is to postpone all sporting activities until further notice. Because date shifting, organizing meetings (even if its zoom) is not needed at this point.
Suspend all tournaments, let the world heal and recover, then debates can start on a complete overhaul of season.

But in my own opinion, i will say end this season any time it ends, void the coming season, so players can prepare for euros, then refresh the league 2021/2022.

Perhaps until further notice, removes speculations.

This was really an inevitable decision to happen and I was wondering why members here are assuming that since they postponed the Euros first it was because they want to give priority for both UCL and UEL which looking at it realistically isn't possible. Europe particularly in Italy, U.K., Spain, and France doesn't show signs of the infection slowing down and these four countries who have a lot of infections are the ones who are still part of the Champions league so without them recovering until now I don't see UEFA continuing their competition. Other than that we have seen reports of teams having players being infected with the COVID-19 some of them are even the star of the team like Dybala and I don't think Juventus will let the competition continue with their team being underpowered.

@Theb yea we all knew this was coming and I too wasn’t optimistic about the leagues resuming again anytime soon, but now we officially know that’s it’s not coming in April or May. In my personal opinion we won’t have the 2020 - 2021 season instead we will see the resumption of 2019 - 2020 season sometime later in the year and once all the leagues end then Euro 2021 will be played (*this is just my theory, not a official statement*).

If we want to see Champions League being played again, we firstly have to see all the European leagues to be played again.
By the time at least one of the leagues is postponed we are not going to see the competition proceeding anymore.

My prediction, and too bad Spurs got knocked out already ;( is that all the clubs will be able to play full strength teams all healthy,,, but not all match fit. So we might be seeing full squads but the football will not be very nice to watch when it all restarts again.

I remember playing after many months even keeping fit in gym, when you are on the field again it is completely different.

If (and I hope we do) the season resumes you’re right, it could be a good idea to bet on an underdog, who knows maybe PSG will win it finally. I think Bayern are looking really good right now though.
